Decent prices for a great location, very central very close to the train/bus station! Fast and easy self-check-in and the staff were very accommodating, allowing me to check in earlier when the room was ready when I contacted them in advance! The room is quite well equipped, having a mini fridge, kettle and some cups and tea, as well as plates and cutlery conveniently enough! Also comes with shampoo...

A nice place. Everything seemed and smelled clean. However, the mattress in my bed was a bit lumpy.

Weird hotel. Located in industrial suburbs of Sigulda, among half abandoned warehouses and car repair shops. Weird place for hotel. Room was quite big, but that is all. We did not have a minibar nor a fridge in the room. Although I was asked for a credit card number in case I will use a mini bar. No conditioner also (we did not need one in October, but just for your information, it was stated). Everything...

Nice clean rooms, You will find everything there that's needed for a pleasant stay. The variety of the food for dinner and breakfast could be wider. In general it was a good stay.

Overall more or less is ok for that price, but this is not a 4-star hotel for sure, more like a 3-star. Rooms are quite spacious, bathrooms are ok. An air conditioner was out of order during the hottest days (official reason - due to a storm). Breakfast - there was a food. Hotel is outdated, requires some update.

Good value for the money. Decent number of amenities provided. Nothing major to complain about, except the location. It's quite far away from the city center, and the surroundings are not nice at all (automobile repair shops etc). Wi-Fi is available, but you'd need to ask receptionist for a password explicitly. Breakfast was ok, except the coffee.

Great place. Staff is ultra nice. Place is quiet and room soundproofing is ok. Bathrooms and rooms themselves are good. Bed was very comfortable and did not make noise... Morning Spa, which was included in room cost for me was very nice addition - pool in which you can swim a little, sauna and massage shower and massage bath with bubbles. Great place.

Good facilities in a quiet place. The family rooms are large and well furnished with kitchen, large bath tub. Small TV. Public transport connections not great. Restaurant not operational when we went. Nearby mall, small restaurants. Town (Sigulda) has adventure park and cable car and castle.

Wonderful apartment near Riga in a beautiful landscape! There are a lot of things to highlight. First, reception and apartment staff were really supportive, helping with anything from a late check-in (we had our flight delayed and we arrived really late and nevertheless the check-in was perfect) to suggesting near beautiful places to visit and activities. The actual apartment was huge, full of amenities...

This is mostly about the restaurant, 4 stars because I couldn’t see the prices being depicted in the dishes most of which costed more than 15-20€. The food was ok but so is in many other places. I highly enjoyed our dinner and stay and would recommend this place.

Very nice, friendly, and helpful staff in the hotel and restaurant. The included breakfast was hearty, good, and filling. Meals in the restaurant are very good and well presented.

Let's start with a restaurant - it is amazing: the selection of dishes is very good, the taste is amazing, and the selection of the drinks was satisfying, personally I could recommend cha-cha. We enjoyed a two night stay at Hotel Sigulda. The hotel is lovely and uniquely combines a splendidly renovated old building with new construction. The breakfast was very satisfying. We also dined in the restaurant two nights and thought our dinners of venison and pasta with salmon were very tasty. The hotel was the perfect base to explore the nearby castles of the region from.

Nothing to complain about. Good location, clean rooms. Has a SPA with pool for adults. Not all rooms have AC and fridge, which may be a letdown for some.

A pecial place for me and my wife. Very cosy, romantic and beautiful hotel. As one of the oldest with rich herritage and history brings the best experience. Hotel is noce with limited menu, however all the dishes are superb.

We booked a room for 2 nights and really enjoyed the stay. The restaurant serves very good food. Breakfast is excellent. Lot of nice things to do in the environment.

Stayed for 4 nights. Rooms are very basic, lacking in room safe (can be requested from reception) coat hooks, for a country that has is share of cold/snowy weather you would think this quite high up on things you would need. It was very clean and well maintained with good breakfast.

Beautiful hotel. Awesome breakfast. Dinner is delicious. But the Hotel advertises with spa and sauna. Yet, they forget to mention that it costs something. The leaflet etc just says sauna and pool. No note in the foyer. You can just walk in and use it. And then suddenly they decide to tell you they charge €59 for it?! And the next day they say it's 15€?! A pool is normally included in the price... Unfriendly...

