Reviews
- No sleep whatsoever: The air conditioning never worked, the walls were paper thin with constant noise from the next room, and the entire space reeked of cigar smoke.
- Ignored complaints: We reported these issues to reception at least three times. Each time, the response was a robotic “we’ll submit a request” — with no follow-up, no sense of urgency, and no solution offered.
- Unprofessional management: Beyond the lack of action, the overall attitude from staff and management was dismissive and tactless. There was no empathy, no apology, and no attempt to make things right.
What should have been a joyful and restful time before one of the most important days of our lives turned into an exhausting and stressful ordeal. We left more tired than when we arrived.
Hotels can have maintenance issues anywhere — what makes or breaks the experience is how management handles it. In this case, the manager showed complete disregard for us and all of our guests.
👉 Eskisehir itself is wonderful, and I do recommend visiting — but choose a different hotel. A terrible hotel manager can ruin what should be a memorable trip.
A frustrating experience with a recent booking at Hotel Tasigo Eskişehir, made through Trip platform.
Upon arrival at the hotel, I initially inquired about room availability directly at reception and to view rooms. I was quoted a significantly higher rate than what was listed on Trip.com. When I showed them the lower price on the app and asked if they would match it, I was told they would not. However, the receptionist confirmed that I could book the same room through Trip.com and return with the confirmation.
After booking the King Room via Trip.com, the hotel insisted that only one person could stay in the room unless we paid an additional fee. This was despite the fact that:
The room type was clearly for two people,
Only one breakfast was included (which we accepted),
And no restriction on guest number was mentioned in the listing.
It took a prolonged discussion and escalation to the manager before two guests were allowed to stay—only after unnecessary argument and delay.
Additionally, the rate for the second night on Trip.com was significantly higher than the first night. I strongly recommend Trip.com highlight or suggest booking the entire duration of a stay at the outset, rather than booking night by night, to ensure guests lock
in the best rate and avoid such discrepancies.
The breakfast was a real highlight—fresh, varied, and beautifully presented. The staff were also outstanding: warm, professional, and always willing to help. The hotel feels very family-oriented, with a welcoming atmosphere throughout.
The gym is another standout feature, equipped with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment, including modern treadmills and strength machines.
The only downside was the cleanliness, which could use a bit more attention to detail in certain areas. That said, the positives far outweigh the negatives, and I still believe the hotel deserves a 5-star rating.
Highly recommended for families, couples, or solo travellers looking for comfort, good service, and a great location.
Communication can be difficult, as many staff members don’t speak English.
Room service is slow, and responsiveness across services is lacking.
Toiletries and amenities in the rooms are quite basic.
Additional charges apply for nearly everything, and overall, it’s a pricey place to stay.
Restaurant food is underwhelming, and the breakfast feels more like something from a 3-star hotel.
While the view is beautiful, the location isn’t ideal for exploring the city on foot.
- most of the employees can’t speak English
- the room service and all are very slow
- the rooms are not well equipped in terms of toiletries
- they charge extra for everything and it’s an expensive hotel
- the food at the restaurants are very average
- the breakfast is at 3 stars hotel level
- the hotel has a nice view but not walking friendly for city tour
On the good side
- spa is good
- the chef who prepares wedding menus must be good, at least for us they did a great job at the wedding menu
- the wedding organizers are helpful and kind
No one at the reception welcomed us upon arrival and helped with the suitcases. No parking or vale service was offered.
The shower in the room is very inconvenient. I couldn’t use it, had to use the shower in the spa area.
The wifi password didn’t work.
And this is a 5 star hotel with 160euro rate for a standard BB room.
A very overrated place.
There are other food hotels in the city.
The on-site restaurant was another highlight, offering delicious meals with a diverse menu and an outstanding breakfast buffet. Overall, the combination of luxurious accommodations, exceptional service, excellent pool and spa facilities, and a great restaurant made for an unforgettable stay. I highly recommend it for a truly exceptional experience.
There were two negative points in my opinion, which I feel I must mention. Firstly, as a five-star hotel, I believe that toiletries should be free of charge. Although the hotel provided unlimited hot and cold water, items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste were not complimentary. Secondly, we had an issue with one of the staff members who was exceptionally rude and angry, which other guests also noticed and complained about during breakfast. I informed the manager after breakfast, and they assured me they would address it, but the incident significantly disrupted the tranquility of our meal.
