Hyatt Regency Minneapolis
Minneapolis, 1300 Nicollet Mall 🧭 Map
I stay here for Anime Detour every year since they began hosting it. Rooms are always clean and staff is always friendly. Not only do I like being on site for the convention, I also just really enjoy this building. The layout now gives me feelings of nostalgia that took a bit to obtain as our crowd got used to the new location. Love that so many restaurants and shopping are in walking distance!
Stayed here for Convergence. Very pleasant faux fancy hotel. Our room was quiet and well appointed. Wish the microwave was in the room, not down the hall. The elevators were unable to keep up with the convention traffic. The staff was nice and we were able to get carts for check in and check out with some effort. Parking wasn’t cheap bit also wasn’t too complicated.
Dining review - breakfast was great! I didn't stay at Hyatt, I stayed across the street but would come to Hyatt for a great breakfast buffet.
I enjoyed the upscale feel of the dining area and the food presentation.
There were a lot of great options to choose from and a little extra with delicious smoothies and juice shots.
One minus - I didn't get to experience any service at all, no one came to...
Rooms were clean and open. Gym and pool are amazing. The lobby is huge and the staff is very kind. I highly recommend this place. The location is also near several restaurants. The only issue is that everything inside the hotel is really expensive such as the restaurant and crepe store. Overall a great hotel.
I have stayed here for years for a conference. The conference center and rooms are great. The actual hotel rooms are clean and warm compared to the harsh Minnesota weather. I stayed warm with lots of pillows and blankets. I moved four pillows from the other queen bed to my bed and had eight pillows. I slept in a pillow fort both nights.
Typical Hyatt experience. Comfortable with excellent service and great amenities. Staff are friendly, helpful, and courteous. The rooms are cozy and clean. The walls are a bit thin and I wish the bathrooms were a bit bigger. Directly connected to skyway and right next to the convention center makes this super convenient. Overall, a nice place to stay at for business or leisure.

Marriott never disappoints, and Minneapolis City center was no exception. My room was clean and comfortable. The staff at the front desk and bar were friendly & helpful and the hotel is in a great, walkable location. I had a short but very nice stay.
I want to share an amazing story about George Glover and how he goes above and beyond for Marriott guests. I was recently at the hotel for a work meeting. I needed to purchase some items at the Target center, but learned the walkway was closed. I shared by dilemma with George and he quickly provided a solution. He gave me his winter coat and personally escorted me to the Target. I was so grateful...
I have never experienced such bad service at a hotel. I was in shock at the comments that were made by the staff. We went there for a friend's birthday and the room was supposed to be a gift. The front desk staff blurted out how much I paid for the room and stated the he would never pay that much for room for just one night. I was so embarrassed and couldn't understand why he'd make us feel like that...
Room was spotless and very nice. Excellent front desk staff. A little tricky parking in the ramp and finding the lobby. Bar/restaurant was actually pretty good, and prices were not outrageous. Would stay again.
I stayed at the Marriott for a Convention. My room was very comfortable and the staff took care of my every need. The food was good, and the choices plentiful. I loved walking around the neighborhood - we discovered Mary Tyler Moore's statue, a great old fashioned candy store. It was very interesting. I had a great time and a very comfortable stay.
The hotel was nice but the loud music to 2am from a local outdoor venue, and the sirens as well, made it hard to sleep. We said something about this and were told that the venue had been cited for noise but it was continuing.
We did have a nice breakfast buffet and Jean was an amazing waiter.
Hopefully the local venue issue gets resolved soon...

