The rooms are clean and have everything you need. From sewing kit, toothbrush, toothpaste, to coffee machine. I missed only slippers :) Good hotel location, few steps from city center and most visited places. Free parking. The bed was a bit hard and the breakfast offer could be a bit better.

Very lovely hotel right in the city centre, close to everything there is to see in Jelgava. Advertised as air coniditioned but the air con was not working in both rooms. We travelled as a group and booked two rooms, air con was only working in fan mode in both rooms. This is unacceptable in 30C heat wave, we barely slept. No mention of this from staff or the hotel. We stayed at this hotel for a night while attending the sand sculptures festival. This was a great choice as the location was perfect for attending any event in the area. I had an issue with the shower in my original hotel room and hotel staff was very apologetic and resolved it very quick by moving me to a honeymoon suite which was very large and cosy. Outstanding service from reception to cleaning personnel, gym, sauna and location as you are right in the centre and all everything is in walking distance. Thank you for your hospitality! The hotel was really old. But place is good and fantastic.Internet connection was very very very bad. It always disconnected. Breakfast is very good. The room was very simple. Towels were changed everyday. It was good. Hotel is near the river. So the view is really good. Restaurant is good. Decoration is good.

A nice hotel in the centre of Jelgava. Good selection of food in the restaurant. Liked the restaurant interior with paintings used as hanging ceiling, unusual. Classic paintings, mostly Flemish and Dutch school. The Agricultural University is just across the bridge. Free parking on the street, there is also a secure paid parking near by.

This hotel has a large free parking lot. The staff comes across as disinterested, but otherwise still provides service. We had a room on the 2nd floor, and there is no elevator. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is clean. Breakfast consisted of a wide selection of breakfast items.

Rooms were good and there was a bowling alley in hotell. Also there was arcade games. Food was try and tasteless.

We loved staying here, remote and peaceful place to relax. The apartment has everything you need and we particularly enjoyed sauna and the opportunity of borrowing bikes (as we didn't have a car). Hosts were super friendly.. and there was a welcome cake &beers in the fridge!

Best place to stay near Riga. Even if you wanted live in the city best stay here. It's only 20 minutes at the car to the center of the city. The lake is right by the house, the best owners in the world. 7 days have passed as one. We will definitely return again.

Perfect hideaway in the middle of nature. This is ideal for 2 as well as for families with kids, lots of ways to spend holidays-sunbathing, playing games,biking, picking berries and mushrooms ! Lake and surrounding forest i enjoyed most of time! Hosts provide 5* service!

Nice little hostel in the outskirts of Jelgava. The room and the rest of the facilities were basic yet functional. Very clean and tidy. The helpful staff made me feel very welcome.

Normally, this would be one of the best hostels we have stayed. It is perfectly clean, new and the beds are very comfortable. But it is not a hostel for travellers. We were the only one, all the other 'guests' were workers in the area who temporarily live there. So be aware of that:)

Last summer I stayed at this hotel for a few nights to explore Riga and the surrounding area. very nice service. The gentleman who was happy to tell us the history of the country, gave us a lot of tips on what to see, where to park cheaply and where to eat. rooms ok. quiet area. We were delighted. Location is just excellent and very friendly staff. Rooms were spacious enough and really good heating system. On the other hand, there is no insulation between the rooms. Such a shame that we were able to hear next room's alarm clock to wake up or even their snoring! Couldn't have decent sleep.. take earplugs for the night. Bad for large parties as there is only space for them outdoors and the food was lackluster. The rooms were OK (fairly standard, nothing bad but nothing great either). Individual dinners were tasty but on the expensive side. Breakfast menu was great.

Amazing experience! Went for a work trip and had to stay night in Ozolnieki. Glad I staied in Agate! Room was nice and clean, cozy as well. Personal is nice and kind. Next day took a lunch also in Agate hotel restourant - it was delicious!!! Thank you for nice experience!

A standard double room feels constricted but if you opt for a 'comfort double room' the size is comparable to Standard double room in most other hotels. Sadly typical of this area the hotel lacks a gym, pool or games room. Otherwise in my opinion the best choice of hotel this side of Riga offering a great peaceful location, breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Its my first choice of hotel for Jelgava...