We had lunch at this aged and rather worn place that definitely has seen better days. The food was hearty and not bad at all. The views of the valley just beyond is staggeringly beautiful.

Good small hotel which is close to the nearby national park. Rooms are clean and the staff is nice. You will need a car to get around here as it is a bit remote.

Good quality rooms as well as the breakfast big portions and good taste

Beds and bedding were comfortable and the price was great. A mini fridge was a bonus. A few minor things that we didn't enjoy were wet bath mat upon arrival, broken shampoo dispenser and moldy caulking in the shower cabin. We could also hear our neighbors late into the evening and music beat downstairs at night.

Got gifted a stay here for our honeymoon, couldn't have asked for a better place. Location was great, room was massive and a huge terrace, hosts were lovely, perfect place to stay in Sigulda.

Lovely place, great location, beautiful decor, plenty of ways to relax, also with children.

A beautiful place in the middle of the forest, a decent hostess who takes care of her guest house, constantly improving it! A bit of a minus - houses located nearby, as a result of which the guests of the big house will always disturb the lovers of the romance of the small house!

Several guest houses with steam bath in each. We were in a two storey house with bedrooms on the second floor and living room and amenities on the first. We have also ordered dinner and catering services, very happy about those. A well-spent Saturday.

Nice place

Stayed in Grotini for 3 nights. The house is well-equiped and spacious. Very quiet area, yet close to Sigulda. Only thing that bothered me was the unpleasant smell of the water.

We switched to this hotel last minute as our previous hotel was very loud. This was a choice we were very happy with in the end. The rooms are simple but quite and comfortable and the staff was incredibly nice. We were very happy with this choice and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this town.

Rating only for the diner. The place is nice and pleasent to sit in, located in a quite butiful part of the town. The food is less than good. Dishes are too dry, not much flavor.

Very friendly staff. The hotel is very central and there's a parking lot nearby. As a customer you get 20% off at the restaurant next door. The rooms are very nice, but under the roof. It was quite warm, even at night.

The girl at the reception was very friendly and informative about the things you can do in town. Nice and clean place in the middle of a small park. Location is great. Close to train station and very close to some local places for dinner or drink.

Hotel was in great location. Restaurants and shops were within 1km radius. Garden was very beautiful and taken care of. Rooms and bathrooms were clean, beds comfortable and there were free wifi. It was so nice, so peaceful. They have a big, clean, green and well decorated garden with so many flowers. You can find a table to sit in the garden and enjoy the breeze. It was all the time quiet. They have a free parking place in the garden in case you need it. Breakfast wasn’t included when we booked but you can order extra but you have to do it one day in advance. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I asked many things but they were patient and very nice. Clean room. There's a big kitchen for everyone to use. They have a big wide yard with beautiful garden. Very quaint place, would come back for sure!!

Started off staying 2 days and ended up staying 4. Owner brought air conditioning unit up if it got too hot. Garden is beautiful and birds sing in the yard. Very peaceful and relaxing, and in central location

We stayed here for 6 days in August and really enjoyed the comfortable rooms (1 of them a suite), the beautiful garden to relax in and the breakfast. The owners are very friendly and helpful and really do their best to make you feel welcome. It's a 5 minute walk from the nearest restaurant and about 10 mins walk from the centre of town where there are some good restaurants. There is also free parking...

Very welcoming host. However, the place is quite old and felt a bit overpriced for 1 pers. Pros: Quiet area and parking in front of the house. Overall, good place for 1 night stay.

We stopped here to sleep for just a few hours in the afternoon. Galina warmly welcomed us. Her house is very spacious and comfortable. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay. Small private hotel. Several rooms, you can choose more or something from the budget options. Very close, a few hundred meters from Sigulda station, easily accessible on foot. Especially interesting for guests of Latvia. (They just drive diesel to Sigulda). Great place, great hosts. The atmosphere of the villa, while to the city center 10 minutes on foot. There is a necessary minimum of equipment and utensils to eat on their own if desired. Despite the country entourage, incredibly clean, unexpectedly good bed - slept gorgeous. Very quiet, peaceful view from the window. It was very warm, perhaps even hot, despite the cool weather. We were passing by for a short time. The place is beautifully cleaned. I don't even know which category to put the swimming pool or the pond near the sauna, it was with green colored water and you wouldn't want to rinse off after the sauna. If you are a large company and plan to actively relax all night, then this is not the place. place for grill.

