A Bear and Bison Country Inn

Choosing Bear and Bison was one of the best decisions we made planning our wedding! They were so helpful as planning and coordinating were coming together and had me feeling confident going into our big day that we were going to get the perfect day to celebrate. The food was incredible and it kept coming until we were all stuffed to the brim. Having Brooke on site to help make sure our wedding day ran smoothly was such a comfort and had me feeling so relaxed knowing that everything would be taken care of! The jacuzzi tubs in the room didn’t hurt either ☺️. The gazebo was set up so beautifully for us and the breakfast and dinner table settings were coordinated with our wedding colours without me asking! I would definitely recommend Bear and Bison Inn to any brides or grooms like myself who get overwhelmed by the prospect of organizing and coordinating the 100s of elements that go into a wedding! With Brooke and Lonny it was a breeze!

Incredible location with stunning views of the Three Sisters. Came for our elopement wedding and it was organized very well back and forth with our coordinator. The day went off without a hitch. The decor is amazing but the rooms themselves are dated. Overall fantastic experience.

The only negative comment I have to make is that it was a little hard to find the driveway when arriving in the dark, and finding wifi of the properties in that driveway was the lodge.

Lonny was very quick to deal with any issues we came across, and Brooke was amazing to work with for our wedding.

The setup was gorgeous, and they did all they could to make our day as special as possible. They took care of every detail, and all the communication up to our arrival and while we were there made us feel highly cared for.

Absolutely amazing. I stayed here with my partner last weekend for a night because of an event we had, and we had such a nice stay, I wish our stay was longer! The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the chef made the best breakfast we have ever had!
The views from our room were amazing! We will definitely be back and stay here every time we are in Canmore!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding venue than the charming Bear and Bison Inn. From the moment we arrived to the day we left, our experience was absolutely magical. The setting is so picturesque, with the view of the Three Sisters and cozy accommodations that added a rustic elegance to our special day.

Brooke, our wedding coordinator, was an absolute gem. Her attention to detail and dedication to making our day flawless was truly remarkable. She was always available to answer our questions and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly.

And let's not forget the food! Lonny's culinary skills are nothing short of extraordinary. The meals served throughout the weekend were not only delicious but also beautifully presented.

Our wedding guests couldn't stop raving about the venue, the service, and the overall experience. We wholeheartedly recommend the Bear and Bison Inn as a wedding venue. We will be back!

Had our wedding here and it was an amazing experience. Lonny is amazing to work with! The rooms are very nice and clean. The view Is amazing, we had to do basically no planning for our big day we just showed up which was great. The breakfast is very tasty. Charming place and would definitely stay here again!

We booked “The simply Bear with me signature” the moment we checked in Brooke made us feel like royalty. Everything was taken care of by excellent communication between Brooke and Lonny. I can’t thank you guys enough for making our big day absolutely perfect! We wouldn’t have changed a thing. As for the breakfast ! It was so good ! We loved not knowing what we were going to get and really enjoyed the amount of work that went into it. It’s a beautiful property and everyone that works there loves what they do. Wish we were closer to pop in for for a vacation !

We drove down from Calgary to get a little r&r and some peace and quiet. We arrived around 9pm which is after they normally close the front desk at 6pm. Someone from Inn called is in advance and explained the process when you are arriving late and confirmed when we would like our breakfast brought to our room in the morning but had our keys and everything already prepared and left out for us when we arrived. The room was big and we loved that the shower/bath was actually apart of the bedroom…. when is the last time you had a bubble bath and watched a movie haha…. so cool! Bed was super comfy, and we had a peaceful sleep. Now, let’s talk about this breakfast! I love food, and this breakfast was perfect! It had a little bit of everything… the fried egg creation had sweet potatoes, salsa, beans and a tortilla at the bottom. There was also a granola and yogurt side but most of the granola was replaced with all different kind of nuts and topped with a strawberry - delicious! Then, for the end, a fresh fruit bowl along with fresh French press coffee and orange juice. If we had ordered this anywhere else, it would have easily cost around $60.00, so factoring that in, this was place extremely affordable and exactly what we needed for a night off from the kids! We would definitely recommend this place!