I had a really great stay at this hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. A special thanks goes out to the Wood + Paddle Eatery for their kindness and generosity. It was my birthday weekend and their hostess Lolo comped our whole meal. She was very attentive and friendly. I also want to thank Ireony Farmer at the front desk. She was very helpful, friendly, and amazing. I would definitely recommend...
Nice place and not far from convention center. Nice area, great places to eat in walking distance, public transportation easy to get and free to Minneapolis Convention center (on the right bus - in Oct 2023 was bus 10). Drops you right off in front.
Lovely hotel. Our room was very clean and nicely appointed. Great size too. The tub in the bathroom made for a nice bath. Jalial was awesome when checking us in - very friendly and chatty and gave us some certificates for the restaurant/bar when we told him it was our anniversary - made sure we had a nice room with a good city view. Only complaints are that the bed is a little overly firm and it’s...
This hotel is in a great location for downtown events. About a 10 min walk to watch a Twins game. The room was clean & spacious. The shower turn off was a little hard and the water wasn't all that hot. A magnifying mirror would also come in handy. The bed was very comfy. We loved the sheets. Parking is at a public parking lot attached to the property. See the front desk for a bit of a discounted...
This is a beautiful hotel. Worth every penny for the stay. Our original room didn't open due to a dead battery in the deadbolt and we were upgraded immediately to a nicer room on the 16th floor with a great view of downtown Minneapolis. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Royal Sonesta staff.
First time visitor. Excellent experience. Loved the bar and restaurant. Got together with friends. It was great to catch up
Safe location. Rooms was clean, comfortable, and spacious. I will stay a this hotel on Every trip to Minneapolis

The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms were a little dated, and I had a view of the roof parking lot even though the description of the room said i would have a view of the city. All i could see was the parking lot and the two nearby building walls. I would still recommend it. It's within walking distance from a lot of attractions, I was able to walk to the library and then to the sculpture garden...
We had a great stay! The room was nice and clean. Our front desk attendant was very accommodating. Our room was not ready yet so he placed us in a temporary room until ours was ready so we would have a place to store our bags. The location was perfect. It's in the heart of downtown. We were there to go to the U.S. Bank stadium. There are lots of places to eat. The scenery is absolutely beautiful! I...
Liked the hotel and the location was great. Staff is super nice. Sucks they didn't have a bar or food. You could buy cereal and milk out of plastic container. Ended up across the street at another Hotel..Marriott I think. Awesome brunch and great to grab a quick coffee and bite before starting the day. Had to wait 10 minutes between toilet flushes and house keeping never came in for 3 days. No biggie...
Business trip from Toronto, stayed for a few nights and loved the atmosphere the hotel was going for. Stayed at the bar for a while. Great music with an awesome DJ. I reccomend the Cucumber gimlet. Would definitely stay here again.
Great location in Southwest downtown. Just across from Orchestra Hall, and just a 10-minute walk from Target Center. The room we had was a good size, clean, and well-stocked with all the things one could want in a mid-range hotel. The service was great. Upon learning it was my birthday, the house gave my wife and I free appetizers at the bar!
This is a wonderfully updated hotel in downtown Minneapolis. The rooms are spacious and the food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious. However, the service is what puts this hotel over the top. I have never experienced more exceptional service from a hotel before - they do everything in their power to ensure your stay is comfortable and you are well taken care of. Even if the hotel were lesser...

Embassy Suites By Hilton Minneapolis Downtown Hotel
Minneapolis, 12 Sixth Street South 🧭 Map
The staff is really friendly and accommodating. The hotel rooms themselves are roomy and stylish. The breakfast buffet is delicious with an omelet station and the little evening reception is fun. The pool is nice but small. It is a great value for downtown Minneapolis. Parking is a bit of a pain and expensive but that's pretty much the norm for downtown. This is our favorite family hotel downtown.
Best embassy we have stayed at. Super clean, completely renovated. All employees are friendly and helpful that we have dealt with.
Great bean dip at the reception. The only downside is parking is 40 bucks a night.
Lyon's pub and Manny's steakhouse directly next door. Kiddy corner is gay 90s and a few strip clubs. Super close to Target Center.
PARKING INFO BELOW.
Got a 2 bed suite. Oversized. Room was a bit dirty
PARKING. says $40 valet, there are Target center ramps for $12-15 you can use and walk through the sky way
Gym is nice, no hot tub or sauna.
Room keys don't work every now and then
Breakfast was really jammed up. Pretty good tasting though.
Social hour is nice. Unlimited drinks and little snacks
Beautiful, tasteful, updated remodel. Rooms are huge. Newly renovated and clean. Everything worked. Very comfy bed. Comfy pillows. Breakfast was awesome. Happy hour is always a bonus staying at Embassy!
Only thing that keeps it from 5 stars, small pool, no hot tub. If those aren't a concern I would say book this hotel!
Great hotel. Bed was huge and comfy. Bathroom was spacious clean and the shower head had strong water pressure.
Breakfast was good. Had lots to choose from and views from the eating area. Staff was friendly as well.
Managers reception is always a big hit!
Right next door to Lyons Pub through a door connected in the hotel.
38 for valet parking for the night is a bit much but they were quick getting...

