Nice, large and comfortable room. Very helpful friendly and attentive hotel staff. The location may a bit too far from town center, but situated very close to the Mekong river with spectacular scenery makes up for it.

We stayed in a cabin. The floor were reclaimed teak, carved panels below the handrails and attention to detail was nice. Very nice pool just outside the two story hotel which was very modern. Nice owners and very accommodating.

We stayed here for the second time about a week ago on our way from Thailand to Luang Prabang. I love the place! The owners are lovely people, the food is excellent ( make sure you order the meusli for breakfast). Beds are really comfortable. A little out of town but a nice walk along the Mekong to get there.

I have now stayed at the Siam Tara Resort 4 times. I have found it to be great for relaxation around the pool and gardens. I have lived in Thailand now for 33 years and need a great place from time to time and now have found it. John the owner told me that all of the wood in the Resort is recycled timber. Even the 4 poster beds in each room and every room has a Persian carpet at the end of the bed and these are for sale. I hope you have a great stay as I do

Great place to stay. The rooms are superb. The pool is one of the best for a resort. A walk along the Mekong river is a must.

The hotel is tucked away in quiet lane, lovely bungalows with all round verandahs, nice pool and at the moment is great value.

I have lived in Chiang Khong for most of the last year. I have stayed in all three of the obvious best of the river front hotels. There is nothing in this part of Thailand that I know of that is anything like this hotel. I guess that the thought that came to mind for me was that the owner does not need our money for his hotel to exist. I did meet the owner and we did not discuss money. These are my thoughts.The price is the price. There is a very wide range of accommodations from very nice basic to very luxurious and the prices are similar to the range of accommodation. All share the same very nice pool and there is a dining room. There has been a river walk in town for years that is being renewed and extended. That is how I walked to this hotel from the opposite side of town. The river walk is not close to completion and I had to walk on dirt for about half of the walk. That is not the way you would normally get there. The hotel is on a paved road and an easy ride from anywhere in town. I walked those paved roads back to the other side of town. This hotel is unique and needs to be experienced.

A lovely hotel - very clean, spacious rooms. We arrived after a long journey and we were made very welcome - dinner was really good - very tasty. There was also live music in the restaurant which was fun! Very comfortable bed. The owner gave us a lift to catch the bus to Chiang Rai the next morning. A really nice place to stay.

In a quiet part of Chiang Kiong. On 1020 heading north turn right after the gas station and then turn left in about 200m. If you follow Google map will keep directing straight and you may have to turn via a narrow alley. Have a pool, no fridge in the room. They do provide breakfast and meal for a fee. Friendly dogs. They also have motorcycle for rentals.
