The Westin Monache Resort, Mammoth
Mammoth Lakes, 50 Hillside Drive 🧭 Map
Best location across the street from the village. Best hotel in the area. Great jacuzzi and pool year round!
Excellent location and accommodations. We stayed in a one bedroom with a kitchenette, which was really convenient for having quick and healthy breakfast and snacks. Enjoyed the amenities and proximity to the gondola. Friendly and helpful staff were great too. My only complaint would be that the rooms are somewhat dim, which made it harder to do any reading not on an electronic device. (This affected...
Wonderful hotel. Excellent, helpful staff. Extraordinarily well stocked kitchenette with knives, peelers, pots/pans, blender, kettle, salt/pepper mill, dishwasher, microwave, stove, and refrigerator. Overall a great hotel experience
Spent two nights here, two different room types. Ended our stay with the 2 bedroom luxury suite. Had a small issue with the heating not working in a second bedroom but Westin was eager to resolve the issue for us. They offered to extended our stay which worked out nicely for us. Great amenities and one of the nicer hotels in Mammoth.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. It was great. Good size, very clean, please decor and of course, great beds and showers that Westin is know for. The our suite had a full kitchen and 6 people dining table. Great for our 3 generation party of 6. The restaurant had a great breakfast menu (not buffet). Reasonably priced for and up class hotel too.
Wonderful stay with a comfortable room. The kitchenette was very convenient and we appreciated that the outdoor pool is heated (and 2 hot tubs!). Location was great with easy access to most everything. Room was clean. Service was helpful and friendly. I'd stay here again-- great all the way around.

Mammoth Lakes, 1111 Forest Trail 🧭 Map
Location, location, location. Close to everything. But if you’re looking for a quiet place, this may not be the best choice. This is the central location for shopping during the day, and bars and restaurants at night. If you want to be in the middle of it all, this is your place. Proximity to the gondola is a huge plus, as well as underground parking.
We just finished our stay at The Village Lodge and yet again, it was fantastic. You cannot beat the location. The service was incredible and the staff is so responsive and kind. Our room was spacious and had everything we could have possible needed. It’s the only place we stay and is perfect for families!
Location and amenities are the highlights sthere, though they are extra fees associated with your stay. The walk to the Village Gondola which takes you to Canyon Lodge is as close as you can get. The following are included in your resort fee: underground parking, access to the year-round heated pool and 3 hot tubs located in the courtyard and use of a ski locker near the building entry so you don...
I've stayed here twice. The location is convenient for families with small children needing childcare while skiing. The quality of the rentals varies widely and when booking through Mammoth Reservations there is no quality control. I booked a luxury 3 bedroom two consecutive years. The first unit was truly luxury and extremely well maintained. The second unit was far from luxury and had several maintenance...
Convenient to the village gondola. Restaurants are a short walking distance. Staff is great. Got a complimentary one bedroom upgrade from a studio. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a living area with fireplace and a balcony. Tub is deep and great for soaking after a long day on the slopes and they also have a hot tub. The garage is secure and parking spaces are not crammed and a short walk to...
We stayed here during a blizzard, and there was so much about it that was incredible that it's hard to list. The rooms all have fireplaces, parking is underground, the staff was very responsive, we even sat out in the hot tub while the snow was falling! Everything Is right nearby - and if you don't want to drive but need to get somewhere else in town the shuttle stops at several different parts of...

The staff were amazing. So helpful, carrying bags, giving dinner and places to visit. We loved them.
Staff were very friendly. Spa/hot tub was nice. Unfortunately, we were on the first floor and could hear every footstep from the room above us so did not sleep well. Close to the Red line shuttle to mammoth (3 min walk) which was convenient. Rooms were clean and housekeeping was good.
We LOVE staying at Mammoth Creek Inn. They have an amazing spa & the beds are so comfy! Tom does an amazing job taking care of us when it comes to driving us to & from the mountain which is super helpful. He is always really insightful about the mountain / lifts open as well. Looking forward to staying here every trip to mammoth.
We love this place and we’d like to give a special shout out to Leina’ala and Tom for going beyond and above in helping us with directions, recommendations and for setting up the fireplace late in the night to keep us warm. It’s that personal touch that makes this place so special, as compared to bigger hotels. I would give this place a ten-star if I could. Highly recommended! Thank you for this special...
Rooms had no AC. Very dry air to the point I got a bloody noose. Shower pressure was weak. Very clean however. The hot tub was very high end high-end. Front desk staff was nice and very helpful
We had an amazing time at Mammoth Creek Inn! The rooms were super nice and clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The owners went above and beyond with making sure we had everything we needed, and were super nice and accommodating. The spa area was great to enjoy after skiing, with both a hot tub and sauna. We had a great view of the mountains, the inn is conveniently located as well!...

