The Stanley Hotel
Estes Park, 333 Wonderview Avenue 🧭 Map
We stayed here for the annual Murder By Death concert and it was fantastic! Of course the concert was amazing but the hotel was beautiful and made the experience that much better! The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Absolutely stunning view of the mountains! All of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The whiskey vault downstairs in the hotel had a great selection of single barrel whiskeys...
A local that stopped by for a day visit. The area is gorgeous. Even though we were there off of tourist season and on a weekday, it was still packed. Coffee was great! The Gardens were also gorgeous!
Overall the staff were extremely friendly and down to earth, seemed like locals as well!
I would recommend timing a stay or visit outside of peak hours, however the history and architecture will be in...
I may need to rewrite this experience when I actually stay at this hotel, but it is a charming hotel. The staff definitely plays on the Hollywood experience and the paranormal. This is, by far, one of the more successful paranormal. If you are interested in film, and spiritual lore, this is the perfect place. There is a lot to engage in. There is a fun whiskey room with lots of bottles for purchase...
They Stanley was a great hotel. We stayed there for the haunts obviously but the area is gorgeous too. There is hiking nearby and shopping too. The wine bar is amazing for sitting out and enjoying a glass while enjoying the scenery and the servers are great. Carrie knew her wine and was so nice and friendly. I couldn't decide what to order and she made great suggestions and let me sample them to decide...
We stayed at the main hotel for 2 nights last summer in July, second floor (larger) room, and it was so comfortable. There was a large portable AC unit, an armoire, TV and a king-size bed....no complaints. Exploring the grounds was enjoyable, especially the little hidden areas. We did the Historical Tour, not the Ghost Tour, but the history tour had some of the ghost stories in it as well. I liked...
This was a bucket list adventure for me and the Stanley Hotel didn't disappoint! It is a gorgeous historical hotel and very haunted... Definitely give it a try or come for the ghost/ historical tour!

The Ridgeline Hotel, Estes Park, Ascend Hotel Collection
Estes Park, 101 South Saint Vrain Avenue 🧭 Map
Overall we were very disappointed with being charged an amenity fee: (1) The hot tub was broken (main reason we wanted to stay at The Ridgeline). (2) Other amenities did not apply to us. (3) Breakfast was listed as part of the nightly fee. We were offered drink coupons at the bar for our trouble but bar options were also cheap and limited.
Breakfast was very minimal.
Room, parking, lobby, and overall...
I would give it a 3.75. Room was spacious and very clean. In fact, the housekeeping staff here was constantly visible and working hard. All staff I encountered were helpful and friendly. Restaurant is sparse but the food was good. Bartender Edward was very personable and made me perhaps the best old fashion I've ever had. Good job Edward! So why the 1.25 star deduction? Only one reason...the pillows...
Great hotel right at the Eastern Gate to the Rockies.
So much to like about the hotel:
* green features in bathrooms and recycling bins in rooms and at exit points
* station to fill up water bottles
* lovely coffee and tea set-up at entry
* wonderful front desk staff - very welcoming and inclusive
* rooms in top notch condition
* large comfortable rooms - perfect to relax in after a day outside

Great hotel! Looks like they are doing a big renovation. Can't wait to see the final product the next time I'm in town. My room wasn't renovated, but still nice. Friendly, helpful staff. Had the Grilled Cheese with Tomato Bisque in the restaurant. You dont want to miss that!
What I appreciate about this hotel is that it's still standing, but has reinvented itself. Sure, it's not perfect, but the rooms are cozy and the in-house coffee bar had great coffee in AM. In true spirit of the hotel, the five-minute shower timer, yoga mattes and bulk soap in each room were a nice touch. A breath of fresh air for the eco conscious visitor.
still under construction, but all the updated stuff looks great! the beds were extremely comfortable and the food at the restaurant was delicious, and even had vegan options! we'll definitely be back

