Motel 6-Ventura, CA - Beach
Ventura, 2145 East Harbor Boulevard 🧭 Map
Nice honest and well kept model six, one block from the beach and pretty much on the exit ramp of 101. So it’s conveniently located, very economical, the rooms are small yet clean. You have the usual model six experience, but at a very nice location. Friendly staff.
The room was clean, quiet, and in a great location and Very COLD. The heater didn't work. They gave me two blankets because after checking two other rooms found their heaters didn't work either. That was great for at night while I was in the bed but didn't help when moving around in the room. I was there during a storm so no heater was a big downer. And, the shower was barely big enough for me to...
When my family was displaced by the flood 12/21/23 in Port Hueneme these awesome people treated us so graciously. We lost everything and they were so nice from the office staff, maids, and maintenance. They made our two and a half month stay feel like home.
The rooms cold have had a litte more attention. Dirt in the corners. A musty sewage smell by the bed. For the price it was well located and dog friendly. No carpet was a bonus. The staff was fantastic. They young man at the counter went above and beyond. I witnessed him treating a woman with mental health issues with kindness and respect.
The facility and physical plant was nice and well groomed. The staff was polite and professional. The room looked nice but I immediately found a used Kleenex on the floor. The mattress was unusual and left me with sore shoulders in the morning. The shower stall made me feel like I was showering in a motor home or travel trailer. This all being said everything was new and in overall very nice shape...
Location was great. Denny's, McDonald's and other fast food chains close by as well as gas stations. Drive several blocks down is the beach. Ice machines, vending machines, laundry mat and microwave are all in the same vacinity next door to the front desk check in. The room was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable. We had a refrigerator. Make sure you request one if you need a refrigerator. Coffee...

this is a lovely hotel right on the sea front. staff were very accommodating- looking by after my bags and allowing me early check-in. the sheets were super soft. the bed was really comfy. great shower and really nice toiletries. the room was really clean & had a great view of the beach.
Todd and the team were absolutely helpful and welcoming. The room was perfect 👌 with a small sea view, clean and modern room with enough space and has all the essentials that we needed. More so, they had complimentary coffee which was a great start to the morning. The promenade is a few steps away and was simply breathtaking. We had an amazing stay and we truly hope yours is as good
This hotel is perfectly situated in a beautiful location. It's close to the Ventura Pier and is a five minute walk from restaurants in every direction. The hotel itself has beautiful paintings aligning the walls from local artists. Some of the paintings can also be purchased. The view closest to the bar is breathtakingly beautiful. I was here for a conference so I didn't stay at the hotel, but the...
Excellent Hotel. Staff was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful, from the moment we arrived. The views of the ocean were magnificent! A big shout out to our wonderful breakfast waiter, Hector!! He was the best! Very efficient and so cheerful, even with our large group. We all loved him! Will definitely return to this wonderful Hotel.
Had a really amazing time here in Ventura and our stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel was top notch! Danny and Todd at the front desk are amazing and went above and beyond to make sure your stay was as pleasant and comfortable. The view from our balcony was unreal and the hotel had a ton of amenities for guests to utilize. It was central located so we didn’t even bother renting a car. Walking distance to...
This is an older hotel that has been renovated, so the rooms are clean, nice and modern. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is a lounge in the lobby that is very open and looks out over the beach. There is a large fire pit outside the lounge that also overlooks the beach. The hotel restaurant appears to be new, and there is room service here. The rooms they call Executive Suites are large, but not...

Mariotts are always a pleasure to stay at, and this one was special given its great location close to the beach. The rooms were premium, and had extremely well done interior decor. (For example, the curtains are so amazing that if you decide to take a mid-day nap, be well ensured that not an ounce of sunshine will trickle into your room) The service was exceptional too - specially the order-in to your...
Matt at the front desk made our vacation stay enjoyable with his great customer service. My family had a great time, location is great to venture around the surrounding cities. Rooms could use some updating and maybe just a bit cleaner. The buffet is definitely NOT worth it...you've been warned, for the price it does not justify the food options.
The Annual Dinner meeting for 200 guests was very well arranged except for the sound system l. We couldn't understand the speakers. The food was good for hotel food and the service unobtrusive. I would definitely recommend that we return here next year.
The rooms and finishings in this property were beautiful. the location was fantastic for walking around the marina. the food and service in the hotel restaurant the first night we’re fantastic. we had two fantastic males check us in, they were so polite and friendly.
The Marriott in Ventura is set right near the beach. You can easily walk to the beach from the lobby. The exterior is lovely and it has everything you would want from a Marriott. The work out space is super nice and the pool is clean and very pretty. I booked on line and sadly, the room I booked was gone. This did not please me and they really need to get that together and not blame their website...
Recently remodeled. Beautiful modern decor. Great bathroom with walkin shower. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Great bar with a decent menu. Only a couple of minute walk to the beach.