What an amazing weekend we came in fall and we're leaving in winter! It is 32° today it was 70° on Friday! Our stay was amazing our rooms were perfect and the jacuzzi was great. The managers and their little daughter are the best ! Super friendly and hospitable. ! ❤️ We even got to meet the owners. She decorated for Christmas so beautifully! Thank you for everything! We will of course be back.
Sweet and homey! After a long day of driving my partner and I were surprised to see our room had been upgraded. What a nice surprise! The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend!
Great value. Our room was super comfortable, cute, clean, and warm. In the room there were three choices of heat including a a little gas fire place. The bed was soft but not too soft and there was an extra comforter in the closest just in case it was needed. Outside the front door was a closet for boards and skis. We made use of the hot tub which was excellent after a long day on trail. Breakfast...
Great little inn with comfortable beds. Breakfast was awesome and Lani was very attentive with guests despite being understaffed. It gets surprisingly chilly at night in the summer, so we enjoyed the hot tub too! Would definitely come back.
The room we were given was beautiful and secluded right at the back of the property and we felt incredibly welcomed (especially as they left some chocs and even a card for our anniversary). It was a shame we had a family of elephants staying above us because apart from them, the place was perfect. A good distance from the slopes and some lovely food around. Breakfast was a simple but tasty event. We...
This place is absolutely amazing. Really warm cozy rooms with comfy beds, free WiFi, and is right in the heart of the cool town of Mammoth Lakes. The lady at the desk is extremely nice, and cooks a VERY tasty breakfast in the morning (which is free). She cooked my wife and I a large omelette with toast and it was one of the best omelettes I’ve had. There is also oatmeal, coffee, cereal, orange juice...

Great stay! Lovely beds and accommodation, everything we needed. The pool and spa was right outside, they provided towels and plastic cups for the outdoors area. Beautiful view! Middle of summer and warm but can see snow on the mountains. Lovely. Wish we stayed longer.
We stumbled on this little piece of heaven at Mammoth Lake. Beautiful scenery! The room was very comfortable with great amenities and parking. There are plenty of outdoor activities and we happen to stay overnight during a fun celebration at the village close by. We definitely will stay longer next time.
Great rooms, great hot tubs (3) / pool, and great views. Five minutes from the Mammoth main lodge, this resort is a great place to bring the family for a great outdoor adventure. My family of five slept comfortably in the two bed-room condo. Price for the room was just right. Tip to future visitors, buy a gondola ride. One kid is free for each adult and the kids loved the ride.
We visited in the off season and got a great rate AND an upgrade to a two bedroom suite with a kitchen. The views are gorgeous and the rooms are nice but there's no AC; just fans. But remember, it's a ski town so it's cold most of the time. Beds are comfortable and the parking is underground so you can feel better about the safety of your vehicle. All the destinations in Mammoth are less than 5 miles...
This is a great place to stay during the ski/snowboard season. Beds are King size and full kitchens so you can cook your own breakfast, gear up, and walk right out to lift.
Great place to stay! Would definitely go back. Friendly staff, big rooms, astonishing views

My wife, daughter, and I stayed here recently. I can’t recommend this resort enough. The staff were friendly and informative. Everything in the cabin was in tip top shape. We ended up getting snowed in and the resort was kind enough to let of stay another night to which I was more than happy to pay for. Can’t wait to return again soon!
The cabin itself was great and the convict lake/valley truly is spectacular, particularly during fall colors while we were there. BUT BEWARE: this resort apparently also hosts weddings and receptions and they go from mid afternoon until 10pm. This was not disclosed to us before booking. We were in the second farthest cabin out (Rainbow #2) and with all the windows and doors shut we could still here...
We stayed at the Convict Lake Resort during our elopement week. Everyone at Convict Lake was very accommodating and welcoming (even let us check into our cabins early so we could start getting ready for our ceremony). Our wedding dinner was at the Restaurant, where they gave us the entire back room. Great service and food! Can’t wait to return for our future anniversaries. Thanks Convict Lake!!
Delicious food and the service was great too. We drove up from the Bay Area to enjoy our anniversary dinner with family. We weren't disappointed, it was just as good as we were told when we were recommended to come here. Totally recommend this place for amazing food 👌
We stayed in the Morrison Cabin and had a great time. There's a bar & restaurant and a cute little store that sells souvenirs, beer, wine, snacks, etc.. there's also a grassy hangout spot with wedding venue accommodations and gorgeous mountain views! The horseback ride to Convict Lake was fun for riders of all levels. The ride is a bit physical so it might not be best for sensitive groups. Lots of...

