So happy they had a vacancy. It's been over 20 years since I was last through Golden - Wow, big changes including the Holiday Inn. Beautiful spacious room, very clean, super front desk Associates and Excellent breakfast before getting back on the road.

Outrageously overpriced. Rooms clean but halls and common areas not. “Hot” tub was almost the same temperature as the pool and luke warm. Breakfast was just barely edible.

If not of the Asian lady who managed and refilled the breakfast buffet, who was really friendly, this hotel would only have 2 stars. I was the one who greeted the front desk staff and not even a smile on her face. All of their ice machine box were not working, 1st to 3rd floor. New and clean hotel. Only complaint t was the fitness centers out of order and the pool/hot tub area had a pretty bad odor. All in all it was a nice hotel.

Location is very new, clean and great beds! Staff is very attentive and the breakfast is awesome. After having a nightmare experience at another local motel and checked out immediately, came here with no expectations and was very happy I did! Great place to stay for business or with family!

I think this place was amazing. The rooms were very tidy and nice and the beds were super comfy. The staff was super nice and welcoming along with the cleaning staff. The breakfast was great and they had a variety of different options. The pool and hot tub were also really enjoyable. Would reccomend

Great discount motel. Friendly check-in staff. Friendly cleaning lady. Off-street parking. Wifi was good. Rooms are old, however, they are clean and also super cheap! I'm surprised anyone complains about the place. The value is great :)

Stayed for one night with my dog. Room as expected for a motel, nothing fancy, but ok and clean. Staff were nice. Checkout is at 11, small dogs cost 25, big ones 45. Room price was a bit pricey I thought for it being off season. Motel is in walking distance to the town and has a nice view of the mountains.

Best value in town. Typically hotels.are.way over priced near ski hills. This one isn't. Don't expect 5 star amenities at 2 star prices. The place is just around the corner from downtown so an easy walk. The staff were friendly and attentive. Great value for the price.

Cheap and cheerful. A basic large motel with all economy-grade amenities. Warm, friendly staff. Clean, convenient. Very reasonable price. Recommended.

An outdated hotel that does the trick but isn’t much of a getaway. Good for a budget ski trip or other adventure where camping isn’t an option. Beds are old, furniture is old, towels are old, soap smells odd, but it isn’t expensive (for a tourist stop). Service was good!

Comfortable place just off the main trans canada highway. Breakfast included. There's wifi and a pool open until 10pm. The town of Golden is a just a short 3 minute drive away and there you'll find the Kicking Horse River Pedestrian Bridge and bars and restaurants for an evening meal. If you've been on the slopes or travelling a lot there's also a laundromat on site.

I booked online, checked in with my phone and once I got to the desk (during a very busy time) they just verified information and added a credit card to the file and done! Location is perfect with all necessary amenities close by. Hotel and room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Good breakfast, hot tub and vending machines. Check is was super fast and efficient. I would definitely stay again!

The room was nice and the bed was great. Breakfast was mediocre. There was no protein so it doesn't really stay.with you. Other than that, the hotel was good.

Had a very nice stay. Lobby is nice and check in was easy. They have a good breakfast with waffles, fruit, yogurt, toast, bagels and cereal. The room was good size and clean. Bed was firm, which I like. Looks like the rooms had been painted in the last year, but the caulk around the base of the tub was getting funky. Overall it was a good place to stay and I would recommend it.

Stayed here in mid august with the family on a road trip. Breakfast was pretty good. The pool and hot tub were great. View was awesome. Staff was good. Had pizza from the attached restaurant which was good and a great value. A tad pricey for my frugal behind but seemed competitive. Room was very large. Would stay again.

Very pleasantly surprised! This motel doesn't look like much on the outside, but at every turn it surprises! The rooms are well appointed with an ac, clean bathroom, and comfy beds. It was great to have a pool, hot tub and sauna! on a wintry day. The bed was fine, clean and we appreciated the kitchenette too. The heater was hard to figure out tho, and the toilet was for children's height, LOL😄 Breakfast was great, lots of variety. We would go again.

This was a great hotel for a value spot on our ski trip! Our stay was great. On arrival the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable after our long trip from the UK. We woke up the next day and had some breakfast which was fantastic for being included in the price. (I don't know how people moan about it.) Overall we were very happy with our stay and if we passed through again we would stay again.

