This place is very well located directly on the beach and building 6 is overlooking the ocean and perfect for whale watching out your porch. The service is great but the front desk over the years has had very limited flexibility. Rooms are well appointed with microwave, fridge, coffee, and more :-)

So many issues I have with this place. May have just been here too long working. Most of the staff are wonderful people who have been through much turmoil due to the fires. Some others could use some " hospitality" training more demonstrations of " Aloha" for those at the property ( long term) for work trying to help the community. Never too much to ask as hospitality is the business.

This is the only resort we stay at when on Maui. The pool water should be a little warmer. Have experienced cold water in the pool for 15 plus years. Please consider increasing the temperature of the pool water. Truly enjoy the Sheraton Maui for all other resort aspects.

We love it here so much! I took my kids here for 5 days over Labor Day weekend in 2022, and we had never been to Maui. We fell in love with the hotel and the island. The room was great and so was the staff. The kids loved the pool, the game room, and the giant chess board. They also have a luau at the hotel and free activities on certain days. They have a parking garage, but they charge a daily fee. There was a cliff diving show every night off of Black Rock. That was cool. They also had live music down by the pool every evening.

I am going to write a long review because vacationing is expensive and I use these reviews to help research when I'm planning.

I loved this resort. The staff is on top of it and very friendly. The pool is very clean and beautiful. You cannot beat the location of this property for several reasons. The first being it is very safe and you have to have a wrist band on at all times and the staff checks it. If you do not have one on you will be escorted out of the pool area.
Secondly, the pool is right on the beach. The cove the property is in is calm and perfect for kids to swim safely and to snorkel. The property is protected from rough waters. The food and drinks are great and there are lots of stores on the property so if you don't want to leave you don't have to. If you call the front desk they will provide you with whatever you need quickly and a smile. I would definitely stay here again. You don't have to rent or buy anything for the ocean and sand. It is available near the pool at a stand. I do not think the rooms are worth the money but who stays in the room in Maui? The rooms are not horrible and the beds are comfortable but if I owned the hotel I would gut and modernize all of the rooms because of the price of them. You are definitely paying for the location. The grounds are beautiful, well maintained and modernized but the rooms need to be updated. I still would spend my money here and this is my review. I want to add that they literally scrub the rooms every day and not just vacuum and make the beds your entire stay. That stood out to me.

The location is excellent. The best beach access and the views are terrific. I stayed in the Moana building, which is really quiet (a bit far from main area by pools etc). Views over ocean are spectacular. We watched whales and dolphins from our balcony

Lovely staff all over. Expensive food @Black Rock. Cliff dive bar has AMAZING chili cheese wedges & smoothies. Beach out the front is gorgeous but $45 to hire a cabana lounge :-/ steeep!

We booked two rooms through Costco for my family and my parents. We had requested adjoining rooms at booking. When we arrived they had us on completely different floors which was not going to work with how much we wanted to spend time together. They found us new rooms on the ground floor a few rooms apart. We did lose out on our ocean view that we paid extra for but it was EXTREMELY convenient to be on the ground floor fairly close to the pool. We were not far from our room which made the many trips back to our room better.

We enjoyed the pool everyday and ate from every restaurant. The staff was always great and attentive. We rented a cabana for one of our pool days and we really enjoyed having the service and shade. Highly recommend a cabana. We booked this prior to arriving.

The hotel also has sunscreen stations which was a lifesaver for the harsh sun on kids!

We saw turtles swimming by black rock and even jumped off. So much fun! We would stay here again.

This hotel is one of the most well known in this area. I've been staying here for years. If you choose this place you for sure won't be disappointed.

Great hotel, upscale, but not pretentious, family friendly while not overrun with kids. Beach is great, snorkeling right from their beach provides fish, sea turtles and even heard whales off in the distance. In winter whales can be seen routinely from the grounds. Pool is fun, with a 'lazy river's style setup and the pool bars offers drink specials twice a day, around noon and 3-5pm. Great place!

The Luau was a lot of fun! We really enjoyed the place, a nice setting and great weather. The event was organized well and orderly. The food was fantastic…. You have to try the Poke, I know, it’s raw fish but it is superb! The program was super fun and interactive. Don’t go if you just want to eat and leave, you’ll be missing out. Enjoy the time and enjoy some of the culture. The time was well spent
