The rooms are kinda old but spacious. They have a very cool gym that makes up for the renovations that would be necessary.

Stayed for 1 night on a bike trip to Phayao and chose this hotel as other hotels on the waterfront were sold out. The hotel was fine for 1 night but certain electrical outlets didn’t work, the water in the shower wasn’t super hot all the time (or after 5-10 mins became cold), and the rooms are a little dated. It was under THB 1000 so I think you can find better value elsewhere.

Excellent staff, adequate gym and well maintained rooms. We had a slight mishaps with staff at first but they then made up and helped accommodated our request. For that, it made our experience at Gateway exceptional. For a hotel gym it is decent (4.5/5) and I would consider booking with them again just to access this facility. Although an older hotel, they have kept up and maintained adequately...

The room is a little old but it is spacious. I slept well on the bed but my husband complained it is a little hard. The breakfast spread is decent.

We had a clean and comfortable room with a beautiful view of Phayao lake. We also had the chance to swim in the pool although the water was so cold :) Breakfast here was better for this price range.

The rooms were clean the bathroom had nice warm water, pillow was good. Breakfast was tasty. On the whole it was a good stay.

Clean, fairly modern and good location. No lift, so if you have mobility needs make sure you ask for a room on the ground floor. The breakfast was average. They have parking facilities. Would stay here again.

Amazing value for money, very comfortable stay I stayed here before two years ago, and it is heartening to see that the owners have maintained this modern hotel in good shape. While it is truly in the budget category (we paid less than 900 Baht each for our rooms including breakfast), the product quality punches well above its weight. This hotel is mostly very good. -The owner helped me find a motorbike rental and gave me a lift into town m -The breakfast was great- served at the little cafe at the front of the building -The building is modern and very clean m It would be great if they could add a few more things to the rooms (bedside tables) and some softer lighting. But overall only small issues.

Hotel is about 15 walk to the lake, or 5 minutes to the bus terminal. Delicious cafe breakfast with plenty of a la carte option including Western & Thai fusion dishes.

Nice clean, comfortable room which was perfect for a stop over travelling from Chiang Rai. Good value for money. There was hairdryer which you don't normally find at this price.

Very nice hotel. I stayed there few times! It’s little old but it’s very clean and well maintained. It’s very close to the bus station and all the markets. Very kind and welcoming staff. There is bicycle that you can use to go around the town. There is also free coffee in the morning. The room is very spacious and very clean. For that price, it’s a great deal. Highly recommended!

Well, Green Hill is a bit of a hidden gem in Phayao?! We lived in Phayao for 7 years and haven't been back for the best part of 4 years due to Covid. The hotel is good with the swimming pool, but the location is not good, and because of construction from the other building, now the air is not clear nearby and the view of the lake is really bad now. Breakfast is not really qualified with its price. You deserve better place with this price.

Fashionable and very cool! Euro and Thai new style. I enjoyed my leisurely slow life, and the master's coffee brewed in an original cup is super delicious! I definitely want to visit again.

Great place to stay. Only stayed one night but really enjoyed the stay here. The owners were very friendly and I was sad to leave. Hope I can return here again one day. The room was spotless and the breakfast delicious.

The guesthouse is managed and very well looked after by a lovely couple who can provide all kind of information about the area. He even drew us a map for the next temples to visit on our way to Lampang. We also had a delicious dinner and breakfast. It's near the highway No.1, so you will hear the passing traffic. This wasn't a problem for us but we think it's worth mentioning. Definitively recommend...

Clean and you have to take your shoes off before you step into their lobby. Facilities was okay. Warm water, cool air-con,fridge, tv, wifi are available. People didnt talk too much.

A place to relax in the city of Phayao, shady, friendly like a family with a clean house style. Folk style combined with modernity To relax in Phayao with cheap, clean and unique rooms. Shoes must be placed on the bottom for a clean, unique look that fits perfectly.

The place is just great, very close to everything. Phayao is small anyways. So comfortable room with plenty of space. Breakfast is also good.

Nice hotel, definitely worths the price. Rooms are nothing special, bit they are quite cheap and super clean. Beds are comfortable. Can't say anything about WiFi because I didn't use it. Also, a free breakfast was included into my reservation, and the breakfast quality was ok: rice, fried eggs, veggies, various beverages, something like meatballs in sauce.

I was not very eager to stop in Phayao on our Thailand trip but the town proved me wrong. Very picturesque lake and sunset is amazing. Hotel was neat and good value for money. It is not lake side but quite near to the lake.

Loved this place...its a homestay..only reason I can think to ding this place is it is somewhat a distance ... like 10 minutes from town...the owner will happily give you a tour of his home which has been modified and looks like a really cool museum..the homestay is centrally located to major temples.. national parks..mountains for those who want to ride bikes in the area ..I will stay here again.

Picked the wrong day.new years eve.loud.however I loved the decor and the owners treated all like family.

a very very open minded owner, creative and every idea is welcome! a very good Spot also with a lot of green around. Still a lot old, but now they renew everything. We are happy we found this Spot for our first Test Hive and "Bee 🐝 Camper 2 go" Phayao. You can rent Solar powered Camper Trikes and meet People... or just Chill in the hive behind the Hotel!!

Walking distance to Gwan Pha Yao and downtown. Local restuarants for breakfast are nearby. Price is very reasonable. Rooms are very clean.
