MELIA PHUKET MAI KHAO - SHA Plus

Nice rooms, very clean. Lovely staff throughout (apart from a few reception staff and the MANAGER!)
Food very good. It did feel a little limited after a few days, however, when mentioned to staff they did put some very good specials on the menu, which was much appreciated.
Private swimming pools are NOT “swimming’ pools, they are very small splash pools! Very misleading advertising from both Melia and Luxury Escapes.
Holidays sold by Luxury Escapes as ALL INCLUSIVE was not all inclusive and the very poorly trained manager informed us it was not an all inclusive resort!
The Melia is not a place I would recommend families with children to visit, as on a number of days there were groups of young women that behaved like they were on a photo shoot for Only Fans/Men only web sites!
There are two or three hotel/resorts close by which have cheap food, drinks and fantastic swimming pools, which are far more suited for a family holiday.
The area is also very remote and I would only recommend for overnight stay before a flight, as it is only approximately 20 minutes away from the airport.

Entire service is not on the level of 5 star hotels. There is a poor room make up service. They never fill all room stuff every time. The bed covers were dirty.
In the restaurant, many flies were there, I asked to remove dead flies on the table, and the staff was laughing.
When the checkout, they even did not know what I spent in the mini bar during my stay, then they had spent my time unnecessarily.
In addition, there is no apologies at all.

Otherwise, there was the teacher in the kids room last Sunday. I don’t know her name but she was great. I want to give 0 star for this hotel, but this one star is for her.

The dining in the room was great.