Pretty good just a lot of weridos walking around at times cleaning people need to learn how to say hello 🤔 Despite reporting to front desk, the man trying to look in my peephole, and girls standing in hallway hanging out & talking outside my window (literally all night) "there is nothing we can do about it" The rooms are standard, clean, and the checking lady at 3pm was friendly, but it went...
My experience at motel 6 was a very good one. Very pet friendly your furbaby's will feel right at home. Rooms are clean and very spacious. The lady's that do the cleaning are very nice and clean the rooms very good and are very understanding that I have my dogs in the room . Tracy and staff at the front desk are very nice and make u feel like you know them for a long time not like your a guess they...
Its a decent budget motel. The clientele are tough on some Motel6s, including this one. My only concern was that upon checking the room, housekeeping should have wiped down the table, couch and nightstand as all 3 had visible dust and a few hairs. I took care of it. I do stay at this hotel chain quite a bit while on business, and once in a while on personal travel, vacations, etc.
First of all our room was not ready when we arrived so we had to wait an hour and a half with our cat in the car. We were in town to attend a funeral so it would have been nice to have our room ready on time. When it was finally ready , the door was open and there was caution tape across the door. The room smelled like a dirty mop and it looked like it had barely been cleaned. The toilet ran all night...
Better than most Motel 6s. Rooms are clean and in good repair. It's quiet other than the highway noise. Tracy at the front desk was always friendly and very efficient. This motel is definitely better than the two independent motels a few minutes away. All in all, I was happy with my stay and I will stay again.

I reserved 5 rooms here - all for the same night in mid July. Our rooms were clean & lovely. Love the quiet Climate Control! Loved having in-room coffee, a fridge, & a microwave. In-room SAFES would be very helpful also. (They did NOT have those.) Breakfast is 1st-come, 1st served "Grab 'n GO!" We were also disappointed to see that the pool & pool area was closed.
Once we got the GM squared away, the rest of the stay was very good and pleasant. This is an older property that has been upgraded as much as one could reasonably expect. The bed was rather small even for a queen, but in reality more than adequate for one person. Room was spotless and kept that way. Breakfast is above average and run by very accommodating ladies. I would stay here again and think it...
Great up grades to the rooms. I love staying here. Breakfast is good. Its walking distant to the middle of old town Ventura. Highly recommend.
For ~$150/night, this place was way better than I expected. As of (4/2018) it looked to have been thoroughly and recently rennovated. The rooms were clean and comfortable. And the location of the hotel was great for getting to the ocean. The staff was also friendly and helpful. I really liked that all their vending machines actually had Credit Card readers and we're very well stocked. I would definitely...
It's being renovated. Clean room at a decent price. Reasonable breakfast offerings. Avoid the back wall rooms, there's train tracks behind the hotel. And they're used.
Great hotel. Staff was excellent. I had a king size room. I found it nice and roomy for two. Internet, breakfast, and other amenities were on point. Thanks for making my stay exceptionally nice.

We were in town to attend our granddaughters engagement party, the Amanzi was within 10 mins of the party location. Breakfast on both days was fresh and everything was available.
This hotel experience was perfect. Our room was huge, had a great layout and balcony. There was a furnace we could turn on that mimicked a fireplace. This was a great touch. Breakfast was excellent and we took more food to use as lunch while on the Channel Islands. The only downside for this hotel is that it is right next to I-101. You can hear it all night long.
This hotel has balconies and view. You can actually sleep with fresh air in the room. Rare luxury in new hotels. Now, ALWAYS friendly staff ( I’m lucky to be checked in by Brandon) Friendly attitude made my staying even better! I love to stay here when in area.
We had a great weekend! The hotel was a great spot, beautiful views, and grateful for a hot cup of coffee with a hot meal every morning. My partner and I felt comfortable and were treated with respect. We will be back.
I think the construction may be finished or almost final? Came over the 4th of July weekend and there were no scaffolds. Pool was open. Breakfast was provided and happy hour (beer, wine and wings) from 5-7pm. 7 min walk to the beach and shorter distance to get to a restaurant and downtown. Great location.
The room was beautiful & very spacious. It included all the amenities we needed...refer, microwave, keurig coffeemaker, huge TV, excellent beds & bedding, high quality bath towels & fabulous complimentary breakfast. Jackie who works in the gorgeous breakfast room was especially helpful, kind & personable. I was also impressed with Luis who was @ the front desk the morning we checked out. He was professional...