Had a sudden change in plans on our travels and needed to stop for the night in Golden since the highways were closed after 10pm. This Travelodge was able to accomodate us for the night at a reasonable rate and unexpectedly. It definitely wasn't a 5 star hotel, but it was a clean bed for the night. Staff was friendly & kind. Room was clean. However, my daughter mentioned that the pool water was really cold & the walls are very paper thin. Had noisy neighbors outside & inside of the two suites, left & right side of me. Called front desk, nothing was done satisfactory. I was up til 1 am, listening to people sitting outside of my door & little kids playing & yelling inside of the suite.

Stayed for two nights in early October 2017. Found that rooms were nicely clean, staff very helpful and accommodating, the pool (with waterside!) and hot tub were a nice way to relax in evenings and help burn energy for the young kids travelling with us, and that the continental breakfast had a good selection- my favourite part was the waffle maker. Excellent service nice rooms a swimming pool they even have a tesla charging station. Good parking even for campers and big rigs. Lots of close by restaurants within walking distance. Overall two thumbs up

Bed was surprisingly comfy. Decent size rooms. Overall not bad for the price. I'd say the major downside was where I had to take a 3 hour detour when they closed the main highway just 10 min from the town one night.

Fair enough for the price...but cleaning standards are lower here. We really enjoyed the extra mystery hair and nail clippings found behind the sink fawcett! And I am sure the absent smoke detector isn't to Code, not to mention unsafe.

They were so nice and accommodating here. Refunded our reso after getting caught behind an avalanche and when we arrived the next night, gave us a discount coupon to use at a restaurant in town. The room had a very nice, comfy comforter on the bed. Small but clean. WiFi spotty so download your movie before you come. Awesome for the price. If u want brand new, you can pay double at a chain hotel.

Hey, this place doesn't look like much from the outside but the beds are super comfy, they have a kitchen and it's pretty quiet. Also close to all the restaurants and pubs in Golden. Definitely a great deal for the price! PS stay in town rather than on the hill - way more fun.

It's exactly what you're expecting in a ski motel. Cheap and cheerful. Seemed fairly clean. Rooms are large. Bed was decently comfortable. No shampoo.

We stopped by the lodge on our way from Kelowna for one night. Room was spacious for two adults & three kids, neat, tasty breakfast, friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. A hidden gem in the middle of the mountain. Will be back for sure

This is such a wonderful B&B; I'll be recommending this location to everyone I know passing through. Everything about our stay was a great experience. The hosts are extremely accommodating; the views and the location itself are inexplicably beautiful. The breakfast is healthy, abundant, and very delicious!! I'll definitely be returning.

We stayed at Kapristo Lodge in September 2018. It is the most perfect B&B. The owner is a charming lady who is exceptionally hospitable. We stayed in the Cougar Room which is impeccably furnished. The very large bed was very comfortable and we had a wonderful sleep. Breakfast the next morning was very tasty. I will definitely be coming back to stay!!!

I was at Kapristo lodge to pick up a friend who was staying there. From what I could tell it's a nice little lodge in a beautiful spot.

Only 1 bad thing I can say is we only stayed one night. Other than that it was super spacious, lots of beds and room and tiny little kids are and beautiful views all around we are hoping to go back next year and stay for longer

Have had multiple great stays here. Each cabin has all you need, comfy and cozy. Close to rafting, hiking, and even zip lining if so inclined! Love being in the mountains. 😊

The cabin I stayed in was extremely clean and warm when I got there. The instructions I was sent prior to my arrival were spot on and firewood was available to purchase at a reasonable price. Great place. Clean. Spacious common areas and restrooms. High pressure, hot showers. The wooden frame around the bunk bed was a bit uncomfortable because I am very tall. The train goes through Golden in the middle of the night, so earplugs/closing windows is recommended to sleep well. As stated on the website, linens/towels are provided. Bring clean flip flops (no shoes allowed).

Nice hostel, well located near restaurants, cafes and walkpaths. Like every town along Hwy 1, expect the sound of the trains and the hwy traffic at all times of the day and night. But still don't dismiss stopping at this hostel as the comfort, privacy and cleanliness in the dorm room and common areas makes up for it.
