Pauline's cottage is our favorite place to come and rest. She provides everything we could possibly want or need and she is so good to our dogs. Can't say enough good about her.

Had a few glitches that were worked out immediately amazing friendly accommodating staff. Love the location. Easy to get to. Very quiet
The staff is wonderful & they even had a surprise doggie bag when we checked in with treats & poop bags with a case! The rooms are always super clean & the beds are amazing! My husband & I have stayed a few times as a little getaway & look forward to staying there again!
Having stayed there for several days over the past 5 years, I can admit it's an excellent, quite, clean and worthy choice. The staff will not bother you at all, always there to help you. I enjoyed their free-for-all jacuzzi and pool. Nice place near Elk Lake and Saanich. Bus stop almost outside.
The receptionist staff were not welcoming whatsoever. I wanted to ask a quick question but was left waiting to the point where I decided to walk away. I attended a professional event in the banquet hall. The room was a little dated in regards to the furniture and carpeting. The serving staff, in contrast to the receptionists, were excellent! The food served was mediocre but I enjoyed the varied selection...
Had a great experience here and I've never seen a hotel so accommodating to pets. We had a room with outdoor access and they prepared it by covering the couch with a sheet and provided a spare towel for our 4 legged family member. It definitely made us feel welcome and happy to stay.
The restaurant is great, it's called The Lakes and they have good breakfasts. The dinner is alright, but I like them mostly for breakfast/brunch. They can be really busy around noon, so the earlier the better.

It's normal motel for this money. It's nothing extra, just good stay at night.
We've stayed here before. No surprises. It is an economy hotel...just as advertised. It is clean and staff is helpful.
The front desk person, Aidan, was really nice and welcoming. Was always ready to help.
clean rooms, quaint old style restaurant with good food. Nice staff
Got a surprise when I checked in. Turns out even though I made the reservation using a Canadian credit card the rate shown were in us funds so the night was another 35% more.
It was difficult to enter the property from the South as the highway at this location is marked with double yellow lines, which in most duristrictions means you cannot cross the center line at this location. Entering the property involved turning around

Nice room, close to the airport and lots of places nearby for food. Free shuttle
Staff were friendly and good. Location is very convenient to lots of food options. Room is in dire need of refresh/remodeling. Pillows smell like someone has been sweating in them for months. Carpet in the room looks very dirty as well. Very expensive for what we paid for 1 night.
The two gentlemen working at the front desk upon evening check in were so fantastic and kind!
Remember to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking a hotel. This website will compare countless hotel sites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the best in the area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you won't be disappointed. The hotel location is convenient for dining. The front desk staff is professional and...
This location is close to the airport and conveniently located to local amenities. The rooms and hotel are clean, but are starting to show their age. I want to give a very special service shout out to the wonderful host/server who runs the breakfast service. She was amazing, kind, thoughtful and fast. She was managing the front of house like a BOSS and everyone was so well cared for. The back...
Excellent hotel near the airport with an overnight shuttle service for the flights arriving late at night. Moreover, I was especially impressed with the customer service. I initially booked for the wrong night and the booking agency said they would change the date but never did. Even though, the initial booking date has passed, the manager offered us a credit for another night so we were able to avoid...

Cambie Hostel Nanaimo
Nanaimo, 63 Victoria Crescent 🧭 Map
This place used to be my stomping grounds so to say as I lived here all my life. The Cambie is ok for myself to sit and relax during the day hours. The nights usually seem geared for the younger generation and it should be. I stood in there one night a year ago in 2019 with the loudest music i ever heard in this place. It was vibrating and totally not my thing. Not sure what kind of music it was. Wild...
The rooms left me wishing more, so simple but whatever just slept one night there, also the music is bumpin hard (it was metal karaoke night) but good thing is that it finished at midnight on dot. The bar is cool tho and the bathrooms are trippy. Nice treatment by the staff too.
Looked in with my wife for a couple of beers during the afternoon having read reviews. It was dark and very much a 'dive' and she wasn't too impressed to start with. Great choice of beers, good music through the speakers, what's not to like? By the time we left she loved it.
This place was awesome! Huge, lots of things to do, a stage, and friendly bartenders. We went on Thursday evening and the girls behind the bar were awesome. Cool art in the bathrooms, if that matters to you. TONS of different types of beer. Might come to the island again just so we can go back!
We didn't feel well but wenn didn't feel unwell. It is an old Hostel and you can see that but you can arrange with it.
Attended a meeting in one of the conference rooms. I've stayed here before and it's lovely. Great rooms and great food in the restaurant.

