Cedar Point Hotel Breakers
Sandusky, One Cedar Point Drive 🧭 Map
Being at the pool and beach, I truly had the feeling of being on vacation! The hotel property is beautiful with a lot of great outdoor seating! The atmosphere is wonderful for a great family getaway!!
I’ve been staying at Breakers for over a decade, and always have a wonderful time. The proximity to both parks, the beach, and being able to go back to the room throughout the day to relax/change etc makes it worth the hefty price. However, there needs to be better communication between the front desk and housekeeping. I just got back from a 2 night stay where I paid extra money to utilize late checkout...
We have been to Breakers several times and we love it there. The area is beautiful and it is so convenient to Cedar Point. However, this time was a little disappointing. We booked a suite in the East section because that is all they had left. The room and location were great but the couch had stains all over it YUK!!!! The pull out sofa was old and Rickety and gross looking and it was super...
Rooms surprisingly quiet. Comfortable beds. Hard working staff. Very convenient park access. Nice amenities: multiple pools, restaurants, and beach. We have been to park many times and this is the first we stayed at Hotel Breakers. Glad we did.
This place is a must if you are going to Cedar Point and/or the beach. Easy access to the park on the Magnum entrance and the perk of 1 hr early access to the park. Plenty of room choices to fit your taste and budget. You can obtain your fast passes and drink passes if you purchased online, at the hotel gift shop. It's quick and easy. They have restaurants on-site but are a little pricey but to be...
My family and I have been staying here for the last 3 Years...five or take! We stay here 3 times a year and love it! We were there before the big renovations and now we love it more! We are close to the park, we have a wide variety of restaurants to eat during our stay, we have a great view of the lake and beach fun during the summer, along with many other benefits! The rooms are always clean and the...

I have been here twice for sports events. Super nice and accommodating staff. Rooms were nice and modern and clean. Standard accommodations. Parking is easy/free and there is a great place to hang out in the lobby area with friends ( teammates). Nothing walkable but there a delivery options. The rooms are also relatively sound proof which is nice during a tourney weekend. Good planning on the part...
I have stayed at the Cedar Point Express Hotel multiple times this summer and every time their staff impresses me. They are extremely polite and helpful. The hotel is always clean and nice. I actually prefer staying here that at Castaway Bay which is just too dang loud. The only thing I would recommend is that the rooms have smart TV's that you can watch your streaming channels on but that is a minor...
Staff was friendly and helpful, fast check-in, had all of the essentials for our weekend stay. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable (although no comforters on the beds, top sheet and blanket only). Free coffee in the lobby would have been nice but there was a small coffee-maker in the room. The under 5 min drive to Cedar Point was great. We spent most our time at CP, only coming back to our room...
Only stayed here for 1 night but everything was awesome for me. Check in was very quick, and the girl at the front desk was kind and helpful. My two small children ages 3 and 6 loved the little splash pad outside! The only thing I thought was weird was there was no fitted sheet on the bed, just a regular sheet draped over. But my room was clean so that's not something to deduct a star in my eyes.
For being the cheapest option in the cedar point group, this hotel was excellent! The lobby had fast and easy service with comfy couches and tables. They have plenty of luggage carts and elevators. The true courtyard had a great pool and splash area for kids open late, and super nice seating that we ate, played games, and drank at. The rooms were clean and have fridges with small freezer on top, good...
Bring your own blanket.and yes, the queen beds aren't really queen beds, but it was clean. Youre not staying in the hotel for the glamour when youre opening and closing the amusement park.

