Absolutely amazing hotel. Perfect location with rooms overlooking the river. Plenty of parking. Reception staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Housekeeping are amazing too. We stayed on two occasions recently - first in a one bed suite, then a two bed suite - large spaces with gorgeous marble bathrooms, beautifully decorated with plenty of storage and chests of drawers which most hotels seem to lack. L’Occitane products in the bathrooms.

What a great hotel!! Everything was perfect including the front desk, room, city view and then the breakfast! The staff really knows how to treat you well.

Rooms weren't anything special. We were expecting a balcony because the site said all rooms came with one. We are assuming we misread something. Rooms were really clean though and the service from the staff was amazing. Great location right down by the river. We walked where ever we wanted to go. If someone could actually put good tasting coffee in hotel rooms it would be even better.

We had a wonderful staycation at the James. Everything was immaculately clean, the service was exceptional, and the beds were perhaps the most comfortable I've ever been in. The morning breakfast was to die for, and the lobby bar is a hidden gem and a must-visit spot in the city.
The location is great, but take note that summer evenings can bear some noisy streets from motorcycles/cars revving through downtown. Fortunately, the room had great soundproofing and with the balcony door closed, we couldn't hear a thing.

From the moment they opened the door for us and until they waved us goodbye the staff made us feel welcome with their smiles. It was our first trip to Saskatoon and we couldn't have had a better experience. The hotel has all the luxury and amenities but it is the personal feel that makes it so special. The location is central, close to downtown, restaurants and the river walk. The view from our window called to us to explore the river walk in both directions at every opportunity and time of day . The breakfast was included and is the best of any hotel we've stayed in. The breakfast room is sunny, the waiters attentive and the chefs personally made the eggs to order and the selection at the buffet was comprehensive. The room was immaculate and the bed was beyond comfortable -amazing! The days and nights at the your hotel were fun and memorable and we will certainly recommend it to anyone travelling to your city. And again our thanks to all your wonderful staff. Thank you.

Great view of the South Saskatchewan River from our 10th floor King Suite. Spacious room and the separate living room, with access to the balcony was much appreciated and comforting, allowing one to just "chill". The Lavazzo in-room coffee machine made the best coffee we have ever had in a hotel room, combined with the breathtaking view of the river and the sunrise, helped to ease us into each day. Small number of suites per floor helping to create a quiet environment. Staff "jumped" to help whenever one arrived or left the lobby, and were prompt and efficient with check-in and check-out.

We just finished our stay at The James Hotel. The staff were excellent and the location of the hotel is fantastic. The rooms are in great condition and the linens were great. The breakfast food was also delicious!
I do think that the hotel is overpriced for what you get. There were a couple things that were frustrating. We wanted to go down for drinks at the lounge but there was repeatedly no seating. We also experienced this same issue at breakfast with long lines to sit down. I don't think the hotel has adequate space to accomodate the guest capacity for the dining/lounge experience. I also think the layouts are quite odd and you feel quite crammed in those areas. My only other complaint is the toilet paper. Really rough and doesn't align with the comfort of the hotel.
All in all - it was an okay experience. We enjoyed our stay but given the price - I don't think we would come again.

This was by far the biggest surprise for a hotel in Saskatoon. If you were tired and wanted to purchase rest and rejuvenation this is a place to book a room. The beds and linens are extraordinary. The room temperature and engineered air quality made it feel like you were sleeping with the window open on a clear spring morning. Then to top it off the breakfast was gourmet.
