Edom Hotel

The hotel was clean and closer to Petra gate. Great location to stay.

1. Best location for Petra tour & cheap price for location
The price of food and accommodation in/around Petra is much more expensive than other places in Jordan. So I considered accommodations located very high up for cheap accommodation, but I was really glad that I ended up choosing Edom Hotel. Even though I walk a lot all day, I get quite tired after visiting Petra. However, I have to walk uphill again to get to the accommodation, and the restaurants and cafes are located below, so it seems difficult to get to and from. Compared to other hotels attached to Edom Hotel, the location is really close, and the star rating is high, but the price is not expensive. I stayed for one day and tried to make a reservation for the next day, but the reservation site said it was full, but the front desk said there was a vacant room, so I could stay for another day. It was much cheaper because I paid directly at the front desk.

2. Good facilities for laundry/slightly old bathroom
There is a terrace. It was nice to bring a clothesline and dry my laundry on the terrace. The shower filter that I brought was replaceable, and there was a bathtub so I could step on it and do laundry.

However, one of the screws on the hotel toilet lid broke, so I often hit my back on the toilet lid while using the toilet..ㅋㅋ Considering that the facilities of all the hotels within walking distance of Petra are very outdated, this was a decent price for the level.

3. Spacious restaurant & various breakfast menus
The restaurant is very large and spacious, so there are many seats. I was able to enjoy breakfast without it being too crowded. When I entered the breakfast room, all the staff I met greeted me brightly, which was very warm.

4. Front desk currency exchange
You can exchange money in person at the hotel front desk, and if you don't have change, they will try to help you somehow.

Very good hotel, it is less than 5 minutes walk from the place where the intercity buses arrive and depart, and 2 minutes from the entrance to Petra, 100% worth it.

Good hotel, no complaints really except the breakfast was a bit expensive. Modern rooms and very nice employees.

The location is perfect to enjoy Petra.
The hotel is a bit old, but still good enough.
Not only the room was clean and neat, but also the staffs are super kind and friendly.
I will definetly stay at this hotel, if I come to Petra again.

Very nice hotel and the owner ,the staff and all the people where very helpful and very welcoming.
It's the place to to stay in if you visit Petra.

Best location. Just a 3 mins walk to the Petra entrance. Everything is good here. Breakfast is adequate. Comfy bed. Love their glass lift

Great value for money. The location is perfect if you plan on taking the hike of Petra afterwards because when you’re exhausted it’s good to have the hotel next to the entrance! The rooms were average with WiFi barely working in them (6th floor) but they do have a nice rooftop were it worked well! Unfortunately no one was working there so I can’t comment on the quality of beverages there.
Breakfast is ok.

Nice little hotel. Stayed here on the G Adventures tour. Friendly staff, clean and functional room. Hotel restaurant was great - I didn't expect much but it was wonderful with large platters, salads, chocolate cakes. Rooftop view. Highly recommend. Thank you

The rooms were clean and spacious, and free drinks were provided.
The staff were kind and friendly.
It's located in a very convenient location, about a 1-2 minute walk from the entrance to the Petra ruins.
Although it's a three-star hotel, the quality is at least four stars. The price is also reasonable, so I highly recommend it.
