Econo Lodge Motel Village in Calgary

Horrible customer service from Paul at the front desk. Seemed to go out of his way to be obstructive and unhelpful and also appeared to take great delight in being as unhelpful as possible. Went on about “hotel policy” but when I checked he was just making it up as he went along. Awful.

Absolutely disgusted by the way we were treated at this hotel. Disrespectful and ignorant night staff (who claims to be the property manager).

Had our music on for about an Hour and just after midnight, male night staff asked us to be quieter. We apologized and shut our music off. Over the next 30 minutes the night staff pounded on our door and phoned us numerous times asking us to be quiet after we had already shut everything down and were talking quietly amongst ourselves. After being harassed by said night staff, we decided to leave to get some food and had planned on coming back to go to bed. While away our SLEEPING friend is woken by police and being asked to leave.
For the last week I have been trying to get ahold of a manager to discuss this situation. I have received no phone call. I have been disrespected over the phone when asking for the managers name.
I absolutely will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Unless you’d like to be forced out of your room for being compliant.

Regretfully, I had to cancel my booking at the Econo Lounge tonight.

When my boyfriend called initially to cancel, the employees left him on hold for over 10 minutes before he decided to hang up. Later, I called to cancel the booking and was told that I would still be charged for a night, when my email confirmation stated that I could cancel without charge.

The employee I spoke with mentioned that I could email this to management to sort things out, but I was not given an email. When I looked online for an email I could not find one.

I am disappointed in the service I received, frustrated, and would like to resolve this issue if possible.
