Diamond Beach Resort

The waterfront location, pool, and traditional bungalows are all very beautiful, but be prepared for a sore bum! We stayed in a pool view bungalow. All the seats were wooden: the sun lounges, the balcony seating, the indoor seating... All flat wooden seats and not a cushion in site. Even the bed was not comfortable to sit on due to the shape of the headrest.

I wanted to love this place, but sadly by the end of our 6 day stay, I was so sore and stiff. Definitely not the relaxing holiday escape I had imagined.

Note: on the day we checked out, we saw them putting cushions on the sun lounges, so people staying in high season will get some comfort.

Clean room, even though the bathroom had a bad smell... the well-maintained gardens and the pool clean, there is only breakfast service, the staff is very friendly.

This resort is located next to two piers (smaller one which takes you to Railay beach) and in a very quiet area away from the busy street of Ao Nang.

If you need to rent a motorbike, you can arrange for it at the front desk. They will bring you the bike right there and then! Super fast and great service! ❤️
There are dogs that walk around the resort but they don't come up to you. You will find a dog sleeping on your front porch (bungalow only) in the morning. However, they will run away as soon as you open your door.
The reason I didn't give this resort a full 5 stars is because if you stay in the bungalows, you will hear your neighbours talking outside and the sounds of the boat motors.

Beautiful beach side huts with amazing views, a good place to walk out into the sea for a great view of the cliffs at low tide, staff really friendly as you would expect in Thailand

The receptionist is very lovely friendly and helpful, the Bungalow is beautiful, the only downside of this place was the constant boat noise from early morning to late night but it isn't the hotel fault still had a great stay here.

Quite secluded away from Ao Nang however it’s cheap to use Grab or a taxi to get to town. Not too many dining options within walking distance during the day. Bungalows clean, quiet & great A/C. Good quality wi-fi. Grounds & pool well maintained. Beach/Bay Area isn’t really appropriate or appealing for swimming but it’s beautiful to look at.

Pros:
- Relaxing atmosphere
- Many gazebos to sit and enjoy the breeze by the water
- Quiet environment
- Really hospitable and helpful staff at the reception
- Refill coffee and two small bottles of water everyday
- very easy motorbike rent. They also have good bikes.

Cons:
There aren’t anything major, really; just small things that can make the room perfect:
- no handsoap
- no soap-holder in the bathroom
- no toilet paper holder in the bathroom
- aircon was pretty weak

Diamond beach resort is located in AoMan Mao in close proximity to the boat jetties. Approx 5kms from AoNang. Grab taxi into town is approx 120 bhat. Nearby are 3 supermarkets and a few restaurants (To Burger restaurant very good and cheap - No alcohol).
Accommodation is either hotel rooms or beach bungalow. Bungalows are on the sea front with terrace. Nice pool with lounges. The hotel does a good rate when booking direct. The only downside to this resort is the constant noise from the long tail boats, which constantly run nearly 24/7. Ear plugs are advised for a good sleep.

Stayed there for a few days in a wooden cottage. It was a cute, quiet and chill place with its own small private beach. The water there was coming and going but there was a pool nearby so you still could swim if needed.

The receptionist was helpful and positive. I also tried pineapple pancakes with tea for breakfast there once. It costed around 100 baht.

The only thing that could be improved is the bathroom situation in houses I think. Having a shower head basically over your toilet doesn't seem that nice nor hygienic to me.

Was a nice place just outside of the main ao nang area. Close to the pier that can take you to railey beach and the main beach.
Pool is great for lazing and chilling. Exceptional service from arrival, I arrived early and they let me use the pool until room was ready.