Four Points by Sheraton is a nice hotel close to most places you wanna be. The rooms are roomy, linen clean, service friendly and responsive. Seems like the details could use some attention. Small things like hair in various areas of the room and no coffee or creamer speak of need for housekeeping to be a little more alert. Good help hard to find, so it's just the culture in some hotels and restaurants
The place itself is ok, it's an older hotel but the rooms are decent sized with balconies. Staff was exceptionally friendly and courteous, especially Gina. 5 stars for her!
This hotel is adequate. Staff are professional but not friendly. The rooms are generic, no character. All rooms are by outside entrance, which is fairly cold in the winter. I probably wouldn't stay here again. It's very close the Channel Island ferry company, which is a positive.
I had a wonderful stay. The staff are the most lovely. The room I stayed in was newly renovated with beautiful furniture, finishing touches and decor - the total opposite of what is described in some of the reviews here. The architecture may be old bones but the interior is brand new and lovely. And clean. And did I mention the service? :-) There's even a cozy fire place in the lobby with lounge chairs...
What I paid to stay vs the product is not the same. If this were lower priced hotel I would have given it 4 or 5 stars. There were a couple of issues. First, you pay $12 a night for parking outside of the daily rate (that's crazy) because when I booked the hotel it didn't say that. I admit I didn't look in the fine print. Second, the front sliding doors of the entrance are inop. I had to awkwardly...
This is a great hotel , I love the fact that we could bring the dog with us . Stuff is super nice , helpful and friendly. We encounter 3 issues that could have made it an amazing experience if we didn't had to face it : 1. We got our room after 3pm , it was an holiday season and I guess they were behind. We came around 2 and waited an hour and half or so. Kids were riding bikes and going to the pool...

The beds at this hotel are the best beds we’be stayed in! So comfortable, after staying in hotels and motels all across the country, this place made us feel like we were staying at a 6 Star Hotel! Christine at the front desk was very kind to us, and the holiday spirit was felt! Much love !
A real diamond in the rough I normally stay in Marriott or better 1st arriving looking at the building I thought I'll get a new hotel but because of time constraints, I went and checked out the room. I was surprised when I found that the rooms were good. I had a room with 3 beds which is 2 in closed bedrooms and one couch bed. Beds were good nice sheets, and bed-spread, pillows were good. Pretty good room, can be pretty noisey but it's right next to a highway so it's expected. Great staff though
For the price, it was a nice place to crash. You get vouchers for the Denny's Restaurant accross the street for breakfast which was really nice.
Rooms were clean and comfortable and staff was friendly. A short drive to downtown. Strongly recommend.

Room #244 I let the clerk know that the heater didn't work, and she offered to move me to a different room. But we had one more night to stay so why move. 1)The heater doesn't work so we were cold all night and during the day 2) When you shower the bath tub fills up with water and doesn't drain fast enough. By the time you finish showering the tub almost over flows with water 3) They ran out of syrup...
Very out dated building, very dirty HVAC vents, could do better with upkeep, but for budget motels these days, I guess that's what you get. Building is next to a high traffic Freeway and Local road interchange with high truck traffic, so can have a lot of traffic noise depending on which side of the building your room is on. Very nice, professional and friendly staff. (Oh and walls are a little thin...
We stayed at the hotel for a dog show and have seen some better La Quinta's over the years. The room was clean but could use some upgrading (pillows, bed linens, & bathroom). The staff was very courteous and helpful. The continental breakfast was lacking a hot side to it and they were unable to hit our desired 6 am time that was noted on the map. It was great proximity to the dog show and had...
By a busy freeway for easy access and no frills. Breakfast is continental with a few choices but its fine to start your day with. Staff was helpful but not very enthusiastic or cheerful which these days seems to be pretty common in middle range hotels.
It's exactly what you'd expect from an average 3 star hotel. It could use some sprucing up, the beds were very firm, some of the outlets didn't work, and the phone in the room didn't work. But overall is was fine. The room was clean, the staff was nice, the location was convenient, and it came with a fridge and a microwave.
I got a room w/ 2 queen sized beds which were so very plush & comfy I was pleasantly surprised to find this quality at this hotel! The design of the room is very modern, and the breakfast that was served wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst. I don't mind the location because the freeway access is right there! You're up & on your way in a jiff, no having to drive thru town just to get to the freeway...

