Where to stay in Altenberg

Wonderful hotel and a really relaxing, chill planned to stay whether b with family or just on your own.

We liked the moderate room (not big, but clean), and the restaurant. The food was tasty, reasonable prices and the stuff was friendly.

Was from the 06.09.2016 to 09.09.2016 in the Hotel mill shop. It was the third time. The Hotel is wonderful. You can say the middle of the forest. It is very quiet. The rooms are simply furnished, are clean. The staff is very friendly. Good civil kitchen. Go on back there.

I'm already in the mill for the second Time in the shop and can only say: around. Going to book in the autumn for a third Time a couple of days and am looking forward to it.

Staff were friendly. Room was clean, quiet and spacious. Were able to use swimming pool after the checkout time.

In this class a very good hotel. Rooms are clean. Staff is friendly and service oriented. Prices are fair. A swimming pool is included. The area around provides great possibilities to hike, ride a bicycle or do other sports. Prag as well Dresden are close.

A friend and I wanted a relaxing weekend away and booked the wellness packet. It was super lovely and would recommend it to nearly anyone. The hotel is also very child and dog friendly so you need to be ok with the occasional family and their pooch walking past (like is the case in most of Germany, the children and dogs were well behaved). We went in February so there was snow everywhere even though...

Great location for relax (nature all around), bus stop in front of the hotel, clean, standard room with very small bathroom, clean pools, great staff. Tasty rich buffet breakfast, good beer (not the "Pils" one but the Benediktiner one). But the Glück-Auf restaurant. I understand there were not so many guests now but still, with the location and woods around, I would expect fresh meals from local ingredients...

Nice place and good hotel. The breakfast was really delicious with a good choice. But the rooms are quite old and sound isolation wasn't so well.

Nice hotel. Family typ, not new but well maintained and clean. Most of the other reviews are truth.

An excellent hotel which caters well for a variety of people: groups, couples, families. Very good range of food and good quality. Good facilities all round , covering all weather possibilities. Lovely setting

Good, quiet location. Swimming pool and sauna clean. Functionally furnished room. Cleanliness could be better in the room (cobwebs and dust behind the corpses, not from today and yesterday). We are not used to that from 4 * hotels. Very good breakfast and dinner menu.

Lovely building with very helpful and pleasant staff. The room is large and very comfortable. Excellent views of the countryside from the balcony. A very nice place to be.

Located in a small Village, it provides plenty of parking spaces, great food, nice Service and lots of silence. It has a small indoor Pool and some awesome massage Options available. The rooms are clean and have a rather large balkony. I very much recommend this Hotel.

Schönes Ambiente inmitten der Natur. Zimmer und Bad geräumig, sauber und mit Balkon. Rezeptionistin aber leider unfreundlich. Bedienung in Ordnung. Hochzeitsdeko schön. Buffet größtenteils gut, aber nicht ausreichend für Anzahl der Gäste.

One of the best inns I have ever visited. Super nice and attentive staff, drinks and food brought quickly, dishes definitely homemade and no ready-made products. Each of us tasted absolutely delicious and the portions were actually too much. An absolute recommendation from me. Keep it up

Why won't 2G adhered to? Food was great but it was a queasy feeling when visiting. A note to fill out is not enough. All four of us were vaccinated. And the other guests. A cross is set quickly. Too bad.

We ate at the restaurant 2 out of 7 days, which means it was very good. The burger and the hirschbraten are definitely to try for any non-vegitarians.

Rustic design. Rooms are comfy and clean, up to date interiour. Meals are tasty but nothing special, and a little on the expensive side. Staff is friendly and competent, no complaints.

After repeated visits we are always thrilled with the excellent food and always nice staff. Thank You Very Much.

If we travel with family to Germany, we hold to eat almost always at the Gasthof Bärenfels. The food is always very tasty and the Service is friendly.

Very friendly and owner-run guest house. To recommend the peace and quiet and individual excursion for all those to appreciate tips knowledge and it is rather better to be small and fine like.

It was just great. I need in the holiday no luxury facilities in the room. I would like to experience something and me not in the room. And thus, the equipment enough. The main thing is that it is clean. The beds are located and it is quiet. AND THAT'S IT. The innkeepers are very friendly and fulfill special requests. The Breakfast was more than adequate. It was a day of cheese, sausage, jam, bread...

A very nice and quiet hotel with lots of hiking opportunities right on the doorstep. I felt very comfortable in the hotel, the service was very courteous and friendly. The rooms are simple, but very comfortably furnished. Especially in the cold and dark seasons, I was looking forward to the swimming pool and the sauna. All in all very recommendable.

Nice little hotel with delicious food and great staff! I felt very well. The rooms are clean and tidy, albeit a little "old". The sun terrace and also the pool and the sauna were nice.

Very nice hotel with simple but comfortable rooms. Halbpension was awesome, the dinner menu is always changing day-to-day, and the meals were always filling and delicious. Big selection of dishes, including vegetarian options as well. Very nice amenities as well. Nice area around the hotel, plenty of nature and closeby there are nice hikes and sightseeing locations. Internet in the rooms is fast...

We stayed here with a group event from work. It was very nice, very nice staff, a good hearty breakfast and dinner. The room was very comfortable and the atmosphere is very friendly. Thank you. I will try to come again.

Very quiet and calm hotel with wonderful views. It's located in a small village close to Altenberg. The rooms are not so big, but comfortable enough for 2 persons. There are some weak points such as the mattress quality, I found it too old. The swimming pool stream was broken and the curtains of the room don't hide the light in the morning. The breakfast is quite good and dinner is also quite tasty...

We were there for dinner... If you are looking for delicious, inexpensive home cooking, this is the place for you and you will get your money's worth. Super delicious, generous portions and value for money 👍🏻 The dining room is not the most modern and cosiest, but that didn't bother us. We received friendly service and didn't have to wait long. Very nice landscape in the middle of the forest, good for travelers with fur noses. At this time of year an insider tip for mushroom pickers. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied.

The surroundings are beautiful, the three of us (each of us ordered something different) liked the food very much and it was very plentiful, the service is on the ball and very nice, the price/performance ratio is still cheap at the moment

Rustic accommodation with a special charm. Restaurant with decent portions and home cooking. Very tasty. We'll be back. Sufficient parking spaces available.

We are passing through from Hoogezand (Groningen) Holland to karpacz and had a wonderful stay of 2 nights at hostel im osterzgebirge (Altenberg) Deutsland what a nice accommodation and nice people how they run everything it's like sitting in your own living room with friends. We will definitely stay here again on the way back. We regularly sleep in hotels, but sleeping here was much better.

Here you can only give 5 stars because it is a hostel and the term is lived. Clean rooms, great value for money and we as a family of 5 felt comfortable from the first day. Super dear hostel operators and a very good location to do something in singing and the surrounding area. That's all it takes to be happy, yes, outside toilet and shower, that's why it's also a hostel. Breakfast has everything you...

Great and kind owners always help you with good hiking advice or veg meal:) Good atmosphere. Nice place in beautiful surroundings:)
