The only place we ever go for vacation. St. Pete has the best beach vibe, friendly locals, awesome local joints, fun beach bars, and amazing key lime pie! I enjoyed my stay and the staff was nice. Pool area was kept clean. Cute bar by pool area, food was tasty, menu has something for everyone. My husband and I stayed last night and had a great experience. Our room was spacious and very clean. We had a nice view of the pool. Good location on the Gulf of Mexico, just south of John's Pass, Treasure Island. Restaurants, grocery store and shops are all within walking distance. My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Bilmar beach resort. The location was perfect. Very clean rooms and several amenities for all the guests. We love coming to the Bilmar Beach Resort it’s in a perfect location with fun activities to do outside and 2 pools. If your handicap or have a hard time get to the beach they have a wheelchair that you can push someone in the ocean it’s awesome!! This little hotel has a great location, you can walk to the beach as it's across the street, Circle K is right next door so is easy to get drinks and snacks to keep in the room, good restaurants are close by like the Crabby on the Pass (great food) and is a great spot if you want to visit close by beaches. As far as the hotel, is a cute little colorful place, very private and quiet, just what I needed...

This was the perfect, quaint beach stay. Location to the beach was the best. Friendly, quick responding staff made our stay top notch. Beach cooler, cart and chairs were available. As well as beach towels. Perfect spot if you are looking to hang at the beach. Quiet, relaxing environment.

We came for Memorial Day weekend. Everyone was very friendly. The rooms were clean. It's a short distance to all the good spots. It was a great experience, and we had a very fun weekend. Thanks for the hospitality.

This is a cute little treasure just 1 block off the beach. With the provided beach gear, umbrella & ice machine they make sure you have everything you need to enjoy a full day or night at the beach. If the pool is more your thing (although I don't know why - the Gulf is beautiful), there is access to one across the street. We liked where our room was located at end of block and just down from pool. Easy access to car park without having to go all way to front entrance. Plenty of supplies. Breakfast adequate but shortage of bacon! Would have preferred real cutlery and chinaware and glassware but realise COVID May have been reason for paper and plasticware. Lovely bar on upper deck and friendly servers. Housekeeping...

Location is very good, with a public beach across the street. The interior could use a face lift, as the carpets are looking worn. Rooms are clean, and most important the beds are comfortable! We would definitely stay here again as we are not a luxury/fancy seeking couple.

My fiancé and I just stayed like 5 nights here and the place isn’t perfect (the rooms could use a little updating) , but all in all we enjoyed our time here. A frequent traveler and always stayed at this place! This time went with my 20 month old son and the staff was absolutely amazing!!! Deborah was knowledgeable and accommodating. We loved our room cause it was facing the marina and my son LOVES boats. The beach is a little walk but SO worth it! If you are traveling with babies make sure you use the stroller to go to the beach, there is a paved path...

It's a quite nice hotel that is reasonably priced. We had a pleasant stay there. Room was big, staff very friendly and helpful. If you like Waffle House, ask the front desk team for discount vouchers.

We are staying in one of the condos hosted by Kristen and Janet, INBELIEVEABLE! The Gulf Winds is right across the street from St Pete's Beach, it also has a pool which is impeccably clean! I highly recommend staying here! It is within walking distance of so many restaurants and if we wanted to go a little further, we are using a free service called Freebee!! It has been an incredible experience!

We had an amazing family vacation at Gulf Winds Resort. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. Great location near to many restaurants and extremely close to the beach. The staff went over and beyond to help make our stay very enjoyable. I highly recommend Gulf Winds Resort.

We love staying at the Gulf Winds Resort and have been staying here for years. They have nice facilities, shuffleboard, laundry on site, BBQ Grills, a clean spacious pool and steps from the beach which is never crowded to see the perfect sunsets. The condo had one room and a sleeper sofa. We scheduled for three adults. We didn't have sheets for the sofa the first night. After hours you can't get anyone. Friday and weekends the area is crowded with people and is noisy at night. So parking is crazy during those times. We probably won't be staying here in the future.

I loved the pool area which has a bridge over the pool and lite up at night with different color lights in the pool. Having a room with a kitchen was perfect given that there was too much traffic on the weekends to drive anywhere. Also, a bonus was that the hotel is located on the beach with several Tiki Huts for drinking and appetizers near the hotel within walking distance.

