I'll give it 5* but with a minus. The hotel is good, bought by the German company TUI. Renovated in 2019. The cuisine is great, the staff is excellent, the management is disgusting, that's why it's a minus.

Very good hotel. Not many people, which is especially nice, no drunken "Tagil", few children. The food is super, never had soy cutlets, mostly meat, chicken, turkey. Everything is tasty, appetizing. Good cleaning, daily. Everyone smiles pleasantly, says hello. In general, Tunisians are friendly people. Of course, we were not very lucky with the sea - it was stormy for several days, seaweed washed up, several jellyfish. By the way, it is better not to even touch them, burns remain, itching.

Super hotel. Delicious, varied food. Friendly staff. Private beach. Well-groomed territory. Clean, fairly spacious rooms. Towels are changed daily.

Thank you for an amazing stay! From the very first minute we felt the care from the staff that we were welcome here, the staff was always smiling polite and lovely. Special thanks to the reception manager!!!!
I celebrated my birthday here and it turned out fabulous. Thank you for your work!♥️

Lovely rooms and location 🥰

I also want to note that you should not be afraid of people outside the hotel, we found a wonderful person near the beach with whom we rode horses and a hydro scooter, Mohsen Cheval (check him on Google Maps) 🐴

Have to give 5 stars, there is a lot of improvements needed here but overall it is a nice place, good food, great location, great servers, reception sucks that’s true but the managers and guest desk is a prime, if not for other plans will definitely come back ))

I stay there in 2019 and it was amazing. Clean and food was delicious. Staff was helpful, nice and they make us feel very welcome. It was one of the best place that I have ever been.

From an out of country / off continent tourist:

Old and in serious need of maintenance and repairs. Lots of cracked tiles, chipped paint, rust, etc. Half of the outlets don't work and half of the light switches don't do anything observable.

Checking in took 45 minutes and the rooms that were paid for ahead of time were not available. Reservation system does not work electronically so you have to show them your receipts to be acknowledged as to even having a reservation and show them again and again when explaining what you already paid for.

They give a very sweet syrupy welcoming beverage, our friend that did the work to make the bookings wasn't given one because they assumed he was just our guide for having darker skin.

Most of the restaurants and bars aren't operating. The one place to grab a drink at night is the 65+ discotheque. No table service and they didn't get a single drink right all weekend. When you're done you have to re-explain both what you ordered and what you received to get any idea of how much money they want to charge you.

You only get one room card and it needs to be in the room for the electricity to work. This means if you want to grab a drink while you're wife is in the bathroom she gets the lights shut off. It also means that you can't have air conditioning running so when you get in for the night it is over 30C and takes until 4 in the morning to even get down to 25C.

Pool is filled but closed. Security loudly and enthusiastically enforces that even if your wife just sticks her feet in to feel the temperature.

They stick a wrist band on you to identify what level of service you get... And to tell everyone in town you're someone staying at the expensive hotel when you go out.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and very pleasant although a bit small. The buffet had many options but we did not find the quality of food great. It seems there have been some changes to the hotel - not all the photos seem to be accurate. Definitely no longer adult only. The pool does not look the same as many of the photos and was actually quite small. The beach also did not appear as in the photos - if you are mainly interested in beach I would recommend a different place. This did not feel like a 5star hotel but for the price it was fine, especially if you plan to stay for a longer time the price point can be attractive.

I would like to thank the hotel for incredible attitude and atmosphere! I am an experienced traveller but Ulysse Djerba Thalasso & Spa is the best one in Djerba.

My sincere thanks go to the highly professional team of the hotel and especially to the manager of reception, who received us on our first day, 2nd October, and turned out to be probably the best staff member I have ever met in a hotel. Room was brilliant. He made us an upgrade free of charge, and we had an amazing room with fantastic private swimming pool. He was always ready to help and has a gift for making us feel special, always! Thank you so much for your kindness and courtesy!

I have been there with my husband and mother for my birthday, and the hotel prepared a really thoughtful surprise for me: a delicious and big cake after a gorgeous dinner at the restaurant a la carte. I wasn't expecting it, and it really made my night. The cake was sooooooo good, that almost forgot I am getting old! 🙈

The rooms are beautifully decorated, the view is priceless. The hotel is spotless, the bed is super comfortable, the bathroom, the towels, all is perfect! Food is beyond delicious and always a great choice to choose from, specially the breakfast. We received a lot of surprises, tasty cakes, fruits, cocktails and typical Tunisian dishes.

Highly recommended for everyone who wants great rest and service to stay here. I can tell they put a lot of effort into ensuring your comfort and happiness.

A hotel for those who need a quiet rest. Very cool staff, they help with everything without problems. The beach is not big but there are almost no people at all. There are 3 pools, one common outdoor, another common indoor and we had one when leaving the room in place of the balcony room 120. Close to the airport 20 minutes approximately, if we talk about food then few people, not crowded and there is something to eat, apparently due to the organization of the hotel. Special thanks to Khled Souli, he accompanied us everywhere, and when he found out that my wife and I were having an anniversary, he himself asked at the reception to give us a gift in the room. They brought us a lot of fruits and sweets. I do not regret for a minute that I came here. Thank you for the rest
