Cute and clean rooms for a decent price. We
booked a single room with a king bed for 3 nights and paid $650. The staff was nice and friendly and Commutative. We got there after 10 pm when their lobby was closed and their after hours check in process and instructions were easy. There was free parking available.
The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that they didn't offer any housekeeping during our stay.

Great spot ! The rooms were clean and perfectly set up for a comfortable stay. Loved being close to the lake and shops and restaurants in Tahoe City. The staff was very responsive and helpful. Will definitely stay here again in the future!

I really wanted to like this hotel and have my experience work out, as the location is fantastic and price relatively affordable given how updated the place is.
But the heating system in place is not effective and weirdly placed near the ceiling, which is a huge oversight for a new hotel in a winter destination. And the room itself has no built-in protections against the cold that might make up for it, like good insulation or draft blocking at the door (I find this is an issue with modern renovations that value aesthetic over functionality). Oh, and there's no fridge or microwave??
The heaters at a Super 8 or crappy King's Beach motel are more reliable, and it made for an uncomfortable experience. The room was cold and drafty and the cheap ceiling-mounted electric heater off Amazon made hardly a dent in the room temperature. It was difficult to operate and didn't respond predictably to the remote control. You can deliver on all the amenities you want, including a fun lobby space with bar, but it makes no difference if you can't deliver on the core functions required for a comfortable night in the mountains. Hoping this feedback can improve the stay for future travelers!

Basecamp was a great place to stay. Cozy and quiet rooms with a casual “fish camp” theme/decor. Great for families. I would suggest the carpet be replaced. Delicious mocha coffee was my go to treat each morning. Amazing location across the street from Safeway and CVS. Walking distance to all the town shops, restaurants and the lake. I would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our Basecamp experience! Our family stayed in the "Great Indoors", and the kids got a huge kick out of the pretend campsite and having their own bunk space. The hotel provided a space heater and we did need it to keep the kids room warm. Also bring slippers, the flooring is AstroTurf. We made heavy use of the fire pits for s'mores, and all of the staff were very friendly.

There are hotels, and then there are experiences. Basecamp falls into the latter category. Every detail is crafted with purpose, making the rooms equal parts visually stunning and relaxing. We had a wonderful time at Basecamp and would highly recommend it.

Basecamp Tahoe City is the perfect hotel for couples and families traveling to Tahoe during ski season. Quaint, clean rooms. A well stocked common area has the friendliest staff in Tahoe. Highly recommend!

Rooms are pretty basic, but it's in a beautiful location. Rooms have coolers, not a mini fridge. The rooms have great decor and feel rustic while still modern. The continental breakfast has a limited selection, but it does the trick for a day of snowboarding/skiing.

Great location, a little over priced, and pretty misleading. The website's stock photos are a little too good to be true. It was cute and quaint but more so like something you would see on a Pinterest board. Also, no fridges.