The hotel is close to capstan station and also has a factory outlet close by. The room was clean and worth the money. Room service was done each day which was great.
We stayed there for five nights in total. The last two days were pretty good though there were some bumpy issue happened in the first three nights.
Staff were great. Quick and easy check in. Free shuttle from airport also helpful.
While I understand Air Conditioning may not be needed a ton here in Vancouver, Canada, but our room AC was weak and pathetic. By the time we settled from the airport and in our room, it was already 10:30'ish and we went straight to the restaurant onsite. The AC did not get our room cool enough so it was uncomfortable. The restaurant was mediocre and service was also mediocre. Way overpriced. Way...
Nice and clean but was not informed about the amenities on the top floor. Even when checking in we were not advised on the perks of having a room on the top floor.
The Radisson is close to the airport, has a shuttle service, has clean room, rooms, and comfortable beds, and the front desk service was very good. It was also the most reasonable hotel and what can only be called a rapacious Vancouver environment. I would stay here again if I Needed to.

Right away you can tell it is not a chain hotel.  Super friendly staff,  very thoughtful.  Stayed there after my wife and I tied the knot.  They left a handwritten note and a nice tray of snacks in our room.  The parking would be inconvenient for some travellers with a pickup or suv with a storage box up top.  Our Chrysler Pacifica with Thule box barely fit in the buildings parking.  Valet parking...
Love it here! Excellent service, feel welcoming at all times. Perfect location for Richmond night market less than 5 minutes walk. The hot tub and swimming pool is quite relaxing ( when it's not crowded) Overall, great experience recommended.
Very spacious bathroom, food lighting and convenient light switched. Dyson hairdryer adds bonus point.
Booked a superior room specifically for the soaker bathtub only for the hotel to tell us there was a system error and we paid extra for a lower level room room without a bathtub. This was our anniversary and this is such a huge letdown. The two complimentary breakfasts don't make up for this. Don't think I'll come back again.
The staff are super friendly but there is a smell inside the room. It’s probably from the previous guests.
Very modern, clean hotel and front desk staff were super friendly and helpful.

Stayed for 2 nights before our flight. Good place if you want to be near the airport .They have airport shuttle every 30 mins. which is very convenient for us with luggage’s and kids in tow. Modest breakfast selections. There are some fast food restaurants near the area. Train station is also walkable.
The location is excellent. The room is clean. The staff is helpful.
Our room was small but nice. Employees friendly and helpful. Included breakfast is ok, maybe avoid the sausages.
The experience here was delightful. The staff were friendly, rooms clean and was able to get a room upgrade. They had a paid shuttle to the cruise port and free shuttle from airport. Special touches was the apple cinnamon waffles and pineapple coconut water for breakfast. All made our stay enjoyable.
I booked this hotel for the first night we were in Vancouver because it was close to the airport and I've stayed in the Hampton Inn in several cities in the US which have all been quite nice. Most of the employees were friendly and helpful. Parking is free and just outside the entrance to the hotel. Breakfast is complimentary with a variety of foods: cereal, bread, muffins, bagels, scrambled & boiled...
We have also stayed at the Hampton Inn near Kelowna airport and there was a distinct difference. The front desk staff at this hotel are not friendly and seem disinterested. We were not welcomed by text when we arrived or communicated with at all. The room was clean though and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was okay but only mild weak blend coffee was available not medium or dark...

Hotel location is excellent if you like taking metro. It is right at the metro station Bridgeport. You can take metro to Vancouver or Richmond conveniently everywhere. The room cleanliness was quite good but there were quite some dusts at the top of vanity mirror and lamps. Our room is a double queen beds room with decent room size and bath tub. It is comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay...
There are less restaurant around hotel. The hotel has food corte in ****** but the seat and desk is not enough. The location is good and access from train station is perfect. Also they have pool and hot tab. It was good for us.
My hubby & i arrived past 10pm for check in. Checking in was not easy as I forgot my credit card & d front desk girl w/ an Eastern Europe accent said that she can’t check me in unless i present a credit card for a $100 deposit + resort fees. I said I paid for d room already but she won’t hear of it unless i present a cred.card. My friend volunteered to use her card for security deposit. Checked out...
The hotel was a busy place due to the ****** and the most difficult to do when you arrived in the hotel is to find a parking; it was so busy that their parking lot was full. Also, you have to walk 8 minutes from the parking lot going to hotel’s main lobby. The hotel was clean and amenities were great. However, only one elevator was working going to our room. It was okay overall.
The resort’s location is incredibly convenient, close to both the airport and downtown. The hotel restaurant offers a stunning waterfront view. While the facilities are quite old, the overall stay experience was pleasant.
The River Rock Resort was a fantastic weekend getaway. From the waterfront location, to fine dining, to swimming and sliding, this place has it all.