Estes Park, 1700 Big Thompson Avenue 🧭 Map
I don't think I've ever been to a hotel with a view as stunning as this!
Everyone we encountered from front desk staff to staff at the restaurant were super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and fit our needs perfectly, it could probably do with some updating but was fine just the way it was. And of course the view and location of this hotel is just perfect!
Fabulous place to stay. The view from our room was amazing! We came in not having a reservation, spur of the Moment decision and the staff went above and beyond to serve us and get us a great room. Staff at Dunraven was awesome as well. Went that next step to serve us.
Awesome location with fun things to do all around. We loved our room and view from the balcony. We saw the sunset and elk grazing. We walked the lake trail and just enjoyed the surrounding areas. The room was great with a cozy fireplace.
Great location, nice happy hour and fabulous meal @ the Dunraven. We had a wonderful time, however the room we had was certainly not worth the $480 that it cost. We were told lake front, we were at the end and had very little view of the lake, and the suite could have use some updating.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Estes park resort. This place deserves a 5 stars because of the view! We stayed in a lower level king room which had a walkout to the lake! The room itself is very outdated, TV is old, and sink was falling down. However the front desk staff was helpful, view can't be beat, and we had a good night sleep so overall giving it a 5 stars.
The staff have been absolutely amazing; they are so genuine and kind. The view is unbelievable. The bed feels like sleeping on a could. The romance package combined with the king jacuzzi suite has blown us away. HIGHLY recommend.

The Historic Crag's Lodge
Estes Park, 300 Riverside Drive 🧭 Map
Beautiful scenery and the hotel is full of charm and character. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely comfy bed and well equipped room.
I really did enjoy my stay here. I booked through Airbnb, and it wasn’t what I expected but still a nice place. It’s a historic building, very charming but also accommodating. The room was great and had everything we needed. Comfortable bed, tv with cable, clean facilities, and a working coffee maker. The staff was also friendly and helpful. There’s even a space where you can check out movies and games...
Parking lot is small especially for large SUVs or trucks. Didn't try their Wi-Fi because AT&T cell service is great. Nice rooms. Free Laundry!! Cable TV. The attached restaurant is good too.
Great place to stay in Estes. Quick access to the town but still seems remote. They have plenty of accommodations and would be a great place for a celebration or wedding. Outdoor and indoor amenities. A bar, pool table, hot tub, giant chess set outside. The room is quaint and cozy abit dated tho. The building is older so you can hear your neighbors easily. Sharon front the front desk is awesome a wrote...
The room was fine - large and a little bit rustic. The dining and bar were great. The location was incredible. The only real complaint was that the wifi was too slow to be able to do much. It might have been because our room was on the far end of the floor, but it was difficult to access Facebook or to stream Amazon.
When I arrived I was greeted immediately by the woman behind the front desk (wish I remembered her name!) and the gentleman she was training. They were both very kind and even offered me another room, as the one I booked was under the lodge’s restaurant and they had another available. This was very thoughtful, but I decided to keep the room anyway, and I’m glad I did. It’s spacious and homey. I didn...

Streamside on Fall River
Estes Park, 1260 Fall River Road 🧭 Map
Cute little cabins right on the river. A little outdated but clean. Nice patios with grill, some even have private hot tubs on the deck. Also has a communal hot tub that is always empty. Walking distance to Nickys steakhouse which is amazing (recommend the prime rib)
We stayed 5 nights in the Queen Cabin. The grounds were great and the cabin was exactly as described! Full kitchenette was great to make breakfast and with location 5 minutes from park gate we were able to make picnic lunches… this was handy since the fine dining in Estes Park was worth it. My wife and I are already planning next years trip!
Great place. Stayed in the rooms across the bridge. Full little kitchen. Kids slept on the pullout couch. Very quite. Loved the river right out the front door. Elk showed up one day. Definitely plan on going back.
We stayed in a small creekside cabin type room. It was a little dated but I expected that. Very convenient to Rocky Mt. . The cabin was clean and the people are very friendly. The creek was beautiful. Nice place to hang out for a few days.
It's right over the river not too far off the road. The wildlife roams through The property. The front desk people were extremely polite. I got a queen suite(kitchen, living space, porch) It was clean. It is pretty outdated in the some of the cabins, the oven and dish washer being the worst in mine. The walls seemed a little thin as well. Wi-Fi didn't work and the water was super crazy on temperature
I have been ayimg for years. Great family friendly get-a-way place. Close to RNP. They offer great clean room and awesome service. This is our to spot for when we want a nice quiet weekend.

