Hobart, 2 Scott Street 🧭 Map
Pavilion A was perfect for 4 nights! Quirky decor, outside seating, cozy fireplace for chilly mornings, and a comfie bed for a good night's rest! Light and bright, functional layout and very responsive staff. The main house is well preserved and historic, with beautiful gardens and a parlor with an honesty bar, very well-stocked. We didn't have the breakfast but I would recommend that as an add...
1 nite
Parking space can be limited for a large vehicle. Especially since we were a party of 7.
This is one of the nicest accommodations I have ever stayed in. The location was great, the decor was exceptional and having the whole house was perfect. We were a group of two couples and three children. There was plenty of space for all of us. We loved discovering all the beautiful aspects of this unusual property.
This scenic hotel is very special. We stayed 3 nights in a Victorian pavilion. Big bedrooms and a large spacious dining and living area plus pantry kitchen and terrace. The whole arrangement of buildings incl. main house is very scenic. Very friendly staff. Located quite closely to the city Center, however, situated on a hill (better grab a cab on the way back to the hotel)
An outstanding experience. The apartment was spacious and very well equipped. If you need to do laundry there is a Miele washer/drier. The dining area easily accommodated our five people The breakfast choice and presentation was excellent and was served in an indoor sunny area in the hugely attractive main house. Thoroughly recommended for a stay
Good place to stay nice quiet and modernised

Discovery Parks - Hobart
Hobart, 673 East Derwent Hwy 🧭 Map
Location was good, not far from Hobart city and main shopping centers.
Great meals at the Risdon Vale hotel a short walk from Discovery Park.
The cabin we had was clean well equipped and warm, also the size was very good too.
Better than expected from the Wotif listing. The cabin was perfect for our young family and we had a fantastic week in Hobart on holiday. The desk staff were super friendly and very helpful too, down to calling us and letting us know our daughter had left her barbie behind! We had time to head back to get it, so averted a major personal tragedy 😅.
We were initially 50/50 on the location as it’s on...
WOW!! We stayed in a superior cabin, it was spacious and had everything we needed! It sure was a treat to have a washing machine and dishwasher in the cabin! The office staff were super friendly through each interaction. Location wise, was close to Hobart and tourist attractions. The park provides great activities for children, including a jumping pillow, mini golf, cubby house. The fire pits and outdoor...
Cabins clean and tidy - booked a superior cabin. Was surprised to see dishwasher and washing machine as well as full stove and oven. Beds comfortable.
Two bedroom self contained cabins with everything. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, air conditioner, electric bbq, full kitchen. Small gripe about the curtains. Light still gets in at sunrise meaning we were up early regardless. No ceiling fan in the bedroom so the air con ended up running all night.
Nice enough for an overnight stay. We had noisy people beside us which was annoying. Ensuites are very basic but fine. Staff were very friendly a little expensive but that's to be expected this time of year.

Exceptionally clean and we'll presented rooms
Super friendly staff, very comfy bed, great free Wi-Fi. Restaurant offers great value home cooked meals and good choice of local wines and beers. Can't falt the joint.
Great check in experience, very friendly and helpful.
Room was exactly as described on the website, it was clean, all amenities and facilities worked without issues and in great condition (not aged).
Bathroom and toilet facilities are modern, great condition, linen in good condition and quality.
The only issue we had was on the Saturday night where I assume it was a "full house" that there wasn't...
Very friendly staff, loved the laundry that's available to guests (it came in handy after being on the road for a week). We had a spacious 2 bedroom room with 2 TVs so the kids didn't wake us in the morning. Kids loved the Mac and cheese at the restaurant.
Worth for the price paid. The room was clean and spacious.
The fridge in my room was constantly making noises and it was quite disturbing at night when trying to fall asleep.
The restaurant served nice food (the steak was amazing!) and the service was very good.
Nice for a budget motel. Just off the main road, breakfast, clean rooms and nice staff.
Great experience.
We had the 2 bedroom unit and it was clean and well appointed and quiet. We were a bit concerned that there might be some traffic noise because of the location, but it was very peaceful and quiet. Well appointed rooms, great shower, staff very friendly
Call them directly to get a better deal rather than giving the greedy OTAs (online travel agents ) their way over the top percentage

110 Hampden Apartments
Hobart, 110 Hampden Road 🧭 Map
Accommodations were quite ordinary, could use a bit of sprucing up as the carpets were a bit worn and tired. Was very difficult to keep the window and sliding doors free from condensation so didn’t always get a good view.
Also having to climb 23 steps with all our bags was rough. It would have been good to know this was a possibility or requirement when we were booking.
We recently stayed at 110 Hampden Apartments and overall had a mixed experience. The location was reasonably convenient, the price was competitive, and the views were absolutely spectacular, which was a definite highlight of the stay. However, there were quite a few downsides. The room layout felt awkward, the bed was only a double and quite soft, and the apartment really needed a good deep clean...
The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are simple, the kitchen facilities are complete, the service of the staff is professional and friendly, and some of the staff can speak Mandarin. As it is in the city center, Chinese and Western restaurants and bus stops are nearby, so living and transportation are very convenient, and it is close to the large supermarket Woolworths.
Good location, good apartment, ok bed and bedroom
Good single bedroom apartment with kitchen and everything you need. Bed was on the small size and the bedroom window blind still let a fair bit of light in.
Would have been nice if the apartment was serviced while we stayed
Position was good but accomodation was smaller than expected and whilst parking was included is was not always available.

