What really disappointed me, though, was the service. Compared to what I’m used to in Thailand, it was way below average. For example, at the resort next door there were plenty of umbrellas set up on the beach. Here, there was supposedly one staff member in charge of that, but they were rarely around. So unless you’re lucky, you end up sitting under the blazing sun with no shade for hours.
Also, the property is pretty poorly lit at night, which made walking around after dark a bit uncomfortable. That said, if you’re someone who doesn’t mind a lack of beach umbrellas and can live with a place that’s showing its age a bit, then this resort still offers decent value for the money.
