First Bungalow Beach Resort - SHA Plus

Liked the location and the hotel. But our rooms were in another building and they were average. But to be honest, it was value for money. Would book a next time but then probably in the pool or beach villas.

Understand that this is a local Thai establishment so I am not comparing it to a Marriott/Hyatt.
Rooms are functional and have all the amenities like SmartTV, hot water kettle, coffee/tea, 2 water bottles per day, safe, AC unit. Bedding is super comfortable.

We had a front beach Bungalow with a magnificent view of the beach/sea. There is a small beach shack that serves food and drinks.

We stayed here for 16 nights in one of the beach Bungalows and it was a perfect experience. The bed and linen are comfortable and soft. The shower is amazing with excellent pressure and stable temperature. Food at the breakfast buffet was adequate and they have a chef for the egg station and local Thai food. Plenty of choice and excellent quality.
Food, drinks and room service was great and cheap.
The private beach is one of the best on the island. Not a single rock, coral or algae.... Crystal clear and warm water 24 hours everyday.
The outdoor shower was a treat and our patio had an unobstructed view of the beach.
The managers and cleaning staff were friendly and great you with a smile every time. Other staff members were always head down watching their phone and would not even look up to acknowledge you.
Overall, we recommend this property.

Food: Breakfast is okay—nothing particularly exciting, but it’s free, so can’t really complain. Lunch, however, was genuinely lovely and much better than expected.

Bed: Hands down the best bed I’ve slept in during my three months of travelling. Super comfortable and made a real difference to my rest.

Air Con: Perfect. No issues at all—quiet, efficient, and kept the room cool without a fuss.

Bathroom: The bathroom was totally fine. Shower pressure wasn’t amazing, but it did the job well enough.

Noise: No noise at all in the standalone cabin, which I’d definitely recommend upgrading to—being right on the beach made it feel really peaceful and private.

WiFi: Not great. Don’t rely on it for anything important—it’s hit or miss.

Staff: Absolutely lovely people. Friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Really added to the experience.

Overall Room Quality: Amazing. No issues whatsoever. The room was spacious, clean, and the balcony was such a nice bonus for sitting out in the mornings and evenings.

Location: There are a few restaurants within walking distance, but for more variety you’ll need to grab a taxi (around 200 baht). There’s also a fantastic massage place just outside the hotel.

Price vs. Quality: 100% worth it for the cabin-style room. Great value for what you get

The standard room is suitable for the price offered, but it is located outside the main hotel area (possibly shared services with other operators, in my opinion). Access to the beach is quite far as you need to use the designated path provided by the hotel. Pool access hours are limited, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (Thai time), which could be extended for greater convenience.

The receptionist provides excellent service, offering water to guests and assisting with any needs. The cleaning service is also commendable—efficient and helpful.

For dining, there are several halal restaurants nearby, such as Faria and Aisah, about a 13–15-minute walk or a 3–4-minute ride by motorbike, with reasonable prices. The area also features a 7-Eleven, a mini-mart, a massage center, and other shops. Additionally, Chaweng Night Market is just a 7-minute motorbike ride away.

Overall, I highly recommend this place(based on the room we rented) for singles or couples (still lots of choices to be made).

Just the perfect family spot!!❤️💯 Nice small houses with enough space inside, good cleaning service and very lovely staff. The beach and sea is perfect. Sea is clean and refreshing temperature, there is lovely playground on the beach and enough shadow. Two swings and slide are also beside the pool which was perfect for our little son.

We had breakfast which is also nice, mostly the same but 2 main dishes and dessert was changing every morning🙂 There are few great restaurants about 10min walk, the first two are Noi Restaurant and Thai Express Restaurant, both good in tastes portions and prices.☺️ You can drive to night market for 150-200Baht.

Yes, the beds are hard as mentioned in comments but we slept good🤷‍♀️ Have to say the pillows are very good☺️
