Kalua Motel, Bundaberg1 / 15
Bundaberg, 4a Hinkler Avenue 🧭 Map
Nice little place, the bloke checking me in was very helpful and showed me around the slightly bizarre set up of Room 11 (separate bathroom down the hall, honestly a non-issue). Boredom kicking in, I opened the unexplained, externally lockable door that leads into the room and discovered a hallway full of belongings - may want to move the table across to block that off for any explorers. The lingering...
A wonderful family run motel. Lovely people who know how to go the extra distance for great customer service. Highly recommended for travellers in need of a comfortable clean room at competitive rates. Close to a couple of great food and beverage outlets
I have been here for 6 nights tonight is the last one, I also applied for another 2 day extension after paying then cancelling I asked for a refund of my 2 nights, then a war with the staff begun. Think twice before staying here, i was told of a up keep of the room, and got nothing not even clean laundry or a fresh made bed, 1 small milk is all i have got in all this time.
Don't judge a book by its cover. Rooms were clean and well presented. Great for a quick stopover. Would stay again.
Close to the city, quick short cuts, quite area, big rooms with disability set up if needed
Very basic, dated but clean. Needs repairs. Mould on bathroom ceiling should be removed. Requested private parking, instead had to park on the street.

Cadence was very accommodating with our last minute request for an early check in coming in from a storm on a motorbike. She was incredibly kind to help us with extra dryers and laundry facilities to help us get all out gear dry again. Thank you for being so helpful!
Staff went above & beyond to accommodate my husband's stay. Nice to have people so willing to help & so pleasant to talk to. Room very clean, close to everything. Thank you!
The team behind the desk especially the manager were awesome 👌, they really did their best to accommodate me and my needs and were super friendly. The restaurant on the other hand was an unfortunate disappointment. The room was clean, spacious and zero complaints there.
First time stay, beautiful and quiet motel. Two rooms booked. Rooms are large and modern. Same applies to bathroom. Everything is there what you expect at a motel and a large descent size smart TV. Reception is friendly and outgoing, and ready to assist when needed. Unfortunately couldn't use the restaurant due to medical reasons but all looks inviting, clean and well organised. Definitely our preferred...
Sugar Country Motor Inn From the time we arrived and made a booking for 1 night, the service, the friendliness and everyone was really helpful. It was excellent to have such a good Host & staff. Breakfast was amazing, rooms were nice and the bed was really comfortable. Keep up the good work. One day we will be back from Kiwi Land. Regards Linda & Neil
Wife was to slow and just one gb per day but other wise everything was good

The location was very good and it was easy to find out way to supermarkets and out of town. It was a really comfortable, quiet and well run motel with free laundry facilities and line . Nice kitchenette and everything very neat and nice. comfortable chairs to sit in which was a bonus..
The room was so clean and tidy, and for the first time we can find bible inside the room . The staff was friendly and helpful and they understand our needs and offer if we need milk or coffee or tea bags and they are smiling all the time and that made me feel more comfortable and ease. I highly recommend that place
Only stayed one night, but I would go back in a heartbeat. Room and facilities very clean and fresh. Quiet street but very close to highway. Kitchenette, if needed and all at a great price. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Thank you!
This place is great with Friendly staff and clean rooms. Great location and close to everything but away from the noisy main road.
Stayed here for 2 weeks while on a work contract. Nice, quiet location with clean rooms and free laundry facilities. Only downside was no rooms with cooking facilities which would have been useful for my long stay but staff facilitated me cooking in the outdoor area and supplied cooking utensils to assist. All staff were very friendly and happy to assist however possible. I had no car but it was walking...
Room was clean, well maintained and comfortable. Great pool area. Convenient location

