This was a great hotel, I loved the location the pools you could tell they only focused on the main big pool but the other two little indoor pools were ok, they have a few splash pads for little ones. One thing I also enjoyed was the pier, you can fish on it or you can walk around, enjoy the view and sit on the benches. One thing that I didn't like was the putt putt or mini golf was that it was really dirty and not well maintained, and the water around the holes were dirty and were mosquito breading grounds. Also if you are an aviation geek like me you will love this place because it's near the airport so planes are coming in to land right over your head and the helicopters from helicopter rides fly and turn at the pier so you see both. Other than the putt putt I really enjoyed staying here

When I think of Hilton, I think nice hotels. This was the worst resort I ever stayed in. The carpet was so dirty, and because this was a pet friend resort, the dog urine was so strong in the room, that we requested to be moved to another room. The other room had the same issues, just not the dog urine smell.
The bathroom was very old. There was one cloth chair that was in the room, the chair was so dirty, that I did not sit in it. The furniture was very old and run down. I was really done when I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and turned on the light and a big roach was crawling up the wall. I woke my husband up to kill this roach. Did not want the roach to get in our things and bring home with us! Holiday Inn made the reservations for us, so we could do a timeshare presentation with them. We were there for three nights, if I had booked this hotel as my vacation spot, I would of demanded a refund the first day I stepped in that nasty room. Still going to call corporate to see if I can get back what I did pay to stay there.

This resort is horrible and quite frankly should not be considered a “resort.” The room layout is terrible and some parts of the room reek of body odor. In order to use the bathroom sink in our room you must shut the bathroom door and the shower fixtures were loose and not attached to anything so they wiggled in place.
Parking at the DoubleTree Resort was anything but a pleasant experience. You might as well park in the first open spot you come across because the parking structure is a nightmare and doesn’t have enough parking for guests. Dead-ends with no real turnarounds, dumpsters in parking spots and concrete pillars between spots make navigating the lot absolutely horrible.
The lazy river must be referring to the amount of effort put into the construction of the lazy river because there were only four tubes available and the river couldn’t have been more than 30 ft long.
This is definitely a feature for children due to the size so don’t expect it to be anything remotely close to a water parks lazy river. The pool was also tiny, dirty and over chlorinated.
Even though they make it look like you will be right by the pier with the Ferris wheel, you won’t be. You will be at the very end of Ocean Blvd so expect to walk or grab a ride share if you didn’t rent or bring your own vehicle. If we were to redo this vacation we would get rooms at a different location to not only save some money and frustration but to get closer to the action on Ocean Blvd.

Very boisterous and family/kids friendly establishment. A lot of fun things to do in and around the facility. Located in prime real estate just off the beach. All rooms appear to have, (especially the room I lodged in) balconies in full view of the beach. The in-house restaurant was good and I found staff to be friendly, courteous and very polite. Shout out to Susan. B at the front desk 👍. However, the facility does appear dated. Was informed the establishment is scheduled for a detailed update.

This is one of my favorite hotels at Myrtle Beach. The hotel is huge but easy to get around. The beach area is probably one of the best around and there aren’t any rude or disruptive people around.
The rooms, however, are in desperate need of a remodel. The TVs are 32”, the beds are cheap frames (the mattresses aren’t too bad), and there are no bathtubs. The south part of the hotel is located directly under a flight path so you’ll get a lot of commercial planes flying above you at a low attitude.
We checked in on a Saturday at 5pm and had to wait in a long line (apparently there was some sort of bus convention going on and they all showed up at once). Our room wasn’t ready so we had to wait at the bar for 20 minutes but then had to wait in the long line again. And there is a $50 per resort fee we didn’t know about.
The few cons are outweighed by the many pros. The staff is friendly. You can text them for almost anything and it’ll be done within minutes. We didn’t go out to the pool (after all there’s an ocean 100’ away) but it looks clean and maintained.

If your an Honors member, very easy checkin and stay with App. Was able to checkin early. Low key, relaxed. 👍👍

Hilton Diamond member so I stay at a lot of Hilton brand hotels. Location is great if you are looking for a hotel really close to airport and close enough to get to central Myrtle beach activities but not be stuck in the middle of it all. View from room was great and being right on beach was also a plus. Staff was friendly and I was able to get checked in a bit early although their text notification process didn’t work to let me know a room was ready. Restaurant on site is good and worth a meal or two during your stay.
I am not sure there is any amount of cleaning that could make the outdated rooms feel cleaner. In other words I think the rooms were as clean as they possibly can be and this hotel needs renovations badly. You had to slam our door to get it to close and if you weren’t paying attention when you left your room would be open. Grout in showers was missing, carpets were nasty, etc. At the time of this review I am having to request the hotel apply my daily credits for being a Diamond member. If you read any of my other reviews you can see I am not a fan of this new daily credit BS. They do not have a market place anymore where you can grab a quick drink or snack close to reception. They do have a “surf shop” that was on the other side of the property from where our room was.
In conclusion, It wasn’t the worst stay I have had but I will be shopping around at the other Hilton properties when we return.

Beautiful oceanfront room with patio. Simply gorgeous! We walked the beach and watched the night sky. The bar area was so fun. Had drinks and watched football! Sunday morning we enjoyed the incredible omelette from the amazing chef! He was a joy to talk to and made us the very best omelette! Fruit was delicious! Breakfast prices were way too expensive but really enjoyed!

I read many of the reviews and overall it seemed like it would be worth the money. Nope. Rooms are terribly outdated and carpet is gross. Shower does not work properly. You can only get half of the water to come out from the faucet into the shower head, therefore you get very low water pressure to take a shower. When you try to pull up on valve to get the water flowing into the shower head, it makes a god awful noise. The view is probably what you're paying the high prices for. It is on the beach and there is the pier. Lobby is nice with the bar and restaurant. Front desk staff are lovely and the cookie is decadent.
This is a pet friendly hotel, and unfortunately not all dog owners have consideration for others at a hotel, and let them bark at late hours when people are trying to sleep.
For the amount of money I was charged, I was highly disappointed in this Hilton. It is not the standards I am used to and have come to expect from a Hilton.
If you're going to spend close to 300+ a night, I would consider somewhere else.

The Double Tree Resort by Hilton is a large property but it feels like home. The rooms are spacious with beautiful ocean views. The rates were affordable.
Multiple pools to accommodate large amounts of guests - even an indoor pool as well as a fitness facility. It is the prime location if you like to be within reach of all the Myrtle Beach strip action but far enough away that you have peace and quiet by the pool.
The beach is just steps from the rooms and they provide towels too. And as mentioned, that part of the beach is quiet and less crowded.
The hotel staff is some of the friendliest we've encountered. Very accommodating and also offer great suggestions to help you enjoy and navigate the area.
The only downside to the property is that the landing pattern for jets coming into the airport go right over the southern-most part of the hotel. But you don't notice after the first day.
We would definitely stay there again and can't wait to see all the new upgrades to the property we were told would be coming.
