Delta Hotels by Marriott Bessborough

DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE!!! My husband & I received nothing but the poorest of services from the Delta Bessborough. They were difficult to communicate with & provided next to no support during the entire process. After having to unfortunately postpone our wedding due to the pandemic, they decided to hit us with a 48% increase in price from our original contract & did this only a few months prior to our wedding, leaving us no time to change venues. We arranged a meeting to discuss this absurd charge & they were very rude & impersonal, & would not give us our original price, even though every other vendor/service we had did in fact honour their original price. Further, we discussed & agreed upon many details for our wedding day, & not only did they mess multiple things up, but there was no support on the wedding day to have them rectify any of their mistakes. Their wedding pamphlet states "complimentary valet parking" for the bride & groom, but not only did they tell us this service was “unavailable” on our wedding day, there was not a single parking space open in their parking lot, including the spots reserved for “valet parking.” For this reason, I had to park on the street in paid parking zones. The next morning, I completely forgot to pay for parking as it was my wedding day & that was obviously the last thing on my mind; & I got a ticket. We spoke to the front desk, gave them the ticket, & they assured us it would be paid for. 3 months later & I receive a letter in the mail stating that they ticket is still unpaid & I have failed to attend my court date. This is just a few of the many reasons why I would never recommend the Delta Bessborough to anyone. Please just save yourself the hassle & go elsewhere.

Not impressed. Front desk manager not interested in helping. No dinner restaurant - bar dining with food that's mediocre at best. NO FOOD AT ALL AVAILABLE AFTER 9pm. Very poor beer selection - your usual US/CAN longneck lager suspects, Stella, a stout and a - lentil beer...? Breakfast not included and overpriced. Kudos to most of the staff though - professional and courteous. The pool area is complimentary and really great - but since this joint is labeled a "spa", one idea could be to turn on the sauna, especially when outside temps are below 20. Parking not plowed despite 2 major snowstorms moving through the area. Will not stay again.