Visited family on a trip there and enjoyed the heated pool and hot tubs. Nice sized rooms and plenty to do within walking distance.

I have been going here for a while, and it's honestly great! It has the best pool on the strip and has a wonderful beach view for the sunsets. Even though there isn't a restaurant, you can just order from a place across the street!

Older place, but kept up nicely. 1 bedroom king was comfortable. Down elevator, 900 feet to gulf!!! Can't beat that!! Very busy roads, but we walked to restaurants and a shelling cruise picked us up at beach. We plan on coming again.

Great place to stay, on a fantastic beach. The facility is mainly a time share facility with one and two bedroom condos. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the pool was great/big/clean, and the beach access was open and spacious. We went during the first off season week, so it wasn't packed and the pool was wide open. Plenty of restaurants in the area, and a Publix down the street was useful...

The location of the complex is well suited on the beach, close to many of our favorite places. Betty in the office was amazing and helpful, beach access, the pool and hot tub were all fabulous.

Gulf Strand is once again amazing ! Starts with Betty in the office. She makes making reservations & check in after-hours soooo very smooth, very accommodating to what we need, she's one amazing lady, the communication is constant and makes checking in and our entire stay run smoothly. During the last half of our two week stay, Hurricane "IAN" was in the radar which happened to be on Betty's days...

It was nice to get away from the Palmetto area and visit my aunt. We were on the top floor and the view was simply amazing. The rooms are very nice. You won't be disappointed.

This place was absolutely amazing! We had a gulf view room, so we had two balconies, one being faced toward the ocean. We had a gorgeous view from our balcony and our room was very clean and comfortable. There were two bathrooms, so it was perfect for the three people that were staying there. Also, the manage Betty was extremely welcoming and helpful! I would definitely recommend!!

We stayed in unit 303 this past week. The unit was nicely decorated and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you need to cook and eat a meal. Washer and dryer is a great plus. My only complaint would be the sleep sofa is terrible the mattress is very bad shape. The view from the balcony was nice . If you plan on going to the beach the rental on chairs and umbrella is outrageous like $3...

Room overlooking a beautiful world class beach with views extending for miles in both directions. Public access to parking and beach next door for local friends and family to meet up of needed. Plenty of food and dining within walking distance.

We stayed here because we got to our vacation 2 days early and this beachfront hotel was amazing. Tiki bar, pools, beach front, clean rooms, and room service. Price wasn't horrible for beach front. My only suggestion would be the rooms need bigger fridgerators and possibly a kitchen area would be nice. At least a microwave. But if your eating out all the time it's well worth it.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay here. It’s an older building but well maintained and the pool was scrubbed and chemically balanced every morning, we were really impressed. Beds and pillows were very comfortable, staff was super friendly and quick to help out. We also enjoyed Mangos food and the friendly service we received there everyday. Gulf side view is worth putting up with a lot for. Fortunately, the hotel itself is pretty decent. Rooms are perfectly normal/acceptable, staff is great, and the beach access is top notch. Glad I picked this instead of the Hilton in Clearwater - we drove up to check out the pier and the beach in front of Hilton was a zoo of humanity...packed like sardines. Our beach was open and easy and had tons...

Beautiful location. Beach is pristine. Cabana rental is available from a private vendor and also jet skis if that's your thing. On site restaurant and outdoor bar, small bites and drinks on deck. Only problem with service was the elevator was broken and so we used stairs all weekend. I thought they could've offered free drink or reduced price cocktails as compensation. Rooms were clean, well appointed...

Clean hotel, very nice staff and the location is great... Needs a bit of a makeover to the rooms. Very dated. Air conditioning is very very loud! I mean wake you up loud in the middle of the night. Bring earplugs. Restaurant is okay at best.

Excellent staff, good facilities and nice rooms. If you like things a little quieter than Clearwater, then this is a good option. Direct access to the beach and stunning views at sunset from their beach bar. The pool was under maintenance when we stayed, so we used the Gulf of Mexico instead! Bar staff are friendly and kids welcome in that area until they stop serving, which is great. Really handy...