My husband and I planned this impromptu visit to as something fun to do for our kids winter break. They are 10 and 7 years old. We’ve never been to Great Wolf Lodge before, and they loved every second of our stay there! The water park was lots of fun, and the arcade was large compared to most places. The room was very clean and staff were very nice and helpful! The hot tub was not open during our...
Me and my family had a really good time! I don't really have any complaints. I can definitely see myself bringing the family again. We got the unlimited breakfast both mornings and it was very tasty. The rooms were clean. And had enough amenities. My only real complaint is that the pillows in the rooms weren't very good. Small complaint really. But they could really use some more comfy pillows. Quiet...
I will definitely be returning. ALL employees were extremely nice and helpful. Special shout out to the greeter in the lobby. Everything was clean. There’s a water park and I didn’t see a drop of water in the bathrooms and hallways. Items were reasonably priced, you expect to pay a little more than usual at places like this. There was so much to do. We only stayed one night, but were able to visit...
Check in line is quite long, but processing is very quick. We arrived 2 pm and was able to get our suite. Staff are generally quite friendly. Hotel room is clean and bunker bed is very unique. Bathroom is a little small, but manageable. Water parking area is great, with small kids area, hot tub, swimming play area, main splash structure, 8 different sizes of water slides. Kids enjoyed the time and...
I cannot recommend this vacation enough!! My daughter is 7 and had so much fun! They have a ton of activities that include the entire family! Magi Quest was a great break from swimming. The evening dance parties were the perfect way to end the day! The staff are amazing! The pizza from Hungry like a wolf was the perfect budget friendly dinner and it was delicious! We forgot the get the refillable drink...
I cannot say enough good things about this place! We definitely got our money's worth! It is entirely kid-centered with so many FREE events happening while you're there! Another fun side to it was we didn't check in until 4 pm, but we could access the water park at 1 pm. And when we checked out at 11 am, we were allowed to stay all day! My kids laughed and smiled and wore themselves out. My only complaint...

It is a beautiful and convenient hotel. You can find both indoor and outdoor swimming pools. All places are value for taking pictures. Free parking lot makes our trip easier
Our room was VERY clean & modern. The mattress was very comfortable. Did not have a hair dryer in the room so not sure if you have to request one but I'm used to going somewhere that I don't need to pack a hair dryer. The restaurant had a very nice atmosphere but ran out of food after 9 so people that we knew that were staying there weren't able to get a meal. We had to wait an hour for a cheese...
We had an amazing experience. Rooms new and nice. Had live music in the lobby. The best part of our one night stay was the bar, the bartenders there are 5 star. Some of the best drinks I've had made, just enjoyable to talk with. Straight shot to the park, highly recommended.
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Sawmill Creek. The renovations they did are amazing. Rooms were very nice, clean, beds were comfortable and pool area was beautiful. The main restaurant won't open until end of August but we knew that ahead of time and it was a non issue, as we have a couple of favorite restaurants in the area. We cannot wait to visit again!
My wife and I stayed here for three nights for our cedar point honeymoon. We loved it. They had everything we needed at check in for our cedar point visits (parking, early entry, etc). Unlike what was mentioned in previous reviews, the hotel did not seem understaffed at all, and the pool was open (and great!). The fitness center has all the basics for a strength or cardio workout. The breakfast buffet...
We were excited to stay here after the renovations. Rooms and lobby are very nice, but they just weren’t quite ready for guests which very much detracted from the stay. Pros: beds and pillows were quite comfortable. All the staff we encountered were quite nice. Drinks were cold and well made. Cons: we were unable to get any lunch or dinner at the resort. The Mulligan pub is opened, but the cooks...