Location and nearby restaurants are great. Management is nice, rooms aren't great but they're slowly improving. One small pet peeve, the wonderful old-fashioned furniture doesn’t get polished, let alone dusted. Beds are comfortable and clean.
Excellent location, wonderful service, clean rooms, beautiful sunsets, great food next door, can't say enough. Will definitely be here again! My wife and I enjoyed our 19 year anniversary here on a rare rainy day, but the clouds cleared just in time for the sunset. Almost like they planned it for us. Thank you!
Room was perfect for what we needed. Could use a little maintenance, but bed was comfy and sleeping with the door open hearing the ocean sounds all night more than made up for the other stuff. Best night of sleep I've had in a long time listening to actual waves and not a recording! Thanks to the Inn on the Beach!
Not for snobs! Just steps from the sand. Stayed on third floor room 302. Hotel is dated, with signs of wear and tear throughout. Hallway carpet is dirty and stained. Rooms are surface cleaned only. Furniture and decor is outdated no secondary locks on doors. Some issues with the TV. Few channels failed to come in. Shower, sink, and fireplace worked without issue. Beach side patios are close and cramped...

We arrived after a 4 day motorcycle very excited to have reached the Pacific Coast! What a quaint and historical place to stay. We loved the view out the back door to the lovely pool area. Was in walking distance of great local food establishments. A definite recommend!!
This was an excellent experience. I stayed for a week and I loved how welcoming, warm and respectful were their staff members. This hotel is historical created in 1910. I saw some old architecture, photos and heard anecdotes of famous guests such as Bush, Elvis Presley, etc. The landscapes are impressive! Also the breakfast is awesome and they offer you a free cleaning full service everyday!
It's a very close walk to the ocean. Very comfy beds and pillows, good coffee, friendly staff. The hotel has a historic type feel to it. I totally enjoyed my stay!
Staff was so friendly & made is very comfortable. The food was delicious. Halibut was done PERFECTLY along with the Spiced Pork Chop. I would highlighter suggest this restaurant &/or hotel. Wonderful stay & dinning experience ❤️
We had a great time here at the Wyndham in Ventura. The location and views are great. It may be right off the freeway, but it's not a bother. The proximity to the beach and the pier is great. It's a bit dated, which is the only reason not to give five stars. I would stay here again, so there's that.

This place is not the Ritz, but rooms are clean and you get excellent daily housekeeping, which does not seem to be standard at fancier hotels these days. There's also a modest breakfast (coffee, toast, yogurt fruit, pancakes) included. The facility is a bit tired, but my King room had a nice little balcony for enjoying a glass of wine in the glorious Ventura climate. Furniture is kind of massive...
The location is amazing, very close to so many stores and restaurants while remaining a quiet secluded location. The rooms and hotel were clean, however the mattress was uncomfortable and very springy. The staff were friendly and overall enjoyed our experience.
The hotel is not as glamorous as the photos on the website show. It seems like it once was a nice hotel, but now, you can tell there is just a lack of attention to detail (mismatched paint touch ups, different colored tile repairs, missing coffee cups, crooked stickers and signs on doors, lack of weatherstripping on doors, I could go on. The parking lot asphalt doesn't look like it's been paved, let...
Overall a great place to spend the night. The staff was excellent and very friendly. The rooms are small so be aware of that. Otherwise they are equipped well and the 2nd floor has balconies. Oh and stop by Blue Agave next door - the food was amazing!
Location, staff, and overall aesthetic of this hotel were great, but like other reviews have stated, the inn needs a bit of a remodel. I fell asleep on what felt like a pile of springs and I was woken up to what I thought was someone in our bathroom, but turned out to just be the person in the next room over. Looking at the place as I pulled up I was thinking nope . To my surprise it was a nice place had the King room w/ kitchen it has been remodeled which made it nice. Definitely will utilize again should I return.

