Great location and services. Food was relatively good if you think of it as a bufet meal however italy has much better food. Deserts were low quality and not italian standards.

The resort is secluded and unless you have your own car, it is not worth going around the area. This resort is good for families with children as there are lots of activities for them. The beach is very good and the sea very clean and clear.

We spent one week here. We stayed at the bungalows in the garden and had noisy neighbours who used to smoke outside. The food was ok, there were things that were very good and things less good. Everything was perfect! Lot of attention for cleaning both internal and external areas. Central position at 200mt from the main beach. Thanks to the Modica Beach resort and all it's staff for their support in organising our beach wedding. It was a fabulous day and we loved every moment. We especially want to thank the directors, the chefs, the maître d', the bartender and everyone else involved behind the scenes. Large and modern designed room, the rollaway bunk bed was fine even for two teenagers. A large terrace for the ground floor rooms. The reception staff is friendly and speaks good English. This is a nice hotel, quite comfortable but noise carries through the rooms. In fairness the room was quiet during the night. We’ve stayed here before and it was good , this stay the only downfall was the cleaners would begin ( I won’t say early ) cleaning and be making lots of noise moving furniture around , we were on first floor so top floor I would imagine wouldn’t hear them. Nice place, very close to the beach, with dedicated parking right in front the apartment. The apartment was clean and with all the services and furniture needed for a long stay (washing machine, etc.) The residebce has a pool, however they have access hours and the use of swimming cap is required. Wonderful hotel that hails back to the golden age of travel. This family run hotel has impeccable staff who provide a marvellous experience in this unique historical area. This is obviously an old Palazzo turned into a hotel and not a purpose built new hotel. It has charm and history and old-fashioned service. There is a nice little cafe serving traditional breakfast. We had a room in the annex which was 30 second walk from the main hotel building but was very peaceful and a lovely room. Hotel staff were fabulous and extremely helpful. Hotel offered reasonably priced valet parking which given the tight roads, tricky parking situation and confusing one way systems I would recommend!

Everything was great except for the restaurant manager, whose attitude was appalling. He seemed to go out of his way to ruin our evening - clearly more interested in asserting control over a group of women than providing good service. It felt like he was on a power trip, taking himself far too seriously. Really disappointing behaviour in an otherwise lovely place.

Out of season stay for work in October , staff very friendly and helpful and rooms clean. No tea or coffee facilities in room . Disappointed pool was closed as that was the reason for booking. Breakfast minimal and noisey and dinner was cold. Probably great in the summer but would get an appartment next time

Ideal structure for families where there is only one pedestrian crossing that leads comfortably to the private beach. It is well-kept and has only a few rows so you can enjoy the nearby sea. Excellent location 20 meters from the private beach and close to the center of Ragusa marina. Comfortable swimming pool and good restaurant service too. The only note is that there is no beach bar and the opening times of the beach 9.00 and the swimming pool 10.00 seem too late to me

Wonderful place, amazing staff. We stayed here with our two young kids and it was a great experience. We stayed in multiple units, each one of them well equipped and with a view. Raffaela and I spoke even before our visit and she made sure our son and we were comfortable with the sleeping situation when he slept downstairs in varacuzze for a few days. This was our second visit to La Scibina. It is a little slice of heaven. The staff makes you feel very welcome. Breakfast changes daily and is a minefield of cakes and traditional Sicilian dishes. The gardens with pool and lounge area makes you want to stay and never leave. In the end we did leave, but we will surely come back some day.

A wonderful place, near the center but surrounded by nature, a great pool, really nice style of the rooms and in the garden you can collect spices, herbs and fruit from the trees, exciting! The breakfast (not recommended for those on a diet :-) buffet is served in the old vault. Run by young boys like being in a big family!

Very suggestive ancient structure in local stone, spacious apartments, taps and toilets to be modernized. Breakfast to rethink, frozen croissants, some soft fruit and poorly kept in the fridge because it is frozen, no typical handcrafted products. Pity. Excellent location if you want to visit the Ragusa area. 10 minutes by car to get to the sea. Clean room and comfy bed! Abundant breakfast, also gluten-free (on request). The owner is very nice and helpful.

Fantastic experience, the host Enzo is a kind and helpful person, the b&b is very clean and comfortable, at first impression it may seem isolated in the open countryside but in fact it is in a perfect logistical position to reach Ragusa Ibla on one side, Marina di Ragusa on the other, without wasting time in traffic. I absolutely recommend going if you have to stay in the area!!

Excellent location on the beach - though other amenities were a bit of a walk away. Room had a balcony and view directly over the beach and sea. Made to feel welcome by lovely staff.

In front of the beach. Rooms with terrace facing the sea have a very nice view. Relaxing place. Possibility to take breakfast in to the room terrace. A walk away from Punta Secca, by car too Ragusa and Modica, are not far.

If you want to go for a holiday but still wish to feel at home, Mar & Sol is the place for you! Right on the beach, spotless clean, very friendly staff - wonderful experience!
