There were many plants around, and many bugs crawled in through the windows. Later, I went to the front desk and was asked to change rooms. People in the rooms next to me were talking and laughing loudly in the middle of the night, without caring about the feelings of the surrounding tenants. The fragrance in the room was a bit pungent, and the accommodation experience was a bit poor.

Nice rooms, every day they bring fresh towels and clean everything. Kitchen is a bit on the small side with very basic content in terms of cutlery. But that won't stop you from having a great holiday here. Very friendly staff, the girl at the desk speaks very good english. Worth to stay!

Super. Great food at affordable prices and nice atmosphere. Been coming here since the early 2000s and it remains one of the best restaurants in Varese with friendly and swift service. Great Emilian cuisine in the heart of Lombardy.

A really cosy, homey hotel, perfect, very friendly service and atmosphere with a stylish variety. Every room is different and lovely designed. Excellent food, very reasonable prices, great breakfast and the perfect location in the centre, a quiet corner with everything in walking distance. We stayed 4 nights and love to come back! We absolutely recommend it!

Been there for dinner, great aperitivo, really good pasta and a waiter who went the extra mile to make us feel like at home. Definitely worth a visit. Reservation recommended.

We had a lovely stay here in hotel Stelvio, for two days we enjoyed a clean and charming room with a nice bathroom. The breakfast provided was very good, lot to choose from; the owners are polite and professional! I would totally recommend this place to others. Very close to town, too.

Very tidy and well located hotel. Clean and spacious rooms. The only drawback is the tend of light switch emitting light all night long in the room.

Great hotel, free parking, gated at night. The hotel is modern and only 10 minutes to center of town, supermarket right down the street. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was great. A perfect location if you plan on exploring the lakes region of northern Italy. The town of a Varese is very beautiful with lots of great places to eat and hang out.

A quiet, cheap, minimal hotel. You get what you pay for. The room was clean, there was a bathroom with a shower, there were towels and toiletries. The breakfast was a normal minimalist breakfast of coffee and pastries. I felt we had good value for our money.

Went for lunch. Nice place with beautiful view. Excellent food. Alas I visited during covid so I could try only the bistrot and not the restaurant. Only 4 stars because the table column didn't allow for comfortable seating, but that was our table only, other tables seemed ok.

Every dish in this restaurant is a work of art. Anyone, who knows how to enjoy life should visit this wonderful place one day...

We were well looked after both with super fine dining and in the beautifully decorated rooms. The views are stunning from the terraces and the balconies which all rooms have. We would recommend it to anyone.

Awesome location with a great view over Varese and surrounding lakes, very piece full location if you want to relax! The food in the restaurant is of a very good quality, what tastes even better with a good glass of wine. The staff is with one word amazing 🙂 always friendly and willing to help you, especially Carmen is funny and always smiling!

Very nice and relaxing atmosphere on top of the Sacro Monte. The feeling you get coming up here is one of great excitement and relaxation. You can have a glass of wine, and all you can here is the wind and the crickets. On a good day from the terrace, you can see all the way to Milan, which is 70km away, and if you turn around, you can see the french alps. What a great place. But they are not happy...

It is difficult to find the destination and parking is a big problem. Friendly staff. The tower room has a great view down to the city and the lakes, but is €190 a night too much in September? The Italian breakfast was modest. The cleaning was not up to a good standard. The restaurant was the most expensive during our 10-day trip to Italy. We've been here once, we won't go here again.

Spectacular views but very narrow road up the mountain not suitable for larger vehicles. Staff were complaining about re-entering hotel after midnight if we went out which seems absurd as it is clearly a 24 hour operation.

The view from the terrace is exceptional. I wouldn’t normally comment on the music and ambience but that was great too. The food and drink was exactly what we needed after a long climb to the top. Also - you should read about the building with all the antennas coming out of it. There’s a cool story and rich history behind it 👀

I booked this place on a hunch for a night on our way from Germany to France. I am very sad that I cannot give 5 stars and I consider the 4 stars pretty generous. I knew the rooms were pretty simple but when making the reservation I figured the views out of the rooms would totally make up for it and make our brief stay extra special. Stayed for two nights. The room's decoration was something to discover, lots of details and curious objects in it - the Jester room. Unfortunately the bathroom seemed to be falling apart a bit: the showerhead was broken and there were a some tiles loose which seemingly attracted a couple ants. Location was great though, and the person caring for the rooms was also very nice.

Very nice and well furnished apartments, but some of them lack of air conditioning. Our host was a very patient person, she waited us to check-in till the late evening, despite celebrating ferragosta!

We made a side trip to Varese and spontaneously decided to stay at "Villa Adriana". When we arrived we were so pleased by the charm of the villa, the rooms and the friendliness of the staff that we directly extended another night. The rooms are very clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast has been sufficient for us. Certainly one or the other is getting on in years, but that is just what makes...

Villa Adriana in Varese is an amazing place to stay. Everything can be found here ! It's peacefull and naturaly beautifull. Villa itself is very nice historical building. It touched my heart ! ♥️👌

My wife and I enjoyed a nice time and welcome at the Villa Adriana. Although we didn't book any room and came unexpectedly, it wasn't a problem. For worse, we got lost in Varese, stuck front of the Villa Panza museum, where the owner accepted immediately to come and lead us to her villa. We quickly agreed on 70 euros, breakfast included, for a rather small bedroom for two with a good bathroom however...

Fabio is a very dedicated host and loves what he does. This has an effect on everything the guest experiences in his home: starting from the lovely served breakfast and continuing with all the tipps and tricks shared with guest about eventual trips in the area. We would love to return back to Fabio's home some time again in the future and be his guests!

My stay at Al Nifontano B & B was just wonderful :) the view of the lake is lovely, the B & B is lovingly decorated and I felt welcome. We are very happy that we found this pearl in Varese. Nifontano BB is a very nice place to stay and the owners are very kind and helpful. We were in Vareses for cycling and the Nifontano BB was perfekt for us. We will Always remember the nice view over Lago di Varese and the mountains from the garden.

I have just (unfortunately) finished my short stay at this property, and I can say that I found myself very well. It was a hit and run, a sudden and unexpected short trip to the "Garden City". I will keep a good memory of this short but intense stay thanks to the B&B Nifontano. The value for money is excellent, the owner is very nice and helpful, he will be happy to give you information despite speaking broken French. You are close to the Sacro Monti of Varese but quite far from the city center, it is better to have a car. Your car will be safe inside the property.

Wonderful place close to the mountain, therefore with "natural air conditioning"! Quiet, clean, essential services and exquisite owners from whom certain pentastellati hoteliers should learn .. highly recommended also in the price.