Wonderful resort that felt just right. Large, airy suite with a great little balcony overlooking the river. Bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Close to the park, quick drive into town.
Love this place!! The location is amazing (super close to the park entrance and the rest of Estes Park). The room was incredible - very spacious, comfy bed, great shower, and the kitchenette was perfect. We were able to cook up some huckleberry pancakes (with mix we got at the RMNP Alpine visitor's center gift shop- highly recommend), eggs, and coffee for breakfast. The soaker jets tub was wonderfully...
We really loved our stay at Boulder Brook. The room is spacious and airy, and had a beautiful backyard overlooking the creek. The bed was super comfy, and we made great use of the plush bathrobes provided for hot tubbing. Definitely a great honeymoon spot!
We absolutely love this place! The suite was huge, with an amazing two person soaking tub with jets, next to windows that overlook the creek. The pictures online do not do this place justice! A peaceful get away without being too far out of town. We love Estes Park and will return to to Boulder Brook!

Estes Park, 701 Riverside Drive 🧭 Map
Excellent location and very good facilities such as hot tub and swimming pool. Garrett and Ryan, who were working at the front desk were fantastic-very friendly and helpful during our stay.
the condo was very comfortable for a family of three, nice beds, nice bathrooms. kitchen was pretty well stocked to cook a thanksgiving meal.
A very large WorldMark Resort located on the river and very close to town. Very busy town during the summertime. Driving distance to the fantastically beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park.
Great place along small flowing river. Elk passing through the property when we registered. Very nice friendly women behind the desk. Fabulous hottub. Nice views. I can't say enough!
Nice place next to the river. Elk bear and deer all seen locally. Beautiful scenery. Pool and hot tubs are nicely done. Pool not too deep, hot tub is very large, and there are several more elsewhere on the property. The handicap unit is kinda weirdly done but does the trick. Easy access to the national park and all the local touristy activities. Very beautiful and nice weather in Aug.
By far my favorite Wyndham stay I've had the opportunity of spending time in. The views are breathtaking- including the mountaintops, sunset over the mountains, a babbling river, and wildlife. The hot tub was my favorite feature, a luxury after a long hike in the nearby park.
Fresh popcorn was available in the lobby, a mail dropbox, DVD rentals, a computer, and a small store. There was also a bin...

We loved our stay at the Maxwell Inn! The location was perfect with it being a little off the beaten path but close enough to walk to the main shops for food and drinks. Our experience with the Maxwell Inn was wonderful from making the reservations all the way to check out! The staff is friendly and helpful in answering questions for us. Enjoyed our few nights here at the Inn. Location was perfect, walking distance to the downtown area but just far enough away that it was quiet and calm. Area felt very safe, even saw some elk around one morning!

Everything was great. Use of the hot tub was great and there were lovely toiletries which I wasn’t expecting so they were a lovely touch
Fantastic!! Loved the location, the ambience, rustic vibe and little touches. We will be staying here again for sure. Our room had a fireplace, access to the hot tube, and a microwave and fridge. The small extra touches when celebrating a birthday made it all better! Staff kind, inviting and knowledgeable about the area. Loved seeing the wildlife.
Thank you again for a wonderful weekend!
Tyler called the day of our arrival and I felt like I was talking to my best friend who is letting us stay at their home. When we arrived we had a personalized note, there was the extra towels I requested, even Febreze in the bathroom and fancy shampoo and conditioner. So many extra touches definitely would recommend. We had a perfect spot in Fall River with live elk and turkeys.
This place is terrific. A lot of other reviews talk about how great the owner is, and it's true. He's extremely friendly and helpful and cool.

Stayed in 4 Seasons a couple of nights while touring RMNP. Sweet location on the Fall River. Our visit was very pleasant. I would recommend it to anyone looking for lodging just outside of town and near the park. I think the rooms upstairs with a view of the River are most desirable. You can enjoy the elk grazing in the evening and early morning.
We had a very nice short & sweet stay. Wish it would have been longer. Mark was very helpful and accommodating. Mark takes time to make fresh baked cookie in the a.m. The room was nice, clean & comfortable. The bed was very comfortable & the pillows were amazing. This is the best place to stay in all of estes park! Lanelle and her family have become like our family. We love them and the wonderful hospitality they have provided us over all of my life.
Quiet, loved hearing fall river as we went about our day. The driveway was a bit steep and could use some attention.
Very nice - private cabin with porch and grilling area. Well stocked with kitchen supplies and blankets. Warm. Comfortable bed. Great for anyone wants to be close to RMNP. Would give five stars, except towels, linens and furnishings were dated and some needed replaced. Excellent place to stay!

