A great place to have a good rest and escape from the city. The owners have made sure that the client has everything he needs. A friendly place for children - playgrounds, hammocks and various entertainment options on the water. You can also catch some fish in the big Usma lake. We enjoyed a lot. As usual, you must bring your own food. Grill places are available right next to the lodge.

Beautiful and peaceful place, and wonderful host. The perfect place for a weekend getaways!

I spend few nights and the place is very nice. If you have the chance visit but be adviced that in the summer it might have mosquitoes. The view of the lake is very beautiful. The house where I slept was clean and had all what we needed.

Place is amazing no doubt. The manager i think showed us around. And he was kind. Loved to swimming. And spend time with family.

Room: mansarda room with bed for two people located under a roof, so second tersom could not stand up from the bed without risk of hitting the roof by his head. Wall between room and WC is made of glass and completely transparent, which is a very questionable choice, which isn't only ruin some privacy matters but also when someone is visiting WC at night and turn the light on in three - illuminates...

Hotel is pretty good. Rooms are clean and nice. Two things worth to mention: location is not what you expect for such place and rooms sound isolation is pretty bad.

In general very nice muiža, even tho it is surrounded by old hrisčovkas. Rooms are well decorated, but mansard room felt a bit claustrophobic. Completely transparent bathroom looks cool, be ready to feel uncomfortable when one person want to go to the toilet, but other is sitting on a couch right across the transparent wall.

Super hotel in a modern old fashioned way. Great family room, quiet and resting place. Breakfast is a bit short though

One of the best hotel stays I have had in a long time! The staff was absolutely wonderful, helpful, and very communicative. Accommodations were simple and had everything I needed for my stay. As I traveled by bike, the staff went above and beyond by allowing me to keep my bike inside and help me prepare for the next leg of my journey. I would give 10 stars if possible!

The room itself was ok, but it seems that all of the walls are made of paper and you can hear everyone through them

The hotel is nice and the breakfast was lovely. What bothered me was that the air conditioner was really loud and we couldn't turn it off, also the double bed had only one blanket and there weren't more blankets in the room. The location is perfect tho.

Ok place to stay on the budget as interior needs a bit to be updated. Breakfast is continental however pancakes were great.

Old world charm, good and bad. The room for was spacious and had that unique Kuldīga old/modern feel. Breakfast spread was great, with good coffee, a great selection of meats and cheeses, fresh eggs, breads and cereals. However facilities were substandard. There was only mildly lukewarm water in the shower, which is unacceptable for a purportedly 3star hotel.

Stayed two times. Everything is just great! They have parking space in the yard, for a bus there is gree public parking lot in some 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Rooms are clean, newly renovated. Staff is very helpful. Breakfast has quite a good selection and the pastries are so deliciuos! Definetly should have dinner there: food is so sophisticated, portions are big and prices good.

Nice place. Clean, spacious, great location, very good price. Nice staff. Good breakfast and dinner. The only thing that was not amazing was beds. Our room had two separate beds that provided somewhat mixed sleeping experience, not bad, just a bit weird.

Newly renovated rooms!! They were changing the roof of the building, so... its going to be even better. The staff is very polite!! There is a private parking for the visitors of the hotel. The breakfast was super! Great place to stay!

I can only rate the restaurant, as i didn't stay here at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and the food was fantastic! I had the fried chicken in a mango-chilli sauce, roasted potatoes and some salad. The chicken was delicious, the sauce incredible and the salad simply great. The potatoes are as you know it covered with a salty/spicy powder of spices. It's a lot of food for 8 Eur and it was delicious...

Not unfriendly, but a bit indifferent service. The location is great, looking out onto the street, in a quiet area. The single room I had, with a great view over the front door, was nice, but a bit overpriced for what it was. I don't know about the rooms in the newer section, behind the restaurant. There was a bad odor in the room, though I couldn't find the source. My biggest complaint was the service...

Great location- everything is a nearby, friendly staff, quiet room and a quite comfy bed. It really needs refreshing- it feels like the time has stood still since 1990 in there... It' s cheap though. WC ventilation was surprisingly loud. Breakfast choice was quite small, but tasted OK. Coffee was good.

The room was beautiful, and had travel cot as requested. As a cleaning business owner I inspected the room (I know I'm naughty 😁) It was very clean, only 2 minor things -the drawer had crumbs in and toilet brush holder contained some water. Would of been nice to have some coffee in room. But the breakfast is different story. There was no baked beans left when we arrived, and when asked none provided...

Rooms are basic and outdated but acceptable to stay for few nights. Buffet breakfast is ok. No restaurant in evening but there are many restaurants around to go to. Location is very good.

I really love the hotel, everything is awesome, but the breakfast is not as it used to be. I've found some small bones or something in the pancakes and a hair in the oatmeal they serve.

Good service. Some few complaints over minor things, such as a low quality toilet and shower. The included breakfast is decent, and has a variety of common and Latvian dishes. Cleaning is decent and the beds are properly made. The price is right, I'd recommend going here and may come back myself.

Very nice lady on reception, numbers very clean, newly renovated, we got nr 312 it's very nice,clean and modern, was very surprised for 3* hotel to be so nice. It's very good location close to all amenities... Definitely come back

We arrived in Ventspils later than planned. We called many hotels, but everywhere they kindly explained that there were no kitchens because we had not booked a place. There was only one available luxury room in Meldernam. Overnight 120,- eur. It is not cheap, but the room really corresponds to the price. Everything on site: fridge, microwave oven, even a washing machine. We did not see the staff in...

In essence, everything is great, there are some minuses (little furniture to put things, the lighting in the room is super economical, even the eyes hurt, there is a TV, but it only shows Latvian channels, it will be used 0, problem with laundry drying).

Hotel is clean, quiet and differently designed. The room and the beds were great and we all slept well. The hotel also has a Salsa club which is not operating as far as I could see (Aug 2016)

Fine for a one-night sleepover. One shared shower between 6-10 rooms. Kitchen available with small fridge, teapot, some utensils and dishes(what you may not find if someone else took them already) We booked a room for three and came to a room with two single beds. The extra bed wasn't prepared in advance. If you get a street view it will be noisy until 1-2 am, at least on a hot day when you can not...

It is a Monday night and there is little activity at the casino, yet the seagulls are full volume.

If you want to spend the night, just great. Quiet and peaceful. Prices are democratic. Breakfast is excellent. If I am on that side, it will definitely be choice no.1.

Simple, clean rooms, but with imagination. The room had a United States feel, created by the posters. Breakfast is rich. SPA, pool was not working but it is acceptable considering the price.
