Chalala Samui Resort

This is a fabulous little hotel.

It has just 20 rooms. It's very recently been refurbished to a very high standard, which, along with the fabulous staff, means it's a brilliant place to stay. The 4 and 6 person rooms are great for families, nice and spacious with amazingly comfortable beds. Fabulous pool too - it's been difficult to drag the kids away.

The restaurant is lovely too, even if you're not staying. I'm surprised it's not busier. The food and service is great. And you get a good view of the fire show at the bar next door.

We loved it so much that we left another hotel so we could return for the last 3 nights of our holiday.

It's an absolutely wonderful hotel, our villa was very spacious, the beach was fantastic, and the location is unbeatable. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and exceptionally accommodating. We felt very comfortable and would return anytime.

At the quieter end of Chaweng beach which makes it a perfectly chilled vibe. Great service from all staff, check in was a breeze and lots of helpful info, fab breakfast each morning overlooking the beach. Restaurant and bar next door has great food and drinks with a fire show each night.
For a family of 4 with 2 teenage daughters it was the best relaxed spot after Bangkok and felt completely safe.

Really lovely place, freshly renovated and just relaunched. The villas are tastefully decorated, light and airy. The hotel has a very peaceful feel about it, calm and relaxing. Quieter end of the beach but plenty of amenities locally and just a ten minute stroll to the busiest spots in town. Highly recommend a stay here.

It was just generally a bit dead - we barely ever saw anyone else. The restaurant was average - good food for a average price- we were always the only people there. No music which made the atomsphere a bit dull.

For what I paid for my room I can't ask for anything more. The staff were all friendly and nice and the place in general was clean. Staff come in every day to clean your room but if your a late sleeper due to a late night they even cleaned my room in the afternoon so there doesn't seem to be a set time to vacate your room. A tip as well, to be helpful for the cleaners if your in your room and your curtains are drawn and you don't want to be disturbed just leave your shoes/sandals on the welcome matt (inside). As the doors are large glass doors the cleaners can see you're still in there so they won't disturb you.

Your rooms are great for privacy and far better than a standard hotel room (in my opinion). There's no security or reception to walk through so you can literally access the place from the front on the main road or from the bottom from the beach.

When I was in my room the A/C worked perfectly, cold enough to shiver or even warm enough to sit comfortably in what ever clothes you chose to wear. I didn't actually spend alot of time in my room as I was always out but when I slept in my room I never heard any passing cars from the main road or anything that disturbed me. The beds are very firm so if you like a soft bed then you may want to ask if they have rooms with a soft mattress. I stayed in C03 but luckily I actually like a firm bed so I had no issues with my sleep.

The reception can get anything you ask from taxis, excursions to extra towels and they're always willing to help. There's laundries literally next door so I just dropped my laundry off and picked it up the next day which at the time of this writing was 50thb per Kg.

The food at our hotel was very nice, I'd of happily ate there every day but as it's a holiday I went out to alot of different restaurants. Apparently I could of gotten food delivered to my room but I never tried that, I just ate my food down at the beach where their tables and chairs are.

They've got their own massage ladies by the pool over looking the beach and the ones I tried were very experienced and did a great job.

Overall I was very satisfied and would stay there again 🙂

Big rooms, good bed, nice green garden passage to swimming pool and beach. Restaurant right there . Very clean, change towels every day. Very nice helpful staff, at the office ,restaurant, and the house keeping. We stayed only a week but would like to stay longer if we could .