A bargain for the price. Spotlessly clean. The owners are lovely and very accommodating.
Really nice and clean rooms not too expensive
Nice and simple place. It’s an older, budget accommodation, but has a nice pool and is quiet and relaxing.
Nice place to stay
Burnett Riverside Hotel, Bundaberg1 / 50
Bundaberg, 7 Quay Street 🧭 Map
Everything except the restaurant linked had a lot of foods that are not on a normal restaurant menu and expensive.
View of river, boats and bridge from our room. Excellent restaurant, with river view and impeccable service. Older style furniture and fittings. Carpet looked clean and new. Mattress could do with replacement, but overall comfortable one night stay.
Great comfy rooms with lovely view of river - slightly older style room but very clean and comfortable . Very friendly reception on arrival. Would stay again if in area.
Bed was so soft it felt like there were no springs for support, pillows were like rocks, the bed creaked so loud every time you even slightly moved. Furniture and bed is dated. Toilet seat and toilet were falling apart and everyone could hear when you’re on there because of the creak of the seat. Nice balcony to enjoy but nothing to sit on to enjoy it. Not worth the $235 we paid for the night.
This place was wonderful! I'm SO glad I decided to stay there! The staff is AMAZING (Alison, you are WONDERFUL!! Thank you for EVERYTHING!) and the location is perfect! It may not be the fanciest of places, but it was absolutely wonderful and I will stay there again when I go back to Bundaberg! Thank you SO MUCH!
Easily the best place to stay in Bundaberg. Fantastic, central location. I love to stay in the King Spa rooms and they are wonderful, though the furniture is quite outdated, yet not outdated enough to add 'character'. Furnishings could do with an upgrade. Also have stayed with friends in the two bedroom apartments and found the positioning of the shared bathroom window to be... questionable 😂 If the...

This B&B is exceptional. I never actually met the owner we just conversed via text and she was lovely to deal with. Breakfast is a nice touch and delicious. They also upgraded me which was lovely.
Had a lovely stay in Bluegrass Bnb. It was clean, well maintained, and super quiet and restful
Beautiful stay. Close to town, quiet, private, Very clean & homely. Best sleep I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend & will definitely be back.
Great place to stay. Clean Comfortable and quiet with excellent service . Very welcoming hosts making sure we had a pleasant stay
Lovely room, very inviting after a long day on the road. Heaps of variety of food for breakfasts. Staying 2 nights. Will certainly recommend to family and friends. Will come again.
Fantastic stay. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, all furnishings were new and in great condition. The host left us a huge breakfast each day, she was lovely and easy to find if we needed her. The room, kitchen and bathroom were extremely clean. Only downside was that the internet was not really working even though WiFi was advertised and we booked because of that, as my partner really needed it...

Bundaberg, 73 Takalvan Street 🧭 Map
Nice hotel with everything you might need, its just out of the Bundaberg CBD, so may not work for elderly people without transport. Restaurant is well worth a visit for dinner.
The staff were friendly. Rooms are dated but large and clean. I would stay here again as the rooms are clean which is important. Lovely pool area and a 15-minute walk to the shops or 2 minutes' drive by car.
Check in process was quick and efficient. The room was immaculate, bed was comfortable, menu was varied any it reasonably priced. I appreciated the spacious car park and the silence - NO TRAFFIC NOISE
I think in general it is a pretty comfortable place to rest one's head after a tired and long journey, however the walls are a little thin and noises can be heard easily if you are a light sleeper. Receptionist was really friendly and they have room service for no charge as well. I opted for room service as there wasn't much around the area and figured that it might be good to have something simple...
Nice rooms, nice staff.
Stayed one night. Unfortunately, that one night was a Sunday, when their restaurant was closed, so dinner was an issue. Despite listing online that room service was still available on Sundays, the check in attendant told us we needed to go elsewhere for food. He did suggest local places, but was disappointing as we didn't have a car and would have to rely on taxi or shuttle bus. Room was clean and...

Charm City Motel, Bundaberg1 / 16
Bundaberg, 23 Takalvan Street 🧭 Map
We've stayed here a few times and always found the staff and owner to be helpful and welcoming. Rooms are always spotless and have been updated tastefully. Even had our phone charger found and kept for us to pick up on our latest trip. We'll keep coming back.
Great place to stay for two and a bit months during my locum at the hospital. Owner has great hospitality and the cleaning staff were friendly too. Nothing was ever too much effort to help make the stay more comfortable. Room had great facilities to feel like a home away from home.
Charm City Motel is an older motel that obviously the owner/ manager takes enormous pride in. Beautiful comfortable beds, fabulous location, on main road, but not on a traffic light intersection, therefore no noisy breaking during the night - big bonus for us. Very clean and tidy, undercover parking. It's winter, so didn't try out the pool area. Look forward to staying again. Exceptional value...
The location was excellent, Staff were accommodating with requests. The room was clean and good in size. . I would have no issues with booking this Motel again..
Charm City Motel was exceptional. We loved the location, close to every single attraction in Bundy. The staff is lovely and they gave us great recommendations to explore the city and also for dinner. The Motel was sparkling clean. We loved everything about this place. Thanks to the Staff for providing a lovely stay!
If you are looking for a motel to stay in while in the area, I highly recommend Charm city. Rick does a wonderful job looking after this motel and provides wonderful customer service. The motel has old bones with a lovely modern fit out. I was staying two weeks with the weekends back home in Brisbane and Rick even kept my frozen meals (the ones I had forgotten) in his personal freezer until I returned...

