Walkable distance.
Various choices of breakfast.
The room was clean and well-heated, so it was warm. The location was also in the center of downtown, so it was easy to go anywhere.
In particular, they provided a free breakfast, and it was really delicious!
I'll stay here next time I come to Calgary ㅎㅎ
This most recent trip was the last straw with it. I called the hotel to inquire about a room, they told me it would be $200 for a room. I looked and booked on Expedia for $150 instead to save money. When I got to the hotel they asked for my booking and I showed them, they needed a credit card and ID for incidentals. I gave them that and then got signed into my room. I valleted by vehcial and said I had to have it out by 6:30AM the following morning and they assured me no problem
The next morning when I went to get my car no one was to be seen. Finally tracked down my keys and by car was burried in a parking lot of tetris parked vehicals. It took over 30 minutes to shuffle the cars around in the park to get it out and it was a complete disaster. Missed my meeting and appointments because of it.
Side note the breakfast is unedible and aweful. Go to the resturant next door.
The next day I get an email with a reciept from my stay from the hotel, they had booked another room on my credit card and charged me $190 for it ontop of the room I booked with Expedia. No one at the front desk will answer my questions or help me with a refund on it now and keep directing my to the Manager there.
Ive left voicemails with them and no calls being returned. Finally had to open a complaint with the corporate office and get a case file and now will spend far to much time and engery trying to just get a refuind of $200 because of incompitence.
Every single stay gets worse and worse there and this was my last visit I will have with this Marriot.
