Blue Beryl Guest House

Negatives first:
• Guests were left to struggle with their luggage as there was no porter assistance available, making the arrival experience burdensome.
• Upon arrival, visitors were dismayed to find no seating arrangement in the reception area, forcing them to stand uncomfortably while waiting.
• Disappointment struck travelers as they browsed through the souvenir basket, only to find a very limited collection that barely reflected the essence of the destination.
• The cleanliness of the crockery was severely lacking, with visible dirt and grime in every utensil.

Now the Positives:
1. The location of our hotel is absolutely perfect, nestled within a vibrant neighborhood with easy access to multiple restaurants and food joints.
2. Guests can enjoy the convenience of beach access just an arms length away from our accommodation, offering breathtaking views and serene relaxation.
3. From our cozy balcony, you'll be treated to a stunning view of the city skyline, creating a picturesque backdrop for your stay.
4. Offering budget-friendly options without compromising on stay, ensuring that guests can enjoy their vacation without breaking the bank.
5. With an array of dining choices nearby, including multiple restaurants and food joints, guests can indulge in delicious cuisine without venturing far from their accommodation.
6. Also you get a killer view and beach access with relaxing greenery, grass and trees all through the road.

Located right on a small beach with spectacular view of the sea and the waves crashing over the reef. Close to blue bay public beach. The breakfast is simple but filling. The service is good and they would take care of most of your requirement. The eating options in blue bay is limited and public transport is also not regular
Good place if you want to relax by the beachside

The staff is very kind and helpful. Especially appreciated was that we could move into a small room after checking out of our room, because our onward flight was very late. This gave us the freedom not to go to the airport at midday, when the flight was only at 22:40.

Snorkeling on the little reef just in front of the hotel is nice, the coral are in better shape than at Ile aux deux Coco.

Had a great time at the blue beryl! Rooms are relatively simple, but are clean and got all you need. From time to time it can be noisy due to the path of flights starting from SSR airport (but it is ok at night, last one is ca at 11 pm). The staff and the location are really what sets this guesthouse apart from others. Staff was super helpful, friendly and has a good talent for organizing. They always have the best for their guests in mind! Location is great for snorkeling with direct access to a small beach and a nice reef directly in front of the guesthouse. Lots of different fish around at the snorkel spot like we did not see anywhere else accessible directly from the beach. If you want to go to a bit deeper water for snorkeling, the team are helping to organize snorkeling trips very flexibly.

Just thought I would share what a wonderful experience we had with Jerome as last minute booking!

We had a very long layover (15hrs) while in transit from Perth to South Africa, and we were not able to get an actual booking until we arrived tonight while stuck in the airport.

We were able to message the guest house and we're able to get a booking and a taxi within minutes! We were welcomed by Jerome (I hope I spelt his name right) who was very sweet, helpful and professional! Jerome also hooked us up with coffee for the morning----Legend! He recommended a nearby spot for dinner and off we went to Blue Bamboo for dinner - Which was amazing!

He organized the taxi for us the next morning back to the airport. And left a sticky note on our door with the details of the driver! Wish we were here for a few more days! Jerome sold us on how great Blue Bay is. So we will definitely be coming back here for a longer visit!

Nice guesthouse, very helpful staff. They referred me to Ritesh (taxi driver) who was reasonable and professional. I used his services for 3 days. Highly reccomended when staying in Blue Bay, his number : +230 5706 2896.

Also I had to leave early morning around 7am and the owner (Kim) arranged a quick breakfast for me at night. They also let me use the transit room before my checkin which was a life savour! Couldn't enjoy the snorkelling here, but I'll be back for it!

We stayed at the Blue Beryl Guesthouse for 2 nights. The location is great, directly at the beach and perfekt for snorkeling. The room was basic, so far clean but old. The view from our room was perfect!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple, but the omlette really good :-)
We enjoyed our stay.

The staff went out of their way to fit us in and we just stayed one night. Great views of the thundering waves on the reef. Fab snorkelling just in front of the guest house as well as in Blue Bay around the corner. The room, en suite and small kitchen were comfortable- shower pressure great. Substantial buffet breakfast with an open and airy dining room with wonderful views again, and delightful birds who will share your croissant if you want to.

The staff is absolutely helpful and try to do their best! The rooms are clean and nice, the view breathtaking! You can get fins and snorkels for free, the best snorkelling spot on the island is 10 steps away on your beach :) They also have a rooftop terrace with a view on the bay or you can watch the stars at night!

Great room, views from hotel, the blue bay beach is super accessible. It's a wonderful place. Breakfast is ok. Staff is extremely good. Thanks to Jeremy.