Nice place, no issues, remote batteries were getting alittle old and I had to move forward alittle to watch, but not a deal breaker. About a 10 kin walk to shops like woolies and a nice pub.
clean accomodation. staff were very friendly and helpful. we had no hairdryer and staff brought us one straight away
What a great find large/clean rooms, good hot shower, friendly staff, close to everything, and affordable $150 per night 2 beds. Will be returning.
My son and I stayed at this motel on Thursday night, the staff was very friendly and understand is that I wanted to park my truck onsite, the rooms were extremely clean very modern an overall what top it off they had a mini bar which was fantastic after a long day is drive in the truck! I would definitely be saying again when I'm in Bundaberg on my next trip! The only negative thing I can say, it...
Very clean, comfortable room. Upgrades have made it quite modern. Much nicer than the outside reflects.
Huge, clean, modern rooms. Friendly, helpful staff with a fantastic pool. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Thank you for a welcoming, comfortable stay. We will be back again.
Close to town. Great staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Very clean, fresh rooms.
Always stay at Econo Lodge when visiting Bundaberg. Close to town and restaurants, if the affordable bar and restaurant don’t cater for your needs, the motel is clean, and staff are friendly and attentive.
Nice rooms and friendly but I shall not be coming back its getting to expensive I've come here five times and each time the price was different topping out at 175 dollars this trip so good by econo lodge your not very economical any more
The management were very helpful, friendly and went out of their way to try and find us another motel to stay. I found the housekeepers also very helpful and obliging. The room we stayed in was tired as it is old, but it was clean and the bed comfortable. It is also pet friendly.
Rooms were clean and well appointed. Ours looked like it had been recently renovated. Staff were friendly. The hot breakfasts were of generous size and the sausages were real, not supermarket BBQ.

My partner and I were camping and got absolutely drenched by the rain so we booked a room on very short notice and we were given a free upgrade. The lady we spoke to was extremely accommodating and the room was clean and comfortable. Great for the price, would stay again.
Three of us booked a room on very short notice and we were given a free upgrade. The staff were extremely accommodating and the room was clean and comfortable. Very close to everything, shops were within walking distance. Great for the price, would stay again.
Last week I accidentally booked a room with a double bed instead of 2 single beds and when I realised it was past closing time and the lady on duty was happy to assist, even giving me a free upgrade. Nice tidy room. We were happy. Thankyou very much
Rooms are well sized however the shower lacked pressure and wasn't great, the beds and pillows were pretty uncomfortable, the service at reception could definitely do with some improvement with some of the staff, however a few staff members were wonderful and well accommodating. Gorgeous pool and bbq area which is well suited for families. Guest laundry was available with both a washer and dryer for...
We booked a one night stay here when we went to visit Mon Repos. The price was great at $100, but we absolutely got what we paid for in terms of the room. The bed was clean, and the shower had good water pressure. The carpet was very dated and screamed budget hotel. Somehow the carpet had a wet patch which soaked through my bag. This was sorted but lifting my bag onto a table. The staff were very friendly...

The breakfast was awesome. the room was clean. The staff friendly.
When we arrived at the hotel we was greeted with a friendly smile and most welcoming. The rooms are spotless and the air conditioning was as quiet as a mouse and kept our room lovely and cool. Every morning a staff member would give the room a little touch up . I would highly recommend staying at this hotel, it’s a short drive from the airport and the shops are also close and plenty of places to eat...
Very clean and comfortable motel. 5 minute easy walk from the Train station.
Nice basic accommodation that’s fitted out nicely, the recliner chairs are nice in the small space. Brekky was cooked nicely and delivered on time Highly recommended!!!! P.s book direct for a nice lil discount
Rooms are small, but they are clean and the beds are amazing!! Great nights sleeping for the 3 nights we were there.
I've stayed at Bundaberg Best Western a few times now. They have always been professional and supportive. The rooms were clean and well stocked with teas and coffees. The staff are very friendly and have managed to keep me in the same room every time I visit. The location is quite central, with multiple restaurants located within walking distance.