8.16.24: We flew up for my aunt's funeral and stayed here the night before we flew home. I wish we'd gotten to stay longer, because this hotel is absolutely beautiful!
I was in room 1116, and had an incredible view of the airport; even though we were so close that I could see people through the airplane windows, we never heard the plane engines - the soundproofing in these rooms is incredible!
The...
This hotel was immaculate! We had a room with a view of the airplanes taking off on the runway. I loved being able to watch them outside of our window. The hotel room was very cleanly and the bathroom had a glass shower that was decent size. The soaps they give you smelled so good too. The downstairs bar/restaurant was nice to go to after a long day. It’s convenient to the airport and has a shuttle...
Amazing hotel. Not only is it very affordable, but the experience is borderline luxury. Airport view was amazing, nice and clean rooms with noise cancelling glass, and very spacious bathrooms. Shuttles leave every 20 minutes to the airport which makes travel way easier and less stressful. Front desk was super nice, very quality hotel.
Stayed for 1 night before my early a.m. flight. Clean, modern and easy to get to. Self-parking (pay) in the garage is easy and a few steps across the street from the hotel.
Room service was very fast, and the food/drink were good.
If I'd been staying longer, I would've liked to enjoy some of the other amenities. My room was comfortable with a view of a runway, so that was cool.
The rooms are spacious and the amenities are great. Very comfortable beds.
Free shuttle service to the airport was super convenient.

W Minneapolis - The Foshay
Minneapolis, 821 Marquette Avenue 🧭 Map
Beautiful Hotel, hotel staff where amazing people with great personalities . Helpful, kind, and courteous. The wonderful Expresso machine had no instructions nor a way to decipher what flavor was what flavor. The soap in which we were to use for a shower or to wash your hands did not have the best smell a little too strong for my opinion. Maybe something a man would like. The hotel staff made the...
The room was relatively small. By itself, this isn't much of an issue, but be forewarned, if you are sharing the room with someone, there is no way of locking/fully shutting the bathroom door, nor any sort of active ventilation like a fan. There wasn't any sort of mini-fridge in the room - which was surprising - but they were quick to offer bringing up one the second we mentioned it was odd. Finally...
Despite being part of the Marriott Bonvoy program for many years, this the first time I stayed in a hotel of their W brand, and the experience was great. Service was excellent during my stay both in the front desk and in the Prohibition Bar. The hotel is well-located, close to many eateries and attractions downtown. However, what most impressed me was the Foshay's design. I love hotels that have an...
My go to hotel when coming to Minneapolis for work. Friendly staff. Love the bar. Manny's, the restaurant connected is extremely good, though very expensive. The steak sandwich is the best I've had in my life. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Will definitely be back.
We were welcomed by a line of people clapping for us and offering us champagne. It was nice, but very unexpected. The rooms and decor throughout the hotel are very modern, and the rainfall shower was wonderful. The bar on the 27th floor, Prohibition, might be cool but they wouldn't let my friend in without removing his hat (a knit beanie). We didn't know there was a dress code to drink at our hotel...
The W Foshay is a lovely hotel. We are staying in a "fantastic" king suite. Very spacious living area, separate bedroom, and huge bathroom, including a nice soaking tub with a city view, and a separate rain shower. Very nice Body Bliss amenities. My only negative feedback is towards the bed. Definitely not a Heavenly bed! The location is perfect. Lots of shopping and restaurants all around. Also near...

