We can only warmly recommend the hotel from start to finish.
It starts with the nice staff, whether front office manager, housekeeping or the waiters in the restaurant, everyone is very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was freshly prepared and very tasty. The additional dishes besides the selection at the buffet were also very good and fresh.
We loved the idea of using the tents as rooms. Of course, you should be prepared to encounter a gecko, frog or snail in the bathroom, after all, you are also booking a nature experience here!
The cocktails are also very good, happy hour from 4-6 can only be recommended.
The white beach was always clean and well maintained, as was the entire resort!
If I were to come to Koh Rong again, I would check in here again!

Went there with my friend, felt like we were on a honeymoon, this part of the island was somehow quiet with nothing to do much in the night time, would be ideally for couple who want quiet time. Would be a bit boring for youngsters or adults in their 20-30.

We stayed here around a week with my girlfriend and had an experience with sea front, sea view and jungle tents. All those tents were very good and even jungle tent is not far away from the sea nor cafeteria.
We liked very much the calmness of the place. Beautiful sea and the beach. Friendly prices and good food in the cafeteria, also very friendly staff, especially Chantrea with his beautiful soul :)
We absolutely had relaxing time there and we are very happy with it. We strongly recommend.
Staff is awesome in general, very friendly and nice people. I had a medical emergency and all of the staff including the owner, were very helpful and available. They personally took care of me, which practically and also mentally helped a lot. I would like to thank the owner Alex and all the staff for their assistance. I will never forget that.

We had a wonderful stay of several days at the Tamu Koh Rong, tropical paradise, great atmosphere, the kindest staff and great food. Thank you Mr Hun, Mr Chanthrea, Mr Mien and all others for your great service.

What a great surprise !
Everything is great in this hotel. Delicious food and tasty drinks.
Peaceful pool with beautiful jungle environment, and the beach is gorgeous. White sand and clear water.
Perfect place for relaxing and disconnecting from work and big cities.
Lovely and super friendly staff who can arrange anything for you from A to Z. They have a speedboat that pick you ups from Sihanoukville pier directly to the stands of the resort. How nice !
The rooms are spacious and modern, and there's everything you need in it.
I had the chance to meet Raphael, the Hotel Manager, who was of great assistance and very professional.
I had an amazing time at Tamu and will definitely return there !

Beautiful beach. Nice clear and calm water. White sand. The staff at the restaurant are good. Especially the older guy at the restaurant. He is very good.
This is my personal experience at the hotel.
We paid 170$ per night at the hotel and the room and hotel area is always dirty. For 170$ per night the standard should be better. We let them come and clean the room 1 time and it only took the 10-20 minutes to clean it. Which is very quick for cleaning everything…..🥹
Out door shower and toilet. Good concept but when you have to use it and dealing with it for 4 nights. It’s a nightmare. All the bugs, insects and mosquitoes are everywhere. You can’t even use the toilet in peace. You will get covered by mosquitoes by the time you finish using the toilet. I’m from Thailand and I feel scared every time to go use the toilet. I have to make sure the toilet lid is always closed when we don’t use it.
Bedroom: lovely bed and pillows. Good size of the room. The fan at our room is broken but the hotel gave us a standing fan instead. A lot of insects inside the room. Under ours bed 😅 we have to have sure we strip the bed to look under the blanket before we go in. They should have a broom for guess to clean the room. Should have more then 1 floor mat.
Breakfast: good breakfast. One of the best things i like here. The breakfast is 5 stars ⭐️ and staff at the restaurant are good.
Beach area, mattress: we stay there for 4 nights. I only see 1 day that have people came and sweep the mattresses. We found centipede under our mattress. 🥲 luckily it didn’t bite us or my son. Also we found snake skin too. The guy at the hotel when we cheeked in he said this island have no snake. Well, it’s not true.
I think staff should at least in the morning clean the mattresses and flips them over to cheek and clean it before guests using it.
Swimming pool: ok. Small but it’s long. You can swim if no one around. I sat it on the step inside the pool and my swimming suit turn dark green on the area of my bottom. 😅 maybe they need to clean the pool more.

The bed is so comfortable and the sounds of the waves and the forest send you off for a peaceful nights sleep.
The shower - the water is hot and lasts for the whole shower time so you can have a wonderful shower outside.
The beach is beautiful and the hotel provides free kayaks and SUP boards for activities.
The staff are super friendly and smile at you and say good morning and good night.
The receptionist (Sorry forget your name) was particularly helpful and accommodated our many requests and gave us useful advice on a windy day (go to the other side of the island with the motorbike as it would be calm). Booked a boat tour for us and arranged transport on our first/last day.
Not a negative just a note - We probably wouldn’t stay again in the tent at least but not because of the hotel just personally we realised a tent is not for us. Perhaps the rooms would more suitable to us.

We stayed at Tamu, Koh Rong for the last week of our honeymoon over New Year in one of the sea view deluxe tents.
Pagoda beach where the hotel is located is stunning, we don't think we have ever seen waters so blue! The beach loungers for the hotel are so comfortable and it's one of the only hotels on the beach that has natural shade from the palm trees to escape the heat!
The tent was spacious and comfortable, well suited to the outdoorsy type and you can really reconnect with nature in the outside bathroom (which we loved!) but would recommend keeping the lights off as much as possible to avoid attracting too many insects and perhaps bring ear plugs if you aren't an early riser!
Breakfast provides a small variety of continental options alongside hot, fresh options including eggs, pancakes and fried rice/soup. On the face of it, the menu doesn't cater very well here for vegetarians but if you ask the staff (namely Nin) she was more than happy to speak to the kitchen on a few occasions and come up with options for us, all of which were delicious. If you are coming for a special occasion we would highly recommend a candlelit dinner on the beach, such a special evening!
The best part of our stay by far however was the staff who looked after us; a huge thank you to Ann and Nin for their front of house expertise and guidance, and for Mean and June for looking after us so well during meal times and beyond! Everyone was so friendly, warm and couldn't do enough for us, a real credit to the hotel! We were happy to help with some English speaking practice as the staff were all clearly keen to learn and improve!
Overall Tamu has stolen our hearts and was the perfect setting to end our trip and to relax and recharge in an idyllic, paradise setting! ❤️

All staff there are the best, few speak little English, but they fascinating about their work and try their best to communicate, I really love to see that. Tent rooms are very comfortable, specifically the bed, but might not be good for those who has back pain, but they have normal room (no tent).
Food was very good, but breakfast is very limited and might be boring for those staying for more than a week.
It is the only place that has more trees on this beach.

A hidden gem of Koh Rong! Absolutely amazing!
We were in the seafront tent at Tamu n loved it. The staff were so kind and welcoming. Greeted us like old friends.Ann, Mark and Ariel, we will come back for sure.