The room was cute, clean, and just what we needed. Comfortable bed and a lovely relaxing area near the pool. I'll be sure to come back again.
Visited the area for kids sport. Stay at the Golden Palms Motor Inn while in town. We were extremely pleased with our choice of accommodation. An extremely well kept Motor Inn, very tidy and nothing out of place. The rooms were well kept, clean and had everything we needed for a few nights. Including, small fridge, tea, coffee facilities, tv, free WiFi, if needed an iron and ironing board, extra blankets...
Great location, with tidy room. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Will stay here again
Spotlessly clean, pleasant rooms with comfortable beds. Highly recommend for a stay in Bundaberg.
Great location. Close to shops and the CBD of Bundaberg. Rooms very clean and comfortable.
This is a lovely motel. Nicely appointed rooms, with undercover parking. There is a swimming pool and BBQ area as well. Less than 10 minutes drive to City, and about a 5 minute drive to the airport, Brothers Sports club, Tavern, and shopping centre. I would definitely stay there again.

Ali was super kind and friendly. After hour check in was perfectly organised and gave me a clear instruction. Room was nice and clean. Location was great and I really liked the little book made by Matilda Motel, introducing Bundaberg attractions and restaurants. I was happy with everything and will come back for sure! Appreciate Ali
Clean room comfy bed and a pool! What more do you need. Thanks will be in touch tomorrow we want to stay this weekend again.
The Matilda Motel is one of best to stay at when visiting Bundaberg, it is very close to town which has a great selection of shops. The rooms are always very clean and tidy . There is a swimming pool which is great on a hot day or a warm evening. I love staying at the Matilda and can't wait for my next trip.! ..
Great location, extremely clean, with a very comfortable bed and amazing shower. The lady running repletion (I didn’t get her name) was so nice and friendly. She let us store our bags for the day and even sit in the property until our bus - thank you so much, we appreciated that a lot!
Although a little tired in appearance and room fitout, the Matilda Motel ticks a number of boxes. It is very centrally located in the middle of Bundaberg very affordable and most shops and businesses are just a short stroll away. The bed was very comfortable and our room was clean and well presented on arrival. There is undercover car parking on site. Our bathroom was adequate but small. The check...

Karen (the manager) was amazing. They allowed me to bring my Shetland pony and stay in the caravan. The outdoor disco was loud yet heat fun, it was a shame it finished at 3am. Use of the butler service was a bonus.
7 day stay, powered site. With the exception of Friday, Saturday night, which is beyond the control of management due to the pub across the river, this is a very peaceful caravan park. Right on the Burnett River with plenty of room to exercise my dogs. The management are excellent and keep this place immaculate. Professional, great communication and personable. Just decent people who do a great job...
Came for 2 nights, stayed for 5. Great place to stay, handy to CBD, super clean facilities, great washing machines and lovely staff. These Kiwi travelers will be back!
We just came back from 2 nights in a compact Queen room. Yes it looks a bit tired on the outside but these tiny (yes “compact” is very accurate!) are impeccably clean and have everything you need. Such a great idea being relocatable. So if the Burnett River floods again, they can simply haul these relocatable homes out. The only thing they were lacking was maybe some towel hooks, but this was no...
G8ve this place a shot! We spent about 4 nights in Bundaberg. Our holidays were up to a rough start due to the weather. Managers on site were so lovely, caring and kind. Ultimately, the park could do with a bit of live, but as explained later on, the park got flooded quite a few times. It might not look spank new, but it was comfortable, safe and clean. The camp kitchen is very well stocked and equipped...
Rooms are a good size for an overnight stay. It was new as even the kettle still had the sticker on it and the half van with good size toilet and shower was spotlessly clean and proved with new soft towels and toiletries. Aircon works very well, and tv is a good size. Parking was outside the door. Plenty of storage in the room. The inner spring bed is something to want to take home and come with great...