Mantra on Collins Hobart

Staff were amazing! So friendly and accommodating. Never seen anything like that before, even at 5 star hotels.
Managed to snag a room at late notice for the Australian Wooden Boat Festival. As luck would have it we got the top floor with a view out to the Derwent River and the docks. Located a block and a half from the docks it was a great location for the festival. Hobart being a compact city I found I could walk to all the city locations easily. The day we checked out my partner needed a place for a zoom...
My husband and I just recently stayed at the Mantra in Hobart for 1 week. The staff are so friendly and helpful.
The location is great, walking distance to everything in the city.
Our room was nice with a view of the mountains. We will definitely stay
again when we visit Hobart.
Good quality comfortable rooms, well serviced. Parking is next door at Sultan multi story carpark. Take your ticket to reception for validation and reduced parking fee.
Ignore carport full sign.
Fantastic location! We found the staff in all areas to be welcoming and efficient. Their professional attitude made our stay very enjoyable. Our room requests were met, and we appreciated the lovely view to Mount Wellington. The room was clean with a comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend this Hotel as a great base to explore Hobart.
A great place to say. I stayed for 2 weeks.
Staff are very friendly and always greet you with a welcoming smile. The food was restaurant quality. My room was great with queen sized bed and spacious. Couldn't fault anything at all. My family and I absolutely loved our stay at Macquarie Manor. Such a beautiful hotel in a gorgeous historical building. The owner and staff were all amazingly hospitable, friendly, kind and helpful. The hotel is easy walking distance to many great spots in Hobart. My husband, 2 children and I stayed in room with 2 singles and 1 queen or king bed (I don’t quite remember). It was a great room for the...
Can recommend staying at Macquarie Manor. We arrived early and dropped our bags off which were taken up to our rooms for us when we returned. Very spacious room, friendly hotel cat and lovely staff. Croissants and coffees in the morning were also a big hit. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Hobart
We went to Hobart on the 1st week of September. Perfect spot for us. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. We came in a bit early for our check in. We just want to leave our luggages so we can have a look at the city first. Chris said the room was early and hence we can put our bags and check in our rooms. Even gave us a free parking. Very accommodating, great service. The place has a very friendly...
An all round great stay. Clean, comfortable and great sized room in a character property. Chris was very friendly and helpful throughout with great communication. The free continental breakfast was an added bonus, especially as it included freshly barrista'd coffee. Well located to explore Hobart in foot and great eating options just minutes away. Nice to be welcome by Raggie the cat on my return each...
Couldn't recommend Macquarie Manor highly enough! My husband and I stayed for our honeymoon in April this year. Really beautiful colonial heritage building with amazing foyer and breakfast/ reception area. However the room although massive was rather dated and had no windows and there was a constant exhaust fan running. Check-in is very limited and only available between 2 and 5pm. Central Hotel Hobart
Hobart, 73 Collins Street 🧭 Map
Very nice and clean room, located on top of a ******. I was surprised by its location, but it exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness and quality. We had a very nice stay! The only drawback was that you could hear the tv from the room next door, so it is not perfectly soundproof I’d say, but we had a lovely stay regardless.
A great choice to stay at in Hobart. Close to everything in the city and easy to get to from the airport.
The location is great in the central Hobart. The room is clean. The only downside is sometimes there are street noise before midnight
The room is clean, the cleaning staff is friendly and provides daily cleaning. Only one arrogant counter staff is uncomfortable, everything else is good. The old building needs to climb stairs. Free self-service laundry but there is a time limit before 9pm.
The location is excellent and it is very convenient to go to the attractions. There is no lift, so you need to check your luggage upstairs.
It's a nice hotel. You can stay next time. It's near the city center.

