We were travelling as an adult family of 3 - 2 rooms, for 2025 NYE. Initially booked with pet but cancelled pet as puppy too young. You MUST advise at booking as they have a limited number of pet friendly rooms.
Positives:
Rooms were large and clean with extra towels available for swimming- on request- at reception.
Ample free parking
Room amenities included a microwave
Easy check in & check out process
Close to Ballarat Golf Club (* NYE dinner was an easy booking thank God!)

Restaurant CLOSED NYE!!! So, no room service, either‼️
Advertised heated, indoor pool WASN’T 🥶

We chose this place for the heated indoor pool & onsite restaurant- my husband was looking forward to some hydro therapy for his x2 recent knee surgeries.
… And luckily, the Ballarat Golf Club restaurant was easy to book for NYE dinner - a very pleasant environment with full table service.

We stayed in 2 rooms with my family and it was exceptional. Yes its older style but very clean and tidy. Kids loved the pool also very clean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Value for money is crazy good. We will definitely be back.

The Bell Tower lnn has been a favourite of my family going back 20 or so years as my parents always stayed there when visiting Ballarat based family . I now carry the tradition , the consideration and care of staff , the cleanliness of rooms all go to a really enjoyable stay. Thank you to the Bell Tower , specially Ray and Tina for top notch customer service . Many thanks .

Old and tired in desperate need of a face lift and renovation. Mattress old as the building one would think. Looks better than what it is. Not really a garden view more like facing inwards like every other room to barely maintained grassed area. No garden to be seen. Won't be staying here again

We had a great time visiting this Hotel.
The room was so clean and spacious. We were right across the pool/spa area. The pool... wow! Very clean, well-maintained, and with nearby bathrooms that were very convenient. The water was at a perfect temperature and very clean.
We are looking forward to returning soon! The only thing was that the jet tub didn't work, but we enjoyed the other amenities so much!

For a last second booking through Bookings.com I have to say it was not bad. Good sized shower for 2. Massive room that you could swing a cat. We were very comfortable. Check in and out was easy.

Rooms at this motel are spacious, clean “ at least on arrival” (see later comments re cleaning) and comfortable enough, they are however, quite dated. Reminiscent of some years ago A large double bed is very comfortable, like so the pillows. There is a heated indoor pool but it was closed when we were there, but seemingly would be opened on request. The grounds need work, grass is patchy and generally untidy. Most rooms have spas BUT these are baths only (clearly the spa motors have been removed. Bathrooms in general would be 30/40 years old in design. Shower pressure was quite ordinary We stayed as a group for 4 nights and learned that the rooms are “serviced daily” but servicing is limited to 2 minutes in which time beds were made, towels replaced and that was it. Floors and surfaced not swept or vacuumed at all! Very poor management that dictates this policy. On this basis would never stay here again