First time going there, and the whole family loved it. It's a pretty big place from end to end. The water park has multiple different areas and a lot of slides. The games were a bit pricey but the game room is decent size. Indoor miniature golf and half alley bowling as well but a bit pricey like I said for the little bit of time you spend doing it. Enjoyed the Quaker Steak restaurant with the family...
5 stars for the water park area ,the arcade(Ben was Awesome), the Starbucks, the gift shop and the reception. The steal drum band were so kind and awesome. The breakfast was good. They obviously heat a majority of the food. I’m Sure the bacon and eggs were prepared on site. Everything else probably comes in and gets heated up. I say this after working in hotel food and beverage management. Not that...
Stayed here for a quick overnight on our road trip. Definitely a smaller waterpark and even smaller when a few of the slides aren't operating. Witnessed a few lifeguards sleeping on duty in a chair by the hot tub - not cool. The remodel looks great and the theme throughout the resort is consistent. Good place for young kids, not too much for the teens/adults in your party. Due to convenience and...
Went from Wednesday-Friday for a Cedar Point trip with friends. We had stayed there previously and were excited to see the new renovations. Upon arrival to pick up our parking pass and Cedar Point tickets at around 8:30AM, we were greeted by Jada, who was very kind and helpful with the process. She also checked to see if our room was ready and even though check-in wasn't until 4:00PM, she was able...
Great rooms, clean facilities, and very friendly staff. Everyone we encountered was phenomenally nice and I want to give them credit for that! The water park is nice- on the small side but that’s actually what we wanted. Very comfy beds. There was a slight wait for our room to be ready but that’s common these days with staffing issues. Just be aware and plan ahead. They’ll let you use the water park...

My family and I stayed two nights in a Family Suite through Groupon and got exactly what was anticipated. We were told all large slides were not operational but I have small kids (all under 5) so it wasn't a big deal. Waterpark was great for small kids and lazy river was large. Room with two bunks was perfect and clean enough. Nothing bad about the beds, sheets, carpet etc. The owners have a huge...
The staff was wonderful, our room was clean and service was prompt. The adult slides at the park were down during my family’s visit, but I’d rather the slide be down until fully repaired than to have one of my family members harmed. The front desk staff was very professional, welcoming and helpful. Will definitely return. Great place if you have younger children, older ones may become bored, but they...
New owners and investors are working very hard to bring this hotel and water park back to a great attraction. There's a lot of time and expense that needs put in yet. That being said it was as clean as most other hotels, staff was friendly and attentive and accommodating. If you keep in mind this is a hotel being worked on and be understanding of that then you'll have a fun time. The kids, shag eleven...
The kids (and adults too) had a blast. Everyone on staff was super nice and made our stay even more enjoyable. When we didn't have any regular coffee in our room they apologized and cheerfully ran us up 3 more packs. It was a great overall experience. They are not as fancy or shiny as say a Great Wolf Lodge and that's why I have them 4 our of 5 stars. Still great value for the money and great staff
My 9 year old son had a great time in the water park. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It does need some maintenance work around certain spots. It is also a labyrinth of hallways to get anywhere. I would recommend always going outside then entering through main doors to access your room or the water park and lobby. It was over priced in my opinion.
It is much less expensive than Kalahari or Great Wolf but you get what you pay for. We have been to all multiple times. The lazy river is closed most of the day (I don't think they are fully staffed much of the time). Staff has been friendly and the rooms were clean. A lot of the games in the game room take the kids money and don't work and that has happened every time. It is a cheap get away and...

Very close to all the attractions of Sandusky especially Cedar Point. Our room was clean and comfortable. There is a game room, indoor pool, jacuzzi and outdoor pool. This hotel is huge. Free breakfast was good.
Good overall place. Went for memorial day weekend. 2 pools kids had fun. Complimentary breakfast has tons of rooms for improvement. No ketchup?? Fruit? Bagels? Just cheerios, frosted flakes, sausage patties, and "eggs" Curtis from room service deserves a shout out. Great work, helpful and friendly.
I had an issue that I wanted to discuss with hotel management about the training employees receive for the registration desk, cannot seem to get any employees to respond. It seems that they do not give detailed instructions to the employees about guests with service dogs. I have found that they are lacking the basic knowledge of the ADA laws concerning the legality of the questions that are allowed...
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights after traveling back from northern Michigan and we enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was clean, the staff was kind, and our room was very nice. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was great, and there was even a door out to a shared patio. The breakfast was better than we expected with a good variety and the 2 pools and hot tub were very relaxing...
Pros: the pools and jacuzzi look nice. There’s a small game room with about 7 arcade games Cons: they gave our room away. We had even called to let them know we were arriving later in the night and they confirmed it was ok. They ended up having to give us two smaller rooms to accommodate. The room key cards didn’t work. Had to go to the front desk and even after all that only one of two cards worked
Clean nice room, friendly staff, good bar and restuarant. Second visit will be back again ! Third visit ! Great room ! Looking forward to dinner @ Baci ! Super Italian food!?