We drove in and the place was beautiful! I liked how close to nature we were - in fact the staff told us there were bear sightings on the day we arrived. We unfortunately (or fortunately) didn't get to be face to face with a bear, but even if we did, the staff gave us tips to keep safe. We came on a moonless, clear night and saw the milky way! Absolutely amazing. I wish we also stayed a few days...
Scheduled for one night, upon check-in discovered they upgraded my room. The supervisor who checked us in was incredibly friendly, as well as the other staff. The view was wonderful. Overall, fantastic experience for my short stay here.
Love this Lodge and Resort area, my first visit was in 2019, and despite some changes since then (due to the pandemic) this place is still absolutely fantastic, just as beautiful. I enjoyed my week here and I can't wait to visit again!!
We love the Twin Lakes area and were excited to stay at Tamarack Lodge especially given the highly positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was mediocre at best. As expected, we loved the trees and mountains and quiet mornings, and we got to watch the sunrise paint the cliff, listen to the birds, and explore the lakes. The cabin itself (a studio) was just OK. The finishes and furnishings were...
What a beautiful place to stay. The main bedroom was super comfy and the kids loved the pullout couch. There's All kinds of activities to do while you're here. Fishing, bike riding, boating and hiking to name a few. Great for a romantic get-a-way or a fun filled outing with the kids too. All around great place! Thanks!
So glad they have a wood burning stove in the room. This place is off the beaten path. Stay in town if you want more action.

pool and jacuzzi. close to shops and a bar. Beautiful location, perfect base before heading across Yosemite.
Room was lovely, spacious and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Lighting by the mirror was way too dim and had problems with internet. Breakfast was good. Good location.
Really great stay in Mammoth - affordable hotel, quiet, very clean, and in a great location. We really enjoyed the modern updates of the rooms. Regarding location, the hotel is great if you want to walk around Mammoth - very centrally located. I also liked the mobile check in at the desk - especially as we checked in via peak period. Highly recommend! Great value.
Great location. Except for a grumpy guest relations clerk, we had a great stay. Beware of the platform bed frames, they bite your shins! Loved the indoor pool and jacuzzi. There is a day spa onsite, unfortunately, we didn't have time to use it.
We love staying here when we’re in Mammoth. A few years ago when it was still a Best Western we stayed for our first time. It’s not as pricey as some of the lodges and it’s far better than the Motel 6 nearby (we’ve stayed there too). We love he breakfast service and the rooms are quite spacious and always clean.
Very nice updated hotel. I loved the wooden barn doors instead of curtains. Breakfast was really good.

Had an overall great experience. We stayed in the cabin with 6 beds. Right next to the bathroom and short distance to the showers. My toddler enjoyed the office unit full of games and things for her to color! The games definitely needed to be refurbished (so if you want to donate anything, I’m sure they would be grateful). The office staff were polite and helpful. The showers were clean, and had hot...
This place was amazing. This review is actually a bit late. We camped here last month, July. Just an overnight stay. But man, oh man! So many bear sightings! It was pretty epic. The staff was amazing from the start. Joked around with us, made us feel welcomed. They came to our campsite to to discuss Billy the bear. We spotted him breaking into a cooler at a neighboring campsite and alerted staff. But...

5 Star Hospitality. Super helpful staff regarding early check in, changing rooms, and overall. Hotel still under construction for remodel. Excited to return when it’s final. Comfortable bed. Pet friendly.
They just reopened! Newly renovated and updated. Stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend. Originally booked for 3 nights, the hotel was so incredible, had to book a 4th night. Nice location, decent rooms, hot shower and friendly staff. Not much else you can ask for. The underground parking is a nice touch and the breakfast was really good.My new "go to" place to stay in Mammoth
The building and lobby gave great vibes and a really cozy feel, and they served a decently good, healthy breakfast, but the rooms weren't too special. They were comfortable, and the stay was nice, but not amazing.
We didn't stay here BUT We had the best service by front desk staff whose name is Dori. She helped us with finding an ADA accessible room in the nabouring hotels. Thank you Dori! You are the Best.
It is a decent room for Mammoth. The floor was a little wet, not sure if It was from wet ski attire or what, but it definitely had a dampness. Could be upgraded to make it a bit nicer. This is our 2nd time staying here. We brought essential oils to help the room smell fresh. It smelled like they used too much chemical based cleaner. They offer breakfast in the morning and have an indoor pool/spa,...
Clean rooms. Solid breakfast. 24 hour coffee. Underground parking. A PERFECT Mammoth weekend stay.
I stay here a lot. I love to snowboard and I want maximum days on the snow. The Qual is the place for me. Not too expensive and good enough. Free breakfast, Jacuzzi and covered parking , close to everything. If you are about lots of days this place is a gem

