Where to stay in Altenberg

A friend and I wanted a relaxing weekend away and booked the wellness packet. It was super lovely and would recommend it to nearly anyone. The hotel is also very child and dog friendly so you need to be ok with the occasional family and their pooch walking past (like is the case in most of Germany, the children and dogs were well behaved). Great location for relax (nature all around), bus stop in front of the hotel, clean, standard room with very small bathroom, clean pools, great staff. Tasty rich buffet breakfast, good beer (not the "Pils" one but the Benediktiner one). But the Glück-Auf restaurant. I understand there were not so many guests now but still, with the location and woods around, I would expect fresh meals from local ingredients...

Nice place and good hotel. The breakfast was really delicious with a good choice. But the rooms are quite old and sound isolation wasn't so well.

In this class a very good hotel. Rooms are clean. Staff is friendly and service oriented. Prices are fair. A swimming pool is included. The area around provides great possibilities to hike, ride a bicycle or do other sports. Prag as well Dresden are close.

A very nice and quiet hotel with lots of hiking opportunities right on the doorstep. I felt very comfortable in the hotel, the service was very courteous and friendly. The rooms are simple, but very comfortably furnished. Especially in the cold and dark seasons, I was looking forward to the swimming pool and the sauna. All in all very recommendable.

Nice little hotel with delicious food and great staff! I felt very well. The rooms are clean and tidy, albeit a little "old". The sun terrace and also the pool and the sauna were nice.

Very nice hotel with simple but comfortable rooms. Halbpension was awesome, the dinner menu is always changing day-to-day, and the meals were always filling and delicious. Big selection of dishes, including vegetarian options as well. Very nice amenities as well. Nice area around the hotel, plenty of nature and closeby there are nice hikes and sightseeing locations. We stayed here with a group event from work. It was very nice, very nice staff, a good hearty breakfast and dinner. The room was very comfortable and the atmosphere is very friendly. Thank you. I will try to come again.

Very quiet and calm hotel with wonderful views. It's located in a small village close to Altenberg. The rooms are not so big, but comfortable enough for 2 persons. There are some weak points such as the mattress quality, I found it too old. The swimming pool stream was broken and the curtains of the room don't hide the light in the morning. The breakfast is quite good and dinner is also quite tasty...

We liked the moderate room (not big, but clean), and the restaurant. The food was tasty, reasonable prices and the stuff was friendly.

Hood breakfast. Room was a bit tiny. Television is an old fashioned tube tv.

Was from the 06.09.2016 to 09.09.2016 in the Hotel mill shop. It was the third time. The Hotel is wonderful. You can say the middle of the forest. It is very quiet. The rooms are simply furnished, are clean. The staff is very friendly. Good civil kitchen. Go on back there.

I'm already in the mill for the second Time in the shop and can only say: around. Going to book in the autumn for a third Time a couple of days and am looking forward to it.

Good, quiet location. Swimming pool and sauna clean. Functionally furnished room. Cleanliness could be better in the room (cobwebs and dust behind the corpses, not from today and yesterday). We are not used to that from 4 * hotels. Very good breakfast and dinner menu.

Lovely building with very helpful and pleasant staff. The room is large and very comfortable. Excellent views of the countryside from the balcony. A very nice place to be.

Located in a small Village, it provides plenty of parking spaces, great food, nice Service and lots of silence. It has a small indoor Pool and some awesome massage Options available. The rooms are clean and have a rather large balkony. I very much recommend this Hotel.

This was our third time staying with the Kempe family at the Gasthaus Bärenfels. Twice in the winter and this time in the spring. This family-run hotel has excellent cuisine, an excellent breakfast buffet, very friendly and attentive staff, and a consistently helpful manager. If something is missing from the buffet, it is immediately replenished. Special requests are gladly accommodated upon request...

One of the best inns I have ever visited. Super nice and attentive staff, drinks and food brought quickly, dishes definitely homemade and no ready-made products. Each of us tasted absolutely delicious and the portions were actually too much. An absolute recommendation from me. Keep it up

Why won't 2G adhered to? Food was great but it was a queasy feeling when visiting. A note to fill out is not enough. All four of us were vaccinated. And the other guests. A cross is set quickly. Too bad.

We ate at the restaurant 2 out of 7 days, which means it was very good. The burger and the hirschbraten are definitely to try for any non-vegitarians.

We are passing through from Hoogezand (Groningen) Holland to karpacz and had a wonderful stay of 2 nights at hostel im osterzgebirge (Altenberg) Deutsland what a nice accommodation and nice people how they run everything it's like sitting in your own living room with friends. We will definitely stay here again on the way back. We regularly sleep in hotels, but sleeping here was much better.

Here you can only give 5 stars because it is a hostel and the term is lived. Clean rooms, great value for money and we as a family of 5 felt comfortable from the first day. Really nice place eventho it's a bit far from everything. Nice owner, speak a bit English but no problem at all. They have everything you need. Fridge, kitchen with everything you need. We stayed for 2 nights. Hot water did not work on the first night and we told the owner and they fix it right a way. No complain.

Nice appartement to stay. Very quiet area. Clean and comfy beds. Hot water wasn't working but got fixed immediately when asked. Supermarket is about 15 minute drive. Bad phone reception and mobile internet.

I had the opportunity to celebrate my 30th birthday at Hájovná and I have to absolutely recommend this place to everyone. Perfect agreement with the owners, beautiful nature and a really cozy guesthouse. If you are thinking about a pleasant stay in nature, this is the perfect place. The children didn't even want to be on the phone :-)))

A luxurious stay in Klín. Immediately upon arrival, the owner welcomed us and showed us around the apartment, showing us everything we needed. She advised where to go and see. The apartment is clean, spacious, parking right in front of the building and mainly located in a very quiet part on the edge of the village.

Bannewitz hotel is located in quaint Dresden suburbs, just 11 km from the city. It was perfect for a short stay to relax after all the fun we had at the city Christmas Fair. PERFECT again and again! Very clean, great, very friendly and competent team. I keep coming back, unfortunately very often booked out well in advance. If you have time in the morning, you can also have a royal breakfast, which is also recommended. A rating with a guarantee for travelers who do not want to do experiments.

Was there at the flea market organized by the hotel and therefore only briefly in the breakfast room. But it made a very neat, clean impression on me. I also got to know the operator of the hotel. They were very engaging and polite.

We came here again after a year for our wedding anniversary and we were again very satisfied. Great value for the price.. Cherming castle atmosphere, beautiful room. There was almost empty wellness area and pool so we enjoyed it a lot. Also we had delicious dinner and breakfast and nice walk around the castle.

This is a charming place. We got the best room in the castle the suite and the room was big and beautiful. The whole castle is adorable. They have a sauna and pool then the big hall room where you have breakfast. Some of the staff was not friendly but the place was amazing. Highly recommended. The hotel was centrally located to allow us to drive to Seiffen - about 10 minutes away. The room was very comfortable and the views from the top floor of the castle were excellent. However, be aware that the ceilings on the top floor are slanted and you can easily hit your head if you're not careful. We celebrated our golden wedding anniversary with family and friends here and felt really good. Very friendly staff. There is enough space for the children to play both inside and outside. The rooms are very nice. Particularly noteworthy is the gastronomy. The carriage ride in the pouring rain was also a special experience. We'd love to come back.

It was a hit here. Extremely friendly service. Not pushy but polite and attentive. And the food: I could have eaten the menu from top to bottom. I then decided on the roulade - a great choice.