The staff was very kind and helpful. It's very nice inside the lobby. The rooms were clean but outdated for the price and it was a little confusing to get to the hotel so we had to go around the block (no big deal). The "coffee and doughnuts " in the morning was 8oz Styrofoam cups and hostess prepackaged mini doughnuts out of a vending machine. On a brighter note, the pool was very nice and the courtyard...
Hotel was nice and clean. Friendly staff. No breakfast but coffee was good. 😊 there is lots of places to eat. And just around the corner was the best brickoven stone pizza restaurant! The hotel could use a little fixing up in the rooms. ( Lobby was really pretty and loved the floors) but were not in the room much so it was great for the price and close to Cedar Point and anything you wanted to do....
Can't complain considering the cost. You get what you pay for. It was a pretty clean but outdated room. The initial smell was strange but after a little you stop smelling it. Bed was clean and comfortable and everything in the room worked. The people at the desk were nice too. Won't catch a complaint out of me, and if I needed a hotel to stay at in the area I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Very nice surprise! The outside looks like your typical older hotel but then you walk into the lobby and Wow! So beautiful, like a five-star fancy hotel. Rooms were very clean. Easy check in and price was reasonable. The only thing I thought was odd was there was no mini fridge. Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!
Wifi doesn't work. Hotel bar/restaurant was closed down. The room was ok but was dirty when we arrived. The outside area is nice with the pool. The short distance to cedar point is the best feature.
Great hotel for the price. My wife was looking for a hotel near Cedar Point (for us and our kids). Most places were over $175 a night. She found Magnuson hotel for under $100 (which is located really close to Cedar Point). The hotel is clean, rooms are big, staff is friendly. They took care to get our groups rooms close together, they even upgraded my room so we would be close by. Had to wait a bit for one of our rooms for maintenance but was not a big deal and they were very accommodating. We hang out down in the lobby and breakfast area to watch the football game and hang out with the kids. Staff were all very helpful and friendly.
Staff was excellent and very accommodating. Room was nice and clean, the finishes were nice as well. Breakfast was good, a waffle maker is preferred over the premade/heated small waffles, but the kids ate them. The jalapeno egg and cheese soufflé was a welcomed surprise, I enjoyed them with some breakfast sausage. Pillows were just ok, not a fan of feather pillows, feel a bit flat and prefer memory...
This is close to Cedar Point. The service was super friendly. The beds were soft. Of course, the rooms were clean. Their workout room is better than most. They also have pool and a nice breakfast buffet

