Motel 6-Lethbridge, AB

Let's just start with I didn't expect much out of a motel 6 especially when I know the scabby hotel it was before it became a motel 6. Oh and none of the photos except the front of the building are photos of this location.
Having stayed in motel 6s across 3 or 4 countries and many cities and towns I can with confidence say this is the worst one I've ever stayed in. It just so happened to be we were going to be traveling with two large dogs and they were the only ones who would accommodate them. So one star for that. One star for being right on the main drag of the city. Other than that it was absolutely terrible. Beds that haven't been replaced ever, pillows felt full of lumps of clay (ended up using a folded towel to sleep on). Front door draft that the heater could barely overcome at minus 7 with a strong wind against the door. Bathroom is so small you couldn't stand by the toilet and close the door you had to step into the tub to close it. A 15 dollar a night cheaper Price wasn't even worth the troubles. Definitely will NOT be returning.

I stayed at motel 6 for a few nights last week, im not employed currently due to a severe car accident over a year ago so in town "staycations" are all I can afford. This was my 3rd interaction with the establishment. My first stay there almost 2 years ago my friend put down his credit card to cover damage deposit. After leaving they charged my friend $400 for overly dirty linens. When I went a 2nd time they pulled a $300 deposit ou then said the girl I was with needs to produce photo I.d too, she didn't have any so we didn't even set foot in a room. Weeks went by I continually phoned and asked when my deposit would be back available on my card. I finally had to file a claim with my bank to finally get my money back about 2.5 months after it was taken from me. PAIN IN THE @$$. I made the mistake of going there quite recently (my final attempt so help me god. I wanted to add a night in the room and the woman who works the day shift said there's a tournament in town and they were fooly booked. Long story short she phoned the neighboring motels because each one said exactly what she said. That the owner phoned and said he doesn't take guests with a local address. Prior to entering the managers came out after spotting me with a bunch of luggage on foot and repeated what the motel six manager and already told me verbatim that the owner had called and would not accept my rental. My roommate who was with me for the trip had made it three motels down as I was just watching the bags I got in a room booked at Motel 8 had gone into the room and come back to help me with my bags when management came out and said the owner called and they don't rent to people with local addresses all because the Motel 6 manager clearly didn't like us she was incredibly rude the whole time we were there all of a sudden once we were checked out we had to be off the property because check in is at 2:00 p.m. even on the website it's at 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. I will never ever again stay at Motel 6 or any of the motels in that strip.
