Lovely hotel with nice big rooms. I liked that we had a large bed and also a sofa. The pool is gorgeous and has lots of space. The on site Luau is spectacular and a must do.

Stayed for 4 nights with family of 4 (18 and 17 year olds). Rooms were nice, cleaned everyday, hotel was clean and had several up sides to it

None of the restaurants open till 5 so if you have kids and like bar snack food for lunch make plans elsewhere. Pricey of course for convenience. Pool is set up weird not hand rails in the 4foot deep side to get out

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The parrots and penguins were fun to watch. And it was also an easy walk to Whalers Village from here

We loved the animals everywhere, we called the garden area “the zoo” & it was our favorite path to walk through on the way to the beach. I love that the resort offers free classes & beach chairs & umbrellas

Beautiful resort & spa! My husband & I really enjoyed our 6 day stay here. We were celebrating our 2 year anniversary & the front desk staff went out of their way to gift us something catered to us

We highly recommend booking a Club Lounge room. All of the employees and staff at this hotel are so kind and genuine, but we especially cherish our interactions with Laura in the Club Lounge

When we got to The Ritz there was this beautiful lady snapping her fingers to the beat of music playing, with a huge smile on her face who saw us and literally welcomed us with open arms, and right away we knew we were going to love this place

My husband and I stayed here for our 2nd anniversary and it was absolutely perfect! The staff was so wonderful, the food was amazing, and the view from our room was breathtaking

Picturesque and beautiful location. Tennis, basketball and pickle ball courts are a huge plus for families with kids. Good collection of restaurants. Concierge was exceptionally helpful. Would definitely go there again

BEWARE HIDDEN FEES! They force you to valet for $50 a night (don’t forget to tip). At the end they surprise you with a $40/night resort fee

The pool area is just as gorgeous, with plenty of cabanas, lounge chairs, towel service, and wait staff for drink/food orders. Down by the private beach you will also find a delicious burger place

We went here on our honeymoon and have been several other times. The hotel is absolutely breathtaking. It's super close to the beach, the pools and hot tubs are great

The servers around the pool were always very attentive and friendly. The only thing that I was surprised to see, they charged $10 or $15 for a lei making class

Was very spacious! Our kitchen had everything we needed, and was very convenient for breakfast and lunches. We did have lunch at the pool bar a few times

They provide so many fun activities and classes that make your stay so much more convenient and personalized. The activities are also cheaper than a lot of other places because they are part of the hotel

You can also walk to a plaza on the main street, and there are lots of shops nearby for snorkel rentals. We snorkeled right in front of the Nanea and saw a sea turtle! It was an awesome experience

The concierges are so helpful and really care about helping people have the best experience possible. They have a shuttle, but they also have free parking for rental cars if you have one

The pool area was beautifully landscaped, offering a refreshing oasis where we could cool off and relax. The hot tub provided a soothing retreat after a day of exploring the island

The convenience of having a washer and dryer in the condo was an added bonus, making it easy to refresh our beachwear and towels

There’s a snorkel area just a few steps away and there’s turtles there!! The resort is beautiful and clean!! Our room … OMG!!! So clean and modern from the kitchen appliances to the automatic blinds, tile floors and the bed was soo comfortable! The only thing that needed to be changed is the sofa bed … it was so soft that my son just sank in it but then he didn’t mind it that much as he barely slept...

I've been coming here since I was a kid. It's a great building with great views, a great pool area, and beach access

The food counter near the pool, or cooking in your room, are going to be your best breakfast options

No restaurant on site but a small but efficient kitchen doing take away orders. Fortunately a grocery store across the street. Our previous trip the beach had eroded away and risked damaging the pool area

The rooms were nice and clean. They need to add steps down to the beach for the guests. The pool is large and never too crowded. The drinks are pretty expensive (but everything in Maui is😅)

If you can book a stay through HGV Max you will love it! The only thing I would warn you about (and this has nothing to do with the hotel) is breakfast options are soarly lacking on Maui

Absolutely wonderful to stay here. View of ocean or partial view with views from sides and balcony which is still good. Beach open and accessible from facility

Beware: everything closes at 7 pm except for the pool, which closes at 10pm. Very specific demographic vacations here: over 50 and young parents with small kids. Activities are geared toward these groups

I myself love the Spa by the Sea, Elle Dammers sure has the magic touch. She made me feel ten thousands better. Also Our housekeeper Florencia F she is the best

Three different pool options off of different towers of the site! The place is massive! Ocean Club staff was more than just friendly, they got to know us by name. My son knew all of the folks who worked around the pool

She was very sweet and so accommodated with our 7 months old baby sleeping schedules. She made sure our room was clean empty trashes made beds and left us some fresh towels. She is truly care for her job/guests

I've been going here since before I could even walk and am still impressed with it today. They've remodeled their pool a couple times and make significant improvements every time

Not very family friendly for young kids (compared to others) for instance they charged $40 a night for a low quality pack n play and we felt like at the pool our kids couldn’t be as playful as they could at the larger resorts where everyone could sprawl out to get the pool experience they wanted

There are fancier accommodations that charge accordingly, but we had a great location for navigating the island and a beautiful beach for boogie boarding and playing in the surf! The condo has great views, beds are comfortable and the items provided in the kitchen and for the beach were just right!