Front desk clerks most customer friendly! Megan will make your hotel stay most accommodating! Rooms have been super clean on multiple overnight stays! Definitely my stop when in the area! My rate is Top Notch all around ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
best price ($100/night for 2 double beds), for a safe clean family place. It was nice clean overall and not too dated with nice bright decor - lovely photos of the area framed all over. Front desk was cheerful and quick. It was on the outskirts - but not a problem if you have a car or renting. The bad? When we got there, beds were done but sheets were clearly not fresh. Free hot breakfast was underwhelming...
The rooms were spacious and were recently remodel. The night clerk was courteous and polite. The breakfast was warm with choices of pancakes, eggs, sausage, cereal, and oatmeal. It was a good value for the money. I would stay there again. I didn't check out the pool or weight room.
We got there late so we didn't really get to see the hotel in the day time, but the front desk staff was very nice. The breakfast however, was very lacking. There were several items that were not stocked, and no breakfast bar person in sight. The wifi was as good as it should be. The area was nice. Only a little bit of a drive from Cedar Point.
Overall a pretty nice stay. Definitely a MUCH better option than the Howard Johnson we were originally going to stay at. Rooms are what you'd expect. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Lobby/hallways had a very pleasant floral smell, and the indoor therapy pool is fantastic. If you are going to Cedar Point for more than one night, consider this hotel. This place is a little gem. It's located nicely near Cedar Point, close to an area with a ton of places to eat, and the staff has been prompt and courteous. Our room was a little dated, but it was clean, roomy, and the beds were comfy. This is our second time to this property. We were there about 4 years ago. Since we've been there there have been a number of good upgrades to the rooms and the lobby. The beds are very comfortable and the room we were in has no carpet and now has a nice quality synthetic hardwood floor. It is an older property but it is well maintained. The staff is courteous and we have found that the clientele there...
2 king suite turned out to be just 2 king beds with a Jacuzzi. Small bathroom. No couch. Decently comfortable. Didn't appear to be updated recently. Doors in hallway were banging all night long which kept us awake. Actually got our best sleep from 6am-8am. Couldn't get through to front desk to request more towels the night we arrived so that was frustrating. Typical hot breakfast with waffles, eggs...
We stayed in the 1995 honeymoon suite, needs updating but man it did the job. Door had an issue that only opened after sever swipes but the room had a nice big hot tub, fridge and microwave. Always quiet, clean and courteous. Excellent rates and service. Rooms are spacious. I have nothing bad to say about this property. I have stayed here several times before and it never disappoints. Right off causeway from cedar point is another reason for a great choice. Book early because they fill up quickly. This place is that great for what you pay for.
The beds were comfortable and it was a nice stay after our visit to Cedar Point. We have no complaints. The check in was fast, room rate very reasonable and close to the park. I would stay again. It’s not an upscale place, but a nice inexpensive place to stay.
Very clean but our room smelled like mildew. Pool is clean and kept up. Staff is wonderful! Everyone I talked to was very nice and helpful. Hot continental breakfast consisted of made to order Belgium waffles, cold cereal, mini muffins, toast/English muffins, OJ and coffee. It filled our bellies but I expected eggs, bacon, fruit, etc. Great place at a great price.
The room we stayed in was nice. Fit what I would expect at a motel lodge. We were only staying in the area to go to Cedar Point and it was only a 5 minute drive away. We also had an easy check in process since we came in around 10pm. They also had a breakfast area setup in the morning that had different options such as waffles, bagels, cereal and more. It was a good deal for a one night stay.
Other than being close to Cedar Point, not really that great of a hotel. Rooms were clean, layout of the facility was to awkward for me. Better than driving home tired I suppose.

Great, low key camp ground that makes going to cedar point much more affordable and adventurous. Staff is fantastic and the bathroom/ shower building is clean and accessible. Right next to highway, so do get noise all night that can bother light sleepers.
I love this place such a cute place. Cabins are decently priced if you want out of the elements. And the all you can eat breakfast for 5.00 a person is pretty darn good! Lots to do the chess game pieces are huge, pools, playground, rabbits which are adorbs. And the have go carts for rental!
The staff were friendly. The mature trees are great for shade. The playground is the biggest playground I've ever seen at a campground and the kids loved it. The park was clean and I saw someone clean the bathrooms at least twice a day. Free roaming ducks were cute. If your coming for cedar point it's a good place for a budget but this is not somewhere to stay for a relaxation. The location is a shame...
Every year when I go to Cedar Point this is the place my family and friends stay. Perfect location right off the highway. Right across the street from a McDonald's but normally they have pancake breakfast there on site which is awesome. Really affordable rates and a great atmosphere.