Nice and quiet place around Sigulda. Rooms are simple. Shared bathroom.

Excellent location, beautiful spacious rooms and friendly hosts make you feel like family. Couldn't ask for a better guest house. Full kitchen utilities your disposal, clean and tidy. Large garden to walk around or simply sunbathe, generous outdoor play space for children. Near amenities, drive to the centre of town in under 10 minutes, ticks all the boxes, would visit again and recommend.

The owner are both very nice and polite. One is from Guernsey and speaks good English. You can play many games such as dart or board games. The log cabin ist is new and gives really good vibes, with all the wood you just feel so comfy, cozy like a second home.

Good value for money, rented a kayak and spent 4-5 hours on the river from Ligatne back to the Boat Rental in Sigulda. You are driven from Sigulda to the starting point by the rental service. My only (and biggest) criticism is that there is no one around to actually help you haul the heavy kayak the 50 meters or so from the (only) landing spot on the end of the beach, up a steep hill to the base camp...

Prices are not welcoming at all, they charge for person + caravan + car,so in the end it's more pricy than Sweden or Norway, but ,come on ,it's Latvia! Location is great, hospitality from only lady in reception so so....

I would like to thank Makars for recommending us to go on Gauja river by canoe . After 30k on foot from Cesis to Ligatne ,my knee couldnt take another 30 k to Sigulda . We thought of renting a canoe but i was unsure as I have never done it and i didnt know the river . Makars was very helpful and open to all our questions,explained us everything and turned out it wasnt such a big deal . First part of...

This is only about kayak rentals. They did their job. Took us with a boat to the campsite of our choice and we got back in roundabout 4.5h for the 25km trip. Water was fast, so we did not very much. We started 45min after we had to get there. Not that big problem. But a little bit nasty. The big thing was the price. 50€ for a few hours kayaking is way too much.

Great spa hotel with amazing park-like garden in pristine nature surroundings. Wonderful outdoor terrace for breakfast. It's a pity that the quality of the breakfast does not meet the same high standard. Hopefully the owners will realize soon how little it takes to upgrade the breakfast experience with fresh local high quality food products.

Had dinner in restaurant - everyone was happy, but no good for vegans. There is no offering for vegans.

Nice place in a beautiful quiet area, with a well maintained flower garden and walking trails. Hotel have small SPA area and small outdoor swimming pool with sunbeds. Great restaurant "Gadalaiki", however with limited variety of food for breakfast. Summing up great for 3 stars, and great choice to stay in Sigulda.

Very good food! Little bit to far outside of the town

Hotel is situated on the hillside with a beautiful view. It's simple but has all things needed - a comfy bed, good breakfast and great service! Sigulda is probably the most beautiful area in Latvia and hotel Santa is a part of it.

Solid place to stay in Sigulda. Worth the price, good food and everything you would expect, but nothing extra, no wow factor.

Very nice hotel. The view was spectacular from our side of the hotel. The breakfast was good, the room was clean and the staff was great. The only problem lies with the paper thin walls, we could hear our neighbor converse with his wife.

Very good hotel in a nice town. We stayed here for two nights to be close to (but not in) Riga. After two days we only visited places in Sigulda which has a lot to offer. Been to this hotel several times. Always feeling welcomed, it’s like being home away from home. Peaceful, relaxing. This year with an extension they’ve opened a restaurant, too. Great food, reasonable prices. Karina is the best hostess.

My friends and I stayed here for what was meant to be 1 week, however we decided to stay longer and Karīna was very accommodating. The food was exceptional and Karīna made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for everything.

Stayed in hotel for a month, loved the place! Was even hard to go away from this hotel. Everything was super clean, had daily room service, host was so nice and welcoming. Had everything I could ask for, had chance to wash my clothes and dry them as well. Nice breakfast.

Great stay! Had a little problem with bicycle storage, but they promised to have a storage room in the new building that's currently being built. Ladies at the reception are kind and helpful. Overall, great weekend.