The room quite okay, nearby many restaurant including Indian and Chinese restaurant. Walking distance to city. Also near to the sky bus airport bus stop.
Cons: no one at the counter to check in. You have to call the owner. Can use public phone to call the number at the counter.
Overall, 👍
It wasn't pleasant to stay there...
no reception , no control who can follow you to the room as the front door are open.
no elevator, heavy bags are not recommended to stay here.
This place is not very clean, own by Chinese and there a Chinese restaurant on the ground floor, we will not recommend to go there🤢
Hotel is in great location. Just the cleanliness may be an issue for someone looking for high standards. Was happy with the cost which it came for.
Very nice little hotel. Felt like a nice private place to come back to after a day’s roaming. Clean and quiet despite being in the heart of town. I’ve stayed there twice and I find it very pleasant.
Very good value! Had a room two flights up above the excellent restaurant DingDings. Comfortable bed, clean room. Quiet- except for a few doors slammed by neighbors. Mona Pavilions
Hobart, 655 Main Road 🧭 Map
We stayed at the Arthur Pavilion for our 28 th wedding anniversary and it was one of the best experiences we have ever had. The unit was beautifully appointed with original artworks by Arthur Boyd and the bathtub looking over the Derwent sublime. We had breakfast included which was faultless with staff across the MONA complex outstanding. We also visited the Faro restaurant which was a once in...
This was my 5th time at Mona and 5th stay at the pavilions. Let me start with saying that this is a 5 out of 5 stay but I have chosen a 4 out of 5 to make sure that they fix the "issue".... There is no doubt one notices little cuts here and there. I have stayed enough times to notice a few things have changed (amenities...). There is also no doubt the staff is the best and friendliest in the universe...
I love MONA like crazy. Really love the museum and the art but this is meant to be a review of the hotel portion, so will stick to that. Difficult to find where you check in, but once we did, the experience was sublime. We were greeted at the reception desk by friendly, welcoming people. Our room (Esmond) was gorgeous with interesting art and furniture. Very much appreciated the complimentary bottle...
The breakfast on top of the art works was art on art - amazing
First trip to Mona - fabulous - no wonder everyone has already been
This is the greatest modern art museum in the world, bar none.
Beautifully set underground with natural rock formations all around you. Unlike most museums, art work is not separated by era, you will see ancient tablets next to digital art. This continuity really inspires and connects like no other collection I’ve seen. The design of the space is also impeccable and human centered. Comfortable chairs...
My first visit was incredible - an amazing experience with so many different spaces and exhibits. This was my second visit - disappointing, and I didn't like being stuck underground. One particular experience I didn't like at all, 10 rooms that were so dark, I couldn't see anything and was glad to finally get outside. The beer was good and a great jazz band playing, enjoyed being outdoors.

Customer service - staff were friendly and inviting. Food was okay - baos and chicken wings were delicious. Nachos would have been better without the beans, each to their own though.
Drinks were good - lots on offer to choose from, from local Tasmanian beers and ciders to other various beers and ciders as well.
Atmosphere was great - Friday night, the place was bustling - but in a good way. People...
Good location, big space inside and cool interior with a fireplace too!! Staffs are really friendly and attentive. They have cool selection for Parmy! Everything taste good. The local tap beers are a bit more expensive that the usual in your regular pubs. But by far, ine of the good schnitzel pub place in Hobart, I think.
Brunswick hotel is such an amazing place! We are visiting from Sydney, and thoroughly enjoyed the vibe that the restaurant brought, and the food was so incredible! A little on the pricey side, but in my opinion it is worth it for the taste!!
Highly rated, and will definitely be coming back :))
Great pub in a superb location! Wood fire has been going when I've been previously but not on this occasion.
Drinks list looks good. Menu was fantastic. A fantastic parmi and I've had other things from the menu before.
This night I had the wallaby parmi with wilted greens and a cream sauce. Tasty crumb, greens plentiful, and a great sauce. Chips on the side were great, large cut with just enough seasoning...
Genuinely surprised. Went for an average pub meal and ended up with a pretty darn good feed. Was much more done up than your average pub and the food was delicious with a good selection. Portions were very reasonable too. Staff were very friendly and only too happy to seat us even though we had no reservation for dining area. Highly recommended for a night out.
So...it's a "backpackers"...but it's so much more that that! We stayed in a single room. It had an ensuite, bed, and telle. It had everything you need if you're going to explore Hobart for the next day or two. The Hotel below offers amazing food.. and the best gravy if you ask my bf. It's central and a cheap place to explore the food and drinks of Tas.

Good place considering the pricing and location but room service was not too good. When we checked into the room, there was leftover juice in the fridge and there was no milk as well. Otherwise, it was good place with gaming and bar attached.
A hotel that does what it says - decent, clean rooms at a budget price. The pub downstairs has a particular character that may not suit everyone but as a place to stay it's central, clean, functional and budget priced.
Budget Friendly.
Fantastic accommodation.
Clean and tidy room. All the usual amenities in the room. And the bathroom is so much bigger than any other I have ever experienced. It's actually the size of a normal bathroom.
Staff were friendly.
The attached Hotel is welcoming with food, drink, and gaming facilities.
The Salamanca markets are a short stroll as is the botanical gardens, the Marina, museum...
Nice, clean and comfortable in a great location. Compact rooms are extremely compact.
The food is amazing while the portions are very generous. The staff are polite yet friendly. The entire establishment is spotlessly clean, including the designated smoking areas.

I went for the steak night on Wednesday. I was really excited for the steak. It was a bit confusing where to order for food and where to sit to eat as the pub is devided in two; front/back. When the steak arrived it looked really good but it was quite chewy. Wasn't as soft as medium rare I expected.
