From my experience, Alican Pension in Cirali is unreliable, as you can never be certain if you'll end up with a terrible, smelly room upon arrival.
These deluxe(!!) rooms are part of a large, old wooden building, with 6-8 rooms in total. You can easily hear everything—people walking, snoring, sneezing, or even worse from toilets. The room had a dusty smell, likely due to the carpet flooring. And if you want a fridge, be prepared for the noise, which will make sleeping impossible. When we raised these issues with the staff, the staff shamelessly laughed it off as if they were making fun of us. This seems to be their standard practice. Terrible business.
I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this pension to anyone.

It seems that blaming customers is a core practice at Alican Pension. In their response, Alican Pension insinuates that we opted for a cheap stay, and therefore, we deserve this terrible experience.

This stay was extremely disappointing and completely misrepresented in the listing. The water in the kitchen and bathroom sink was ice cold and never got warm. The shower had an instant heater that worked erratically — the water constantly switched between freezing cold and burning hot, making it nearly impossible to shower.

There was no TV, even though it was clearly listed in the amenities. The bed linen was terrible — rough, full of pilling, and very uncomfortable to sleep on. The apartment looked nothing like the photos. In reality, everything was old and dirty: stained curtains, filthy carpets, a greasy stovetop, and dirty dishes.

Most of the power outlets on the second floor didn’t work, so we couldn’t charge our phones. The bathroom door was so cheaply made that I got a splinter in my finger. We booked for three people but were only given two blankets. No extra bedding was provided, and we froze at night.

Overall, the place was in poor condition, clearly neglected, and not fit for guests. This stay ruined our vacation. I do not recommend this property to anyone unless serious improvements are made.

We felt deceived by the advertised photos and expected the amenities listed: a TV (where is it?), tile flooring, soundproofing (seriously?), a garden view, hypoallergenic features (hahaha) and a drying rack. The deluxe rooms fell far short of these expectations and were a stark contrast to the misleading images. The attached evidence speaks for itself—you can judge the quality, or lack thereof, of these rooms. There was no TV, and consequently, no satellite channels. The so-called garden view was nothing more than a white wall. The terrace had two plastic chairs, but it was more like a doorsill than a proper terrace. I didn't measure the room to see if it was the claimed 25m², definitely smaller.

On the bright side, breakfast was okay—nothing special, just mediocre.

Unfortunately, we arrived late in the day and couldn't make a last-minute cancellation or look for alternative accommodations.
I have stayed in Cirali many times before and know there are plenty of other places that meet expectations.
I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this pension to anyone.

Accusation 1:
Their first response: "It may help you more if you look at where you made the reservation and let us know exactly what you want and in the photos."/"Rezervasyonu yaparken nereye yaptığınıza bakarsanız fotograflarda ve ne istediğinizi tam olarak bildirirseniz size daha çok yardımcı olabilir.ucuz odayı seçmişsiniz."

They are accusing us of lying about booking and staying in the wrong room. Thankfully, we booked through a reputable international company, and we reserved two "Deluxe Family Rooms," as proven by the attached photo. Are you suggesting we did not stay in a Deluxe Family Room?

During our face-to-face conversation, Alican Pension staff mentioned they would love to help when we confronted them. However, they said that other guests who booked for longer periods had the right to stay in the "Deluxe Family Rooms". Is Alican Pension double-booking 'Deluxe Family' rooms? I distinctly remember the staff asking for my approval for this absurd and unreasonable comment.

Accusation 2: "Öncelikle odayı temiz kullanmayı ve bırakmayı öğrenmelisiniz ki bizim hatalarımız var ise düzeltilebilir." "tabi odayı kullanımınızda önemli."
I find these comments laughable and pathetic. Please, enlighten us more how we should tidy up and behave in the grand Alican pension. I'm quite anxious now — how can we possibly meet your expectations? What exactly does Alican Pension expect us to do after our stay? Should we vacuum the room, renovate it, or perhaps even buy a TV?

In several of your comments, Alican Pension insinuates that we opted for a cheap stay, and therefore, we deserve this terrible experience. If you had been honest and transparent with your descriptions and photos, I wouldn't have any complaints.

We have submitted an official complaint to the booking company regarding our reservation/experience of two "Deluxe Family Rooms" at Alican Pension.

Terrible experience! We had booked a room with two friends of mine via booking.com and when we arrived the owner found a lame excuse that something was wrong in the system and he asked for 100 euros more to give us the room!!! We were shocked and we asked to cancel the room and we left. Unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour. Save yourself the trouble and look for something else.