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Husband and I spent a night here right after our wedding, and the entire experience was wonderful. Location is prime within walking distance to lots of awesome restaurants. Room was clean, comfy, and very stylish. It was large with a whole seating area, huge shower, and I loved the decor! Great staff and service. 10/10 would recommend. We will be staying...
love the chambers in Minneapolis, even better than the nyc location - great rooftop bar, awesome clientele and generous sized rooms
Artsy/fancy hotel. WiFi is not free (even though listed next to bath towels on the TripAdvisor website) unless you're an SPG member (which is free). Fridge in my room didn't work. A/C when it switched on/off sounded like someone in the room clicking a 3-ring binder closed. Shower flow was barely reasonable. The place was otherwise very cool and the staff was great. Sadly, there was enough to make me...
Best hotel downtown Minneapolis, everything was fabulous as soon as I stepped in the door. It was my birthday and they made me feel so welcomed. I was treated with royalty like a celebrity. The front desk was awesome. Very knowledgeable as well. I want to go back and stay again just because they were so great to me.
This is a great hotel in central Minneapolis. Great decor with an artistic feel. Room was spacious and the packed mini bar was very tempting. The only small issue is that there is no parking at the hotel, but there is a public parking garage very close by.
Modern rooms with heated floor bathrooms! Nice staff that welcomed me with hot chocolate & Bailey's when I checked in. Only downside is the restaurant (Mercy) was open but never staffed in the morning when I went in to get breakfast, so I ended up going elsewhere to eat.

Overall it was good. Our room was comfortable. The fridge wasn't turned on and had mold in it and the public coffee bar was absolutely disgusting. I warmed up some food and was kind of poking around looking at stuff and all the drawers were full of suger mess and coffee stains. Most were so old they were faded. That was really gross. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay. Very quiet and the guy who checked...
I went into breakfast room with out shoes. Lady in there said I needed shoes. I missed this as the sign didn't mention, the hours on the card didn't say and maybe it's normal to wear shoes everywhere in a hotel but before coffee I'm not always aware if I have shoes. But definitely decided not going back in with shoes. Lady in room was not rude or anything she was probably just following protocol....
This place was exactly the best you can expect from this chain. The rooms were clean and offered acceptable bedding and comfort. There were plenty of towels. The breakfast was okay, though I stuck to the things you can't mess up like packaged yogurt, cereal, and bread. The shuttle was a very helpful service while I was there. The only drawbacks were the slow draining bathtub that left me in water up...
Beds were comfy, location was convenient. Shuttle service was great, driver friendly and helpful. Room was clean temp control worked well. Bathroom small, no pool or hot tub were only downside. They allowed us to leave our vehicle at hotel for a few extra hours after checkout.
Very good customer service and staff. Rooms are nice. Wish they renovated the bathtubs they're a bit squeaky and old.
Room was very serviceable if all you need is a place to sleep. Bed was comfy, but room could stand a few minor updates for the price, such as new carpet and softer water. Staff was great and breakfast was pretty good food at the buffet and well stocked.

Places like these are hard to find. Beautiful establishment with great vibes. Excellent food, polite and warm waitstaff. We went for the Lobster Fest and it exceeded our expectations. Our waiter was great, helpful, and very very nice. He had a cool accent that added to the fanciness of the evening.

Wonderful service: professional yet friendly and approachable. Delicious food. And the setting is beautiful and relaxed. Go here with a fun group or have a romantic dinner for two. Either way, you'll have a memorable time.
This is one of the best places in Minneapolis to eat. The food was amazing, and the staff was very attentive and personable. The owners came to our table and thanked us for coming. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Thank you for a great night. Our family enjoyed all of it. We will be back again.
We went there for our wedding reception and it was PERFECT! This historic establishment met and exceeded our expectations. We had a private room. The waiter was top notch. Great central location to several surrounding rinks. We stayed with our girls hockey team and the hotel was very accommodating. Very friendly staff.
Location is great, staff was friendly and helpful, hotel was adequate, breakfast was mediocre, (except the pancake machine, which was a big hit with the kids), and the pool was really cold!
Excellent customer service! The room was nice and comfortable too. Convenient location:) We will definitely stay here again in the future.
Thank you! Terry(the lady in charge with the breakfast) sweet and gentle to talk to. Mason (Hotel manager) very helpful and friendly. The whole staff was so helpful, we got everything we asked for. (extra towels, mouth wash and more) .