All satisfied with the hotel but not Trip.com where we booked in this hotel, we have to pay for the breakfast when booking with Trip.com, but indeed the hotel offers complementary breakfast, we are eating the same things paid or not paid. I think this is the problem rested with Trip.com taking advantage of tourists not familiar with local practice charging us expensive "supposed to be free" breakfast
Great location and price.   Good breakfast.   Good Wifi.
Bad service attitude. The shuttle bus to the airport cannot wait for the customers for even 1 minute.
We booked this as it was close the Vancouver airport- the shuttle was fully booked for our time so the hotel arranged a Taxi with any thought and a no cost to us .. service above and beyond . Good room light and clean lovely bathroom etc. Breakfast included was excellent. The only problem we realised when we got to Vancouver international we should have been at Abbotsford .. an hour &half away ..
Friendly n caring team, will come again 🙂
The comfort of the room, breakfast included & easy transport links.

Very close to airport, walking distance to MacDonald. Free coffee or hot chocolate.
this hotel room is clean and spacious with free shuttle bus service to YVR airport
Nice place to stay. great location and useful to have the water and coffee dispenser in the lobby... and the coin laundry facility. our kids love the ducks too!
Service from the staff are amazing. The inn is very near the airport. I love the vibe of the inn. Some cafes and McDonald’s are in walkable distance. My stay here was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Vancouver. They do have complimentary coffee, teas and the best hot chocolate ever in the lobby.
It was a wonderful hotel to stay in during transit, the room was clean, today and quiet. The staff was friendly and respond to our need quickly. Airport transfer was convenient, quick, and frequent. It was a good choice with value for money.
From the moment I opened the door to my room, I felt so at home and comfortable. The lighting around the bed made the perfect amount of brightness for casually lounging in the room. Honestly I would love the bed and headboard for my own house! Plentiful outlets and USB ports for charging devices.  The TV was huge. I enjoyed a hot bath complete with a rubber duck! Theres a vending machine with lots...

We used this as a one night stop over before catching an early morning ferry. The room was rather outdated but clean and comfortable which is all we needed. 3 mins to the ferry terminal so no need to add extra travel time for city traffic. Easy to get into the city from. As others have said friendly welcome and helpful staff at reception . Not sure I’d stay more than 2 nights here but if you are just...
An absolute diamond in the rough, Departure bay is in between renovating but without the construction. The customer service from the front desk was a testament to Canadian hospitality and due to arriving early we were offered our choice of the rooms with guided tour before selecting. Room 19 had been freshly renovated, a nice clean room with a modern en-suite, smart TV, mini fridge, coffee and a...
We thought the staff nice and helpful. The room was very dated, but clean. The bed was not very comfy and we could smell cigarette smoke from other rooms.
Clean and close to lot of interesting places! Liked the price and the people working there!
Business When I come into town for work, Departure Bay is always one of the hotels that I check for availability. The staff is always friendly, professional and well informed about the area.
The staff was very friendly and professional. The room could use a little updating. Overall my daughter and i thought it was a decent place

Bev & Sandy are the kind of people that make this world a better place! Their B&B is perfect! I love all the little extra detail and attention they provided and I was very grateful for everything! Thank you! Cheers!
Bev and Sandy are wonderful and they accommodated my family so we could all be together for Christmas. They rearranged furniture so there was room for the kids and the dog and made sure we had everything we needed. It has a private entrance, parking right in front for easy access and a lovely outdoor area. I recommend Bev & Sandy's Place!
My husband & I stayed at Bev & Sandy's B &B recently & have nothing but good things to say. The 10 days we spent here was incredibly enjoyable & relaxing. Bev & Sandy themselves are a very nice couple, very much respectful of their guests' privacy, but very friendly & open at the same time. This alone was important to us. They have all sorts of bits & bobs around the B&B which gives everything a...
If there is 4.6 rating I would have given it. Hosts are amazing. Gave us tons of useful local advice and brochures. Place very clean and functional. A nice back yard. Hosts allowed kids to use back yard zipline and trampoline.

I'm staying here as I'm posting this review, felt it was right to give credit where it was due. This place is a nice affordable hidden gem. Came here for work but got the relaxation I needed and will hopefully bring the wife back here next time. The complimentary breakfast was well thought out and appreciate it a lot, felt like my mom was looking after me. ☺️Thanks so much again!