Great place outside cedar point to go and crash. Had comfy beds, no one was loud after 11. That's when the pool closes. Basic, but decent breakfast in the morning. They have a really neat "smart" pancake maker. And I must say they came out just right. 👌
Only minutes down the road from Cedar Point. Rooms were clean, the grounds were well-kept. The pool and jacuzzi was nice. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The continental breakfast was nice. We plan on coming back again!
On a whim we (fam of 4) decided to do a second day at cedar point and needed a place for the night. I was actually super impressed with this place. Pool and hot tub looked clean, they have washer and dryer also. I would 100% stay here again.
This hotel is very close to Cedar Point. If you consider how close it is to Cedar Point you can't beat it. Everything else this close is considerably more expensive. We stayed here in 2020 and at the time of our stay, the hotel was still pretty new. We had taken an impromptu trip and did not have reservations. The pool and hot tub were nice and well-maintained. It's true that a lot of families with small children stay here, so it does get a bit noisy at times. I liked the proximity to Cedar Point, though!
Room was decent. Like all the hotels near Cedar Point on the weekend, the price is high for what you get, Breakfast was ok. Staff was excellent.
A very affordable hotel. Good location close to Cedar point, restaurants, and stores. The rooms were a good size for two people. Everything seemed pretty clean. The bathroom toilet was very wobbly though. The walls are pretty thin so if you're staying next to children, you're probably going to hear them. The free breakfast was alright; make your own waffles, microwave breakfast sandwiches, cereal etc...
My family and I stayed here one night because we got to Sandusky early and needed a room for a night. This hotel was great! The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. We also got breakfast in the morning! AWESOME1 I I recommend
everything went pretty well during our stay. water was nice and hot. i enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. room was clean and bed was comfortable. flat pillows on the bed but this is a preference. breakfast was decent included waffles, sausage, cereal, toast, and bagels. i also enjoyed that applebees, tacobell, and a shell gas station were all less then a 5 min walk away. overall really enjoyed my stay
The room was clean. It had a nice fridge and microwave. The shower door swings both way which causes it to leak so be careful when stepping out! The staff was friendly. The pool was nice and they have extend hours during certain times of the year so it was open until 1am during our stay.

The Inn is located in the heart of Sandusky, and only 7 miles away from Cedar Point! My daughter and I drove into Sandusky from Mid-Michigan for our stay and started our day at the amusement park. We went and checked in around 3, and the woman working the desk was very nice and welcoming. She checked us in no issue, and we found our room easily! They had signs up giving us good direction to find the...
Shower temp was a little hit and miss, but just let it run on full hot for a few and you're good to go. Comfortable and clean. Decent place to sleep and shower and affordable.
A/c doesn't work the greatest takes about a day to cool room but then stays cold not all that bad a place tho

Location is perfect when visiting Cedar Point. Room was clean, but the hotel needs updated. No hot water one evening, phone didn't work to report it.
The hotel is adequate. We stayed here because it was close to Cedar Point. We've stayed at the Breakers before but their prices are ridiculous during Halloweekends. For the price, it served its purpose. PLUS SIDE: The staff was friendly and helpful, our room was clean, easy access to CP, the free breakfast had a lot of good choices and were replenished when running low. NEG: Our room however did have...
Very happy with our stay here after a day at Cedar Point. Good rates, nice enough rooms with comfy beds. Wonderful selection of breakfast items. Nice place to stay.
Customer service was great. Our bathroom was not cleaned when we arrived. We notified the house keeping manager and she contacted her manager and comped our stay. Staff was Very professional.
This is no fancy Hotel, but it is a very decent Motel. I don't know why this place is getting the low reviews, it's a nice place to spend the night.
The rooms are ok, beds are SMALL. Hard to fit one adult and one child onto one dbl bed. Walls are thick you can't hear what's going on outside or next door that is nice. Their complementary breakfast has a veey nice variety and kept stocked very well. Unfortunately, when we stayed the pool was broken? I guess! But we were not to far from Cedar Point like a half mile to a mile. One major problem was...

Amazing. Very clean, NO bugs whatsoever (and I mean none), polite staff, and pet friendly! Pillows were super soft. Breakfast is limited but not a big deal especially for the price. I would absolutely recommend!
Always great! I stay at Knights Inn every time I visit Cedar Point. The room is always very clean and I love the jacuzzi jets in the tub. Great for soaking after a long day at the park. The staff is very helpful and nice. Great hotel for a good price!