Some of the best rooms I've ever stayed in. Be aware they do not allow floats or inflatable rafts in either pool. I wish they allowed them in one of the pools because young kids like them

Room size for extended family - 2bed rooms & bath room, wide dining and living room, well equipped cooking devices. Good and various swimming pool and BBQ Close to beach access, downtown and Safeway, Ross, mall

This is located right at the beach though it still has its own pool to enjoy and you walk right to the beach and I mean right at the beach. The pool is nice and there’s a separate jacuzzi as well

We stayed 7 nights and our room was big and clean, staff was very accommodating, the facilities such as the pools and jacuzzi were all exactly what we expected. The restaurant was decent too

Kaanapali shores , good location. The rooms were great with full kitchen. No towel or cleaning service during our stay. We booked a full ocean view room and we got only partial ocean view

The pool facility was great fun for the kids and us

You can snorkel right here in front at the beach though we drove away to other locations to snorkel and swim as well and then realized how nice is was right here

Beautiful clean rooms! Although in the bedroom (room 308) it did flood on the floor near the window… they were getting intense rain and winds when I was there

This place is a really good one! Gated access only. The suite I had was plenty enough for me and would of suited 2,just fine. Dining and shopping is right around the corner

Very spacious and couple friendly, two full bathrooms, and also a door on the master bedroom. Great view of the pool area, while having a slide door in the master bed and also the living area

Upon entering our first room, there was a huge crack over the majority of the sliding glass door overlooking the mountains. The crack was covered by clear tape and really took away from the view

This property was gorgeous! The tropical setting around the pools were beautifully landscaped. And the rooms were very accommodating and clean. The employees are very friendly and nice. And the sunsets are breathtaking

What an amazing place! Hands down would stay here again! The property is meticulously kept up, staff is friendly, and accommodations, although a little on the older side, are very roomy, comfortable and clean! Also, large rooms with a full kitchen AND a view! No charge for parking a vehicle and NO RESORT FEES! We have never stayed on the North end of Maui, now we will stay no where else

There are 3 different pools to choose from. Access to the beach is a couple steps away there’s also a restaurant on the premises it’s called the Sea House restaurant amazing food 🍱

This is my husband workplace before as a cook. We just meet and greet his old colleagues. Wherein all the kitchen staff are such nice people especially chef alex. I would love to go back and maybe eat here too

The beach was lush and the path along the rocks was so pretty!!! I’ll leave a separate review for the Sea House Restaurant but in case you don’t go there, it was also superb and the morning breakfast view was awesome! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay or wedding and will absolutely return each year on our annual Maui visit!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon here in October. Beautiful, relaxing, and gorgeous paradise! Staff was very welcoming and hospitable. Lots of things to do at the resort as well as the surrounding areas

Although the place has a policy against hoarding pool chairs with towels, they didn't enforce it. A couple next to me was hoarding 3 chairs for about 4 or 5 hours. Their food also wasn't the best quality and value wise

The facility has several pools to choose from just steps away from the beach. The tennis/pickle-ball/basketball courts were always open and you could rent equipment for free through the front desk

The resort has everything you need - pools, great customer service, a-lot of green space, gym with great equipment, and more

Excellent vacation resort, great beach, wonderful room, great service. The only negative point was one of the pools being remodeled combined with the availability of pool chairs

We visited during the low season (sept 2021) so there were less people walking around but it was perfect for us. There are near by shopping and you can take long walks in the evening comfortably as the area is beautiful

Additionally we had a balcony, not with a great view (parking lot) but honestly that was less important to me :) Overall will be returning and sharing with all my loved ones

We stayed in a huge two bedroom condo with three adults and three kids; the stay was perfection. The pools were immaculate and the perfect pool temperature

We loved our stay at sands of kahana! It was the perfect place to spend a week in Maui! Right on a beautiful beach, with pools and hot tubs if you'd rather not get sandy! The entire complex was well maintained, clean hallways, walkways, and stairways

Grills cleaned daily. Easy beach access. Pools seemed to be well maintained bar on site. Only wish is that last call was a little later than 9. We had a great stay!

