Nice little hotel, came during the winter staff was nice, room were clean and comfortable but a bit dated.

Magical place on our road trip from Seattle to San Fran. It is just outside Fort Bragg which is not particularly pretty. But the hotel is on a bluff and has wonderful walks and bike trail and beautiful views of the coast lines if it is not foggy. Great hotel with incredible views and friendly staff. The one downside was the fog horn every 30 seconds if you leave the slider door open, but North Cliff provides ear plugs for that if you need them. Will definitely be staying there again.

Rooms are very nice! The view and the sound of the ocean are won’t. If you want a bathtub reserve a room with a spa. Other, you’ll get a shower - no tub.

A nice convenient location with a large enough room for a family of 4. The reception staff were welcoming and very helpful with hints and ideas for sightseeing around Fort Bragg and northern California.

Hotel is accompanied by complementary miniature golf (if booked directly). There is an arcade too. As it was raining, we didn't play golf. Clean rooms, limited breakfast (pastries, muffins, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate). Area is spectacular. Various restaurants just down the street and across (David's is very good for breakfast and lunch only). McDonald's also adjacent.

Surf Motel is an unpretentious place to stay that's easy to access and certainly fine for a few nights. It was quiet and clean and affordable. This is a lovely hotel overlooking the harbor with access to the beach. The rooms are clean and well taken care of. I was greeted each morning by the manager as I went to the office to get my coffee. I was unable to check in at 1 like I planned so I had to wait till 4. I heard the spa treatment was horrible but I didn't do the spa service. The room was nice the shower didn't have much hot water. And I over paid for my room but it was a weekend so almost 300$ a night. I still like this hotel I would stay again but u won't pay 300$ again

Have stayed multiple places in Fort Bragg, this place has happened to be the best of them. Chong the owner was very polite and generous. The room was clean, and already heated for me when I called in. I used the fire pit and hot tub with what she provided. She had other options like sauna, steam room, salt room, etc. Thumbs up.

The owner is wonderful and the upgrades and renovations they've done show their care for their guests. It was a great experience and the room was comfy. THIS PLACE IS THE BEST!!!!! From the view, to the room, to the go above and beyond staff. You can't go wrong! DO NOT STAY ANYWHERE ELSE! You can legit walk down to the beach in a minute flat.

No WiFi, dated interior, no comfortable seating, no amenities in lobby. Overall, the only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is the fact that it’s locate on the coastal walking trail and has a beautiful ocean view. I hope they will update and provide more services i the future.

Rooms are large. Somewhat dated as far as furniture but definitely a solid and comfortable place to stay. Pets welcome. Breakfast is meh. Beds are comfy. Rooms are quiet. Hot tub was awesome after a long day hiking.

I was only here for one night but the day of checkout at 10am before I had even checked out the house keeper tried to come in. I wasn't clothed yet since I was still in bed and she didn't hear me till she opened the door. I wish they would have checked in the computer to see if anyone had checked out before doing that. Other than that the room was perfect in a good location of the small town.

Our stay here was great! It was only 1 night, but we had a good experience. The rooms, while dated, felt clean and comfortable. The view of Pudding Creek was nice! It is a cute hotel and we felt secure since you need your key card to get in each building. There is plenty to eat nearby and is a short drive to Mendocino. I would stay here again.

Cozy, comfy hotel close to the ocean! The suite we stayed in had a king bed with a private balcony, fireplace and HUGE spa tub (it’s seriously enormous!). We arrived late and checked out early, but the area is charming and has a lot to offer. Best of all, they’re dog friendly and super accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Great views and decks, close to downtown as well. Service was friendly and we were able to bring our dog. They even provided a dog "care package" with treats and blanket which was a nice touch. They do offer free breakfast but we had to leave earlier than it was available. Enjoyed our time there, although brief.

This is not a five star hotel but a five star hotel in its class. Nice clean pool and hot tub, helpful staff and a very nice continental breakfast. Too bad it was POURING. We didn't get our horseback riding in.

The hotel was a great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel overall was decently clean and did not have a musky smell, which I was happy with. Some of the rooms are smoking rooms, which isn't a pleasant smell when getting on the elevator after someone who smokes. But our did not smell like smoke at all.

More expensive than the other places in town, but worth it not to have to deal with the other hotels. Looking at you, ebb tide inn.

We loved it. Stayed just one night in the Birdhouse and, the kitchen the decorations the restroom the bed, everything is great. Weak water pressure in the shower, but I've never been any place that didn't have that so no strike against them. Nice people too, they let us stay an extra hour before leaving and that helped. 👍

My room was uninhabitable due to the lack of adequate heating available on a very cold day and then the water shut off in the evening. Cute BnB with good Covid protocols. We stayed in Granny’s Attic which lives up to its name. It had all we needed for our stay and had a nice long claw foot tub to soak in. It’s located walking distance to all of the shops of downtown and easy access to glass beach.

Very cool lodging were you can sit, drink coffee and talk to the chickens before their bedtime. Wish we had two nights instead of just the one. The room we ended up with was awesome and Christine was a very good hostess. We'll definitely be back!

Located just a few blocks away from the downtown area of Fort Bragg. Very convenient location with easy parking in the back and out front by the street. Loved this historic home and its location. Every room has a bathroom. Some of the rooms only have a tub but it wasn't a big deal. Absolutely stunning, a wonderful experience. The only drawback was being charged extra for a “room upgrade” the owner never told us about... Despite this, had a very romantic weekend ❤️

We dropped by for a community dance which was no longer happening but was still being advertised. After looking around we thought we might like to stay there some time. No one was around so we couldn't ask any questions.

Had a wonderful experience. Well appointed room and very comfortable. Staff is very pleasant and informative, the history of the house is wonderful, jazz dancing upstairs, the wonderful sunsets from atop the water tower, and the fresh baked goodies in the am. Making friends with the local inspector, "Perp", a friendly black cat, he is a great judge of character and may decide to visit and curl up with...
