White House Hotel

Lobby area and bar restaurant were beautiful. The room however was not. Lumpy mattress and the furnishings didn't match. The look was trying for vintage but yellow chair, blue ottomans and scratched coffee table and dresser looked used. The staff was great and I enjoyed my stay overall.

Stayed here for a small company event. Dave and Julie at the bar were awesome!!! There was another large private party along with our smaller group- definitely more than your average Wednesday night. They handled everyone professionally and with a smile. I will definitely recommend this jewel of a bar and hotel. So much history and a beautiful location! I’ll be back!

I love this fantastic hotel. It's my first go to getaway. The staff has always been first class. The restaurant has always been five star. The rooms are always clean, comfortable, accommodating and cozy. If you have a bad stay here it's your own fault.

We did not stay at the hotel. Just drinks and dinner. We sat at the bar and had amazing service. There was a live singer which was outstanding and set a really great atmosphere. The food is a bit pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. All the food tasted amazing.

Very clean, well appointed rooms. The building is a historic old shell that has been very well updated to modern times. Showers were well done, and the complimentary toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and even mouthwash (!!)) were very nice. Great views of the ocean and beach, and ample parking all around. I wish I could have stayed longer to get a better feel, but such is life.

My husband and I came down from Tennessee for our 10 year anniversary and this was the perfect place to stay. I love the history and beauty of the house and the staff were fantastic! We stayed 3 nights in a King room and were very comfortable. The staff adorned the bed with a sweet gesture before we arrived. That was a sweet touch! I will say that we may want to upgrade to a suite on the next floor up next time to really get a beautiful view of the Gulf across the street but all in all, it was a very nice room with comfortable accommodations. We enjoyed the pool several times while we were there, many times in the late evening. We only wish we could have seen the pool lit in the evening and that the jacuzzi was operating as well as the wet bar located near the pool. But it was very relaxing and the furniture around the pool was incredibly comfortable. The hotel bar staff was wonderful. We had Frank in the evening and he made incredible drinks and the hotel restaurant, Cora's, was beautiful and we had an incredible breakfast and night cap dessert. We will be returning again and hope this hotel continues to see many guests!

From the moment we walked into this historic hotel we received the red carpet treatment.The property is beautiful and the staff top notch. Our 3 night stay began when we checked in with Fran. She is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We dined at Cora’s all three nights. The food is that good! Julie was our server each night. She too was professional, efficient and provided us with a personal touch. Jeremy, the chef , came by our table and checked on us. He offered a new dish -Ya Ya Gumbo and a crab cake special. Both delicious. Frank and Bennett were great in the bar. They catered to our every need as we watched the Alabama game. Randy, the general manager, goes above and beyond to make guest feel special. He was picking up trash in the front lawn while talking with guest and offering water. The White House Hotel is our place for Cruisin the Coast. We are looking forward to being there next year!
