Hotels in Douz

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a trip into Sahara itself. Hotel looks great, spacious with nice areas to relax and with a great pool. Food option are basic but paletable, rooms are pretty basic. No mod-cons here but i've paid more to stay in worss. Staff were polite, helpful, and friendly.

Everything was amazing, including breakfast and dinner which was great for the price!

We stayed overnight as part of a 2 day safari from Monastir. Check in was efficient and quick. Room was comfy and had what we needed. Evening meal was very tasty with lots of choice. Breakfast was standard but no issues. Staff all seemed friendly. Didn't try the pool as we didn't have time and it would have been too cold to get in anyway because of the time of year. The only reason I have given 4 stars...

A comfortable bed and slept well The staff were friendly. Buffet food was disappointing for what should be 4 star. Not a huge variety, pizza undercooked and no real options for vegetarian diets. We left early with our tour, but breakfast had hardly any options, dry pastries and overly sugary cereals.

Hotel at the Sahara desert border, just few meters away there is desert. So localization is perfect. We were there for one night. The room was comfortable. The dinner was tasty. The pool was not so big, but we could use it after sunset, there were ligths on so we could use it even all night long.

I enjoyed a lot staying at this small and cosy hotel in the city center of Douz. It has a big courtyard and rooms are displayed arount it. Some rooms have private bathroom and aircon, some rooms have a shared bathroom and no aircondition. Breakfast is pretty basic but ok. Internet works well in the rooms. I also booked with them a desert trip and stayed one night in the desert near Douz - I had a shock...

Hotel 20 Mars was great if you imagine it as a youth hostel. The wifi was excellent, and it's location was ideal - on the edge of the souk with several sandwich shops within close walking distance, as well as a Carrefour and Aziza. The owners were kind and helpful, letting us store some food items in the kitchen fridge, and dealing with our lack of Arabic and French. The AC was possibly the best feature...

One of the best Hotel I ever stayed in

I love Douz! I stayed in Hotel 20 Mars a few years back. My memories are of doing Tai Chi on the roof and in a square when I thought everyone was at evening prayers and having a friendly discussion with the manager & not so friendly visitor about reading the Koran in your own language (if you don't speak Arabic). Most of all I remember, being alone, going to bed early and a folk music party starting...

I hope this place opens back up. The nightly entertainment was mesmerizing and experiencing the nearby International Festival of the Sahara was fantastic -wonderful lasting memories.

Small but clean single room, 13 dinar per night. Clean public shower and toilet. Breakfast included. Wifi strong.

Charming looks with that Arab post-classic design. It has the looks of what might have been a great hotel around 1970’s to the late 90’s, But it’s dated and things hardly work… you can clearly see the lack of investment on newer facilities. The cleanliness it’s ok but… I don’t think we can say “it’s Tunisia”… when you have 4* and it’s an international rate, if you wanna do the talk you must walk the...

It's in the desert, so it's nice to have a place to rest. The facilities are relatively old, but they are actually very good in the local area. The air conditioning, hot water and toilets all work normally, and there is also wifi. The breakfast is filling and the swimming pool is good for swimming. It is very convenient to set off to visit the Sahara Desert and is recommended to those who come here

Avoid hotels that cannot be cancelled. Do not make reservations unless necessary. Otherwise, you will lose money without negotiation. Hotel business in Tunisia is very slow now. You can find accommodation in minutes.

Breakfast starts at 5am, good for people who wake up early. But there had no Wifi in the room. And also no plugs near the bed.

Nice hotel, nice rooms, pool and staff!

They whole camp was welcoming. They treated us like family. The home made break baked in sand was the best bread I had in my life. The surrounding desert is magical. Everyone should sleep at least once in their life under those stars. The view was astonishing as if I saw the sky for the first time. We hope to return soon.

It’s a very nice location, at the edge of the dessert. Owners are very nice and relaxed guys. The cabins are basic, but with all the luxury you’ll need. They provide a nice dinner if you want, and show you how to bake your bread in the sand. We did the sunset horse riding tour, and we loved it. Other options (we didn’t try them, so I can’t tell you) are camel tours and quads.

Superb place! My kids and I loved having our feet in the sand! The family that welcomed us is very nice, attentive. A total disappointment! The necessary comfort without fuss, breakfast at the top with homemade bread. Truly an unforgettable place!

The owner Farid Is very carefull, the location is well kept and the breakfast was amazing. I loved the garden and wifi Is working well. The rooms are between date palms and desert Sand. I travelled wit motorbike and I could park in front of my room Door. I recommand Farid's Place in Douz.
