I wish I had asked the name of the young man who checked us in. He couldn’t have been nicer. Our room was very big and very clean. The bathtub was deep and so clean I was able to take a bath. The towels were fluffy. The bed was comfortable. The location is perfect. The pedestrian only street is right out the side door. The train is two blocks away. A decent hotel nestled in the SE quadrant of Calgary. Friendly staff. Clean rooms and a nice pool area for kids. A little run down - could use new lockers and upgraded hot tubs but splash pool and slide were good. Buffet is awesome but a bit overpriced. Far from the city, great service at the restaurants and bars and buffet. Keep in mind there is an indoor smoking area so the smell naturally spreads so if you're not a fan of the smell then you probably shouldn't be there. 1 elevator for the whole building wasn’t the greatest during the weekend. No fan in bathroom, which I understand they don’t because of smokers but it’s still an essential thing to have. If you are looking for a welcoming experience, you've come to the right place. The hosts, Kim and John, are storytellers who have built it right into this inn. Overall, the hotel is nice; the rooms were clean, check-in/check-out was quick, and the location is very convenient to the Calgary airport. Oh man… it was decent for the price but I would pay a little more to stay somewhere else. Not a fan of their sliding doors for the bathroom - does not lock properly and there is a gap when closed. Housekeeping did not make the bed or replenish the toiletries. Only towels were replenished and trash taken out. Extra service like new sheets, deep clean, etc is $20. Also the fire alarm went off at 3am...

Very friendly staff, came here for a trip, the lady in charge of the breakfast was EXTREMELY FRIENDLY! The pool was clean. The rooms were also clean, they are the typical hotel room, nice and modern as well! Everything was great for the one night we stayed. It was the 3rd Fairmont on our itinerary, and the service and facilities are top notch. Our room was clean and comfortable, and as a historic building fanatic, I geeked out on the glass doorknobs. 1 star off because the hall smelled of dog pee and the ice machine didn’t work (but I was able to call room service for ice) The breakfast was delicious....

Staff welcomes were exceptional. Room service was quick and efficient. Pool and Hot tub was relaxing. Our sleep was comfortable and quiet. Had a little trouble with pulling up shower knob could be due to my own arthritis. All in all can’t wait to return thanks once again.

Great location in the centre of Calgary. Nice hotel, very good food in the restaurant, both for breakfast and dinner. The staff is super atentive.

We had the entire lower lever suite to ourselves as nobody else was staying in the other rooms. The kitchen and den area was large and well equipped. We also had a private bathroom with a tub in our room. The suite was very clean and pleasantly decorated.

I booked a stay in Calgary to be with my kids and their partners. It was over Christmas, and the place was just perfect. Wood burning fireplace, billiard table, and it was decorated for the season. Beds were super comfy and host was attentive. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks Jess!

Ok my experience with Sandman was lovely. Kind and polite staff. Front desk people were helpful and cheerful! Conveniently located by the airport and multiple restaurants. The pool and hot tub are fantastic size for just tiring out little ones before bed. The rooms were clean and comfy and the maintaince man was great too we had him replace a light bulb for us. The front desk staff is extremely kind and patient.