What a wonderful get away. Not only was the room amazing, the staff were a delight. They were so friendly and personal and willing to just chat about anything and very informative of the town and all the events throughout the year. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
Came up here for an anniversary trip and stayed in the cozy king. Everything was amazing. The concierges were super helpful with directions and the complimentary breakfast was enough to have us filled to start each day. We are already talking about when we would next come back and would 100% book again.
Our first trip to Estes Park made exceptional by the folks at Appenzell Inn!!!! The room was perfect, the views were breathtaking and front desk folks literally saved our trip with advice on entrances to the park!!! I highly recommend!
Loved this hotel! Staff is great. Rooms are clean, comfy and cozy. The continental breakfast is good and snacks always available. It is close to the visitor’s center- about half a mile. So, we were able to walk there and catch the hiker shuttle to the park, as well as walk to town. I really liked the Appenzell Inn and will stat there again.
Great place to stay. The room was very clean and cozy. The staff was helpful with recommendations on restaurants and activities. My wife thought the bed was a little hard but I enjoyed it. There is a hot tub and indoor pool. I really liked the outdoor sitting area...plenty of grills and fire pits (they provide firewood). My wife also liked that they had Bath and Body Works soap, shampoo, and lotion
If I could give a 10 star rating I would! Everything about our weekend getaway at this hotel was amazing. From the awesome staff to the beautiful rooms to the homey amenities provided. It has a rustic decor, very close to the rocky mount national park. Very reasonable price. Room: The bed was comfortable but flush did not work very well. They do have a steak house in the resort which is cherry on the top.
Place was clean and nice. We had a quiet and nice time there. Fireplace made a great nite with roasting marshmallows.
I was happy we were able to book something in Estes Park on a sort of short notice, especially since this was Elk Fest weekend. What an incredible experience! We didn’t get to stay here unfortunately, but we stopped by and looked at all the history the key room and lodge had to offer. This was one of the nicer rooms I've stayed in. 1 king bed room. It was spacious, and even had a gas fireplace. A unique feature I've not seen before - the room had two doors - one to the interior of the hotel, one to the exterior parking lot (I was on the first floor). This Best Western was really lovely to work with in Estes Park for a room block for our wedding in early Oct 2022. this is a nice small hotel with all amenities including coffee machine, fridge! very clean!
good hearty breakfasts in a pleasant lounge with panoramic windows and a beautiful view.
despite the proximity to the road very quiet place. convenient location, right behind the hotel there is a elks park and very early in the morning deer walk right in the parking lot.
Our room was cute and had a great view of the mountains. The staff were helpful and prepared a fantastic continental breakfast that we enjoyed. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Plus there were about 60 elk outside our room in the Morning and we got to watch them graze for at least a half hour! Cool!
Our room was amazing! Clean and spacious and nicely decorated.
But I had specifically booked a place with a hot tub and our entire 4 nights/ 5day stay, the hot tub wasn't working. Every time I asked they said someone would be fixing it that day but it never got fixed while we were there so that was really disappointing as I had only looked at hotels that offered that as an amenity
Our suite was comfortable! Nice balcony from which we enjoyed watching elk in the morning (during the rut)! Clean. Only recommendation is to have housekeeping clean the floors under the vanity and behind the bed area. Most lodging facilities neglect this. But, paying attention to this level of cleanliness would take Coyote Mt. Lodge from a 4 to a 5 in my book!
We had a little hiccup with our reservation being accidentally canceled but when we called the office they worked with us to get another room. Check in was a breeze the room was clean and comfortable. The renovations seem to be recent and were done with great care and attention to detail. In the future we would definitely stay here again!
This was a surprisingly good motel! I stayed with my family of 6. The rooms were nice and spacious and clean! The beds were really comfortable. The breakfast was good and the staff super nice and helpful. The views walking out your door were amazing!
