Super 8 by Wyndham Mississauga

I booked on short notice as my flight was cancelled. When I arrived, the man demanded I pay and extra $250 dollar deposit and that it would be refunded immediately. I explained that I didn’t have that kind of money so we came to an agreement where I payed all I had bar $40. As soon as the payment accepted the man said it would take 3-4 working days to go back into my account?!?! This was on the 19th august and I’m still waiting for my refund.

The rooms and staff are friendly and courteous. However, very very few options in breakfast and the menu doesn't change - which is boring. No eggs/meat options. The pancake machine didn't work half the time. Also, no kettle was provided in the rooms. We do have free coffee in the store though which was good. The Wifi works well. Just a Tim Hortons close by, no good place to eat lunch/dinner. Overall a decent place to stay if you get a good price.

A rather middle-of-the-road hotel.

I have stayed here on a number of occasions in the past. But, this time, I was sad to see that it's quality has come down a few notches since I was there last.

Though I was happy that they still served complimentary breakfast (most hotels don't, these days,  especially post-Covid), it is now a far cry, compared to how elaborate it was previously.

They also seem to have done away with a coffeemakers in the rooms these days. If one wants coffee, one has to go all the way down to the gas station, which is within the premises, to get it. Though it is free and available 24 hours a day, it is still an inconvenience.

The day before I checked in, I was told that every room had an iron and an ironing table. But, sadly, there were none. At least, not in the room that I checked in.

The only positives seem to be the reasonable prices, the ample parking, and the fact that this hotel is just next to a gas station.

You get why you pay for...no fridge or microwave, very loud fan in bathroom, front desk doesn't answer calls and doesnt know info of tourist attractions