Rooms are clean and serviced promptly. Staff are pleasant and answer your questions directly. Overall, a good and reasonable place to stay.
Great place to stay if you are in Ventura... right down the street from the beach and the city activity... Starbucks around 4 blocks away and a Habit burger joint 3 block away and an real nice park just a block away.

The staff is what really bump this place to the 4 star I have it at. The building it's self, I have to admit, its only a 3 but the people are what make the difference. The owner and his wife are here everyday. Its nice to see him walking, examening his plants in the morning. The rates were fair and I even stayed one extra day.
The rooms are pretty small & they look like they need a little TLC, but overall I see no damn roaches. So its all goodie. Beds are comfortable!!
Affordable motel somewhere between LA and Santa Barbara. Only spent one night and had nothing to complain about. Wifi could have been better, but at least it was working at all. (Pro tip: If you like good cofffee, go to Beacon Coffee for breakfast.)
Too close to the highway, therefore, it is not a quite place to relax after a long drive. The area doesn't look safe. Next time, I would consider choosing something else.

I have to say for a Motel 6 this place was pretty good. It was mostly clean, and I felt safe. All staff really friendly. Would stay at again.
Original room was roach infested and had a liquid on the floor. Management immediately suggested moving me to another room. The hotel is walking distance (three blocks; 0.2 miles) from the Amtrak Station. The freeway close location meant that freeway noise could be heard constantly. You don't get used to it, you just put up with it. Better noise proofing on windows and doors would improve the experience...
Located in a safe area. Eateries nearby. Beach within walking distance if you’re a strong walker. Otherwise quick drive to San Buenaventura State Park (Day use only). Exterior bad, however room interior very nice. King bed very comfortable and with 4 pillows. ADA height toilet. Stall shower with new door, not a shower curtain. Nice size TV. Nice Motel 6....not the Marriott, but nice Motel 6.
Room is small with laminate wood floors so in the morning wear socks because it's a cold floor. No breakfast but location is good it's a 10 minute walk to the beach and shops. Building could get an exterior upgrade. It's quiet even though it's next to a freeway. Beds are ok comfy but needs more pillows.
Motel 6 is always great. This stay was no exception ... With two minor exceptions: 1. The website was slow and at times couldn't finish my reservation. I had to eventually call and by that point the price had gone up, albiet just a few dollars. 2. About 5 to 10 teens who seemed to have been drinking were extremely loud for about a half hour. I felt that management should have stopped it right away...

Found this place by accident, my spouse and I are traveling nurses, and were looking for a place to rent for a few months. The manager gave us a huge room more like a 1 bedroom apartment. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The management is always so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place!
I needed a weekly motel while waiting to find a group home for my brother who is disabled and I'm soo happy that I stayed at Mission Bell. We each had our own room and we had a full kitchen which was awesome, I can handle eating out if I'm on a trip for just a few days, but being able to go grocery shopping and have a place to keep it all was great!! The owner was very helpful and as accommodating...
Very clean and the owner is a genuinely nice man who cares about not only his guests, but the community as well.
Cute, quaint, cozy. Patk right next to door of room. Clean comfortable great location affordable. I will go back
Thank you Harry & Jeresy for your hospitality during our stay! I loved the home like feel of the separate bungalows. Very charming and warm, inviting atmosphere. Thank you. I will return for another stay.

Must say truly the kindest and caring people that I believe I have ever met in the profession. Rooms are clean beautiful, and every room has it's own personality. Very convenient. Housekeeping and gardening staff keep it very appealing. Go enjoy very quiet.
The Rex is awesome.. I've stayed here plenty of times. PERFECT Proximity to beach, food & downtown.. Child friendly, beautiful floral gardens & The front desk managers are super chill as long as you are... 5 stars from me.. Cliff the 🌎 trotter
Very nice! Newly rennovated! Clean, fresh, and the parking spot is just outside the door of each room - super convenient. Will for sure check availability next time we visit Ventura.
Very clean, well equipped and spacious room. The Wi-Fi was bad though, which for us (tourists in the US) was important.
Excellent. The room was clean and looked modern, something I'd expect from a high end hotel. Fully equipped appliances, beautiful flooring and gorgeous shower. Beds are incredibly comfortable. Staff was leinient with out slightly late check out due to our traveling with small children, and they were completely understanding. Worth every penny. I highly recommend this place.