They also have a get together on Thursdays at 3:30 on the grounds, they provide hamburgers and all the fixings and a little entertainment. That was a real nice treat! The pool area seemed small to us and very plain

Only other complaint would be that there was a strong odor (sewer smell) in one of the bathrooms. Pool is small but was fine for us

We stopped in to use the hospitality room to wait for a later flight. Ended up sitting at the bar of the restaurant instead. Large complex that looks well kept. Pool looked busy and a little small

When we checked in we were greeted with a bottle of wine and chocolate as a congrats and then our already ocean view room seems to have been upgraded to a 2 bedroom. Didn’t use the space but we definitely felt the love

Great location, walking distance to beach boardwalk and food truck park. Quick 7 min drive to a ton of restaurant options as well. Thank you for making our honeymoon in Maui so much more memorable :-)

But we're great about explaining what was happening and why. They took one night off our bill for the inconvenience of the jackhammers! We would definitely stay here again! The staff was friendly and helpful

Rooms and views are breathtaking and very private and not overly busy at all which was important to us. The concierge, Elisa, highly recommend to book everything including restaurant reservations

The only thing it was missing was a bathtub. The view of the ocean was spectacular!!! They were doing dinner renovations that woke us up the first morning of our stay

Three star property, older, nice staff, beautiful grounds, nice pools, great location. Free parking right next to your room. No elevators, but only 2 stories. Our 1 bedroom had a nice fridge, stove, dishes, etc

The rooms are great, and the hot tub next to the pool was an awesome addition. It feels great after swimming in the warm ocean water

There are 2 pools and several bbq grills with tables and chairs. They have breakfast daily, yoga by the beach several mornings a week, and once weekly an evening mixer with drinks

The staff was kind, quick and incredibly helpful. Everything you need from grocery stores to rental gear is right there, and many of the rooms have umbrellas, towels and all kinds of other extra things

The 1st con was when my boyfriend went to the front desk to ask for more hand towels, the gentleman at the receptionist desk rolled his eyes and seemed very annoyed and dismissively said someone would stop by our room

The quick access to the beach was wonderful and it was nice of the resort to provide plentiful beach towels, beach tubes/noodles, etc

Just the coolest place with super nice and helpful people. I also thought the price was incredibly reasonable for it being beach front and all the nice extras they offer

I 100% recommend staying here and will again in a heartbeat if we ever come back

Poolarea is more 5* than 4*, 2 restaurants very nice and very good food, nice bar, good breakfast at starbucks, beach very beautiful no rocks just sand and waves and save swimming no currents, we saw turtels and manta rays, very friendly staff

Great hotel with quick access between the amazing pools and the pools and the ocean. The only thing I'd tell you to stay away from is the Starbucks coffee at the stand near the koi pond, far from real

We all loved the fact that this place felt like it was very welcoming, it had more of a community feel than hotels usually do. The pool wasn’t huge but big enough for us and the hot tub was pretty big

Absolutely lovely grounds with large koi pond, right on the shore, condo had just about everything one needs to cook at home. Swimming pool was so comfortable and the hot tub is also popular

I love the peaceful beauty here. The only drawback is the lack of a sandy beach. This is offset by all the beaches around it. This is my third time at Aston Papakea and I will definitely be back again

Family friendly, as there are many 2BR units. Took away 1 star for the hard mattress on the king bed. I had to sleep on one of the twin beds in the kids' room. Also, the furniture could really stand some replacements

There weee usually plenty of each chairs or recliners to use near the pool or around the grounds. The pool is very clean and warm! Even a small pool attached for littles which is great for parents of small children

Soda machine near the pool but they also had a free water filter for unlimited water bottle filling, which saved a lot of money. There were many guests here for the holiday but it was never overcrowded or noisy

Every night there was staff cleaning the pool and facilities

The A bldg offers amazing views. Plusses at this property: beautiful sunsets, turtles in the cove, nice pool with smaller children's wader, great BBQs, family oriented, good location to several nice coves

The F bldg is waterfront but incurred storm damage and requires extensive repairs to the seawall so unfortunately is not rentable. We stayed in bldg C and had great pool and ocean-peek views

Beautiful place. Grounds kept really nice. Beautiful private beach. Heated pool was great. Our unit was good except there is carpet throughout.

All sorts of kitchen equipment, dishes, cups, glasses as you would expect. Multiple Sea turtles every afternoon and a very beautiful sunset. Enjoyed blowing of conch shell at sunset

Nothing like falling asleep to the sound of the ocean 40 feet away. Washer and dryers down stairs, free parking and high speed Internet. Feels safe and comfortable here for me and my family

We had a perfect 5 day stay in 213. Ocean right outside the lanai - can stay their all day and not have to go anywhere. The sound of waves - so relaxing

No AC needed - just open the lanai door and let the breeze do the work. The unit had snorkeling gear, beach umbrellas, beach towels, coolers and also some water shoes

There was dust build up on the stove top, stains on the wall in the bedroom and bathroom that i was able to easily remove with a wet towel

The queen bed was very comfortable plus there was a murphy bed in the family room for extra guests or for sleeping close to the ocean. The walk-in shower was wonderful