Clean, cozy, friendly and helpful staff. Beds were a little too soft but overall not bad. Pool looked ok. Jacuzzi was big and clean. The jets were more like fountains. We will use this hotel again!!
The mattress in our room was so uncomfortable one night I got almost no sleep. The bathtub was wonderful, very deep and relaxing. The pool was empty. The hot tub was huge, that was nice. We had a fireplace room. It had a fridge, stovetop, toaster, microwave and dishes/cookware. I feel like I spent way too much money for a place that was just alright. They front desk could have offered us more information...
I enjoyed the rustic, historical feel of this place. It has a lot of charm. Its small bar area was cozy and the friendly bartender was very informative. It is not ultra modern which I truly liked. It has the spirit of skiers from decades ago lingering in its wood frame. The rooms were decent size, with our room having a microwave, refrigerator, and a safe. I was a bit skeptical after reading the past reviews but I stayed here for three days and I had zero issues. The staff was great and receptive. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned and there was ample parking space too.
We were worried about the bad reviews. However, our room was clean and spacious. They are currently going through renovations so the spa and recreation room weren't available. They are offering a grab-n-go breakfast and coffee in the morning. Overall it was a good experience.
I was concerned because hotel had poor reviews. These must have been old. I found the rooms to be fine. Great mattress. Adequate lighting. Table and two chairs. Good fridge and MV. Hotel was not high end, but very adequate for our stay. Hot drinks and bag breakfast in the morning was appreciated. I would not hesitate to stay again.
This was our first time here. Besides the building being outdated, our stay was superb! The staff was inviting and friendly. The owner and his wife are hard working and kind. We enjoyed a soak in the hot tub after a long day out and about. The beds are EXCELLENT! Probably the best I have ever slept in. The coffee always fresh and hot in the lobby. We will be back! We are excited to visit again and...
For a 2 star hotel, it’s more than I expected. It’s an older hotel. The staff was very friendly. The king room was small but clean. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The coffee in the lobby was fresh and good. They don’t have fancy amenities but for the price it was perfect for us

Snowboarding in May, who would have thought 😁. Had a great experience at the Mammoth Mountain Inn. I find it very decadent to be able to walk a few feet from your room and you are at the Gondola or at the Chairlift. The staff are friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back next season.
Accommodations are fair, could definitely use some updating but the proximity to the mountain is great for getting right out on the mountain. Only complaint is that at 7:30am, they started snow removal on the roof. When we brought this to management, they said there was nothing that could be done, this needed to happen at this time of day. Would not recommend staying here if sleep is important to you
Three reasons to stay here: ski in/out, parking (if you could find an indoor spot), pets are allowed. You have to care about nothing else to stay here, as the whole property should have been torn down and rebuilt 20 years ago… okay 10 years ago. It might have been a good accommodation at some point early in the resorts life but it certainly had lived on way beyond its shelf life. The main building...

This is where I stay if I'm doing a backpacking trip in Mammoth. Location is about 1 mile from the top of Red's Meadow Rd. In summer you can walk out to the shuttle. we chose this hotel because it had a loveseat and king bed, a hot tub and continental breakfast. Arrived to find three flights of stairs without elevator. Generous room, furnishings a bit too well used, vit beds are comfortable nonetheless. Good location in the middle of the town. The description says breakfast would be included, but we could not find, where this would be served. Maybe some signs would be helpful.
Hotel is very nice and o a nice location. Room is big, clean and the staff is friendly. Only thing is that the hotel is a bit dated and the laundrymat in the hotel does not work properly. In any case i can recommend this hotel. We booked the 2 room suite and it was perfect for our group! Almost too much space for us but it was perfect! Room was clean, big and lots of good amenities above and beyond a motel. The only thing was that the heater was too hot, we didn't know how to turn it down so we had to crack open the windows. But that wasn't a deal breaker.
Stay was amazing! Rooms give you everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay in mammoth. Would highly recommend this quiet lodge to anyone that is coming into the area. It is also an extremely easy walk to the village for food and fun.
Older building, but surprisingly the room was very up to date. Nice TV in the room an above average size refrigerator. Very clean room. Very comfortable beds. Staff was polite and nice. One thing to be aware of is, like most establishments in the area there was no elavator so pack accordingly. Breakfast was basic. Overall I would stay here again.

Very nice apartment, well equiped, close to the center. Check in and check out were really easy. Retro style but we found the interior very charming. Bathroom is a bit old though but overall we really enjoyed our stay.
We had Cabin 3. It was very cozy. Bedrooms were small but all that was really needed. Love the Old School feel. Great parking! Right next to the steps. We had an issue with the heater but it was resolved quickly! Thank you for a great time!
