Hotel room was very clean. Wifi was quick. Service was friendly and fast. The restaurant was also nice since we were pretty wearing from traveling. The venison Gulasch with Knödel is great!!! You should definitely try it. The restaurant is cozy and the menu prices are pretty good value, not too expensive not too cheap either.

Very well maintained Guesthouse in a stylishly renovated half-timbered house in a very quiet side street near the market square. Parking is free in front of the house. Good Breakfast, beautiful room, immaculate shower room. Cheaper Price. An absolute recommendation.

Friendly and quaint - picturesque and rustic in the woods. The food is quite excellent and highly recommended. With the kind of accommodation I was, thanks to prima cleanliness and nice rest very satisfied. My family and I can highly recommend the Chalet really is!

We felt very spoiled from arrival to departure. Starting with the very, very friendly welcome at the front desk, very nice and top modern rooms, to the delicious breakfast, we really didn't miss anything. The room was brand new, perfect, clean, quiet, modern and had a great TV screen. (we stayed in the coach house) Enough parking spaces. The breakfast was the best we ever had; all you can think off and more all fresh and tasty; even several vegan options! Specific needs will be fulfilled no questions asked. We also had dinner twice this was Michelin star worthy!!

Anyone looking for a place of rest and relaxation has come to the right place at FreiWerk. The house is beautifully located on the edge of Stolberg, right in the middle of nature. The very attentive service and the extremely good kitchen made us feel completely at home. Absolutely deserved 5 *!

We have been to Freiwerk many times now. It is always characterized by its consistently excellent service and the quality of the food is consistently excellent. What is particularly great is that the card is constantly being renewed, which means that it doesn’t take a long time to come up. The barbecue brunch on Sundays in summer was also great and super relaxed in this great location.

Stolberg is a nice little town to visit and location of hotel is almost at mid-point of town. The room was good and clean. The staff at reception were really nice, welcoming, and helpful.

If you're looking for a old fashioned hotel, this is the place. So everything is old, except the wellness section which is the only reason we choose this hotel.

One of the beat hotels I stayed at on my 3 week journey through Germany. The restraunt has great food and a wonderful breakfast. The town is as good as Rothenburg ,but not as busy. The crown jewel of this hotel I would say is THE POOL. look for the buttons on the wall below the water surface. There are 6 of them. 6 different things happen. Be amazed. We didnt want to leave the pool.

The place itself is a dream. In October / November there is nothing as relaxing and quieter than Stolberg. We were now already 5 times over there and in the Chancellor. Says it all really. The staff is nice, friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are functional and clean. Price - performance is perfectly fine. We still had to find fault, never anything to. We were housed at the end of June 2014, for 6 nights at the Hotel Chancellor ( guest house ). The room was spacious, the bed was good. The chairs were the seat uncomfortable. If you lay in bed and still watching the TV, so you got some time Neck pain. Because the TV stand is too deep, it would be better if you would have mounted the TV on the wall. Some have an odd view (roof or wall of adjacent building), some are next to a heavy door to the corridor which keeps banging, some are next to the housekeeping room and early in the morning the trolleys run back and forth, some are above the kitchen and...

I have been here for 2 weeks for work. The spa is a great pleasure after a hard day's work. I had the honor of eating the delectable dishes of Eric Jadischke. He deserves a star on the guide Michelin. The hospitality of the hotel staff and the great dining attendantsmake it feel like home away from home. Keep it up

We will come here time and time again. We have already booked our next trip and will spend Christmas here. As a couple, with or without dog, this place is wonderful. Surrounded by forest and an oasis to just relax and enjoy great food, nice restaurants (there are a few on the premises) great wine selection, excellent Bar, and perfect service.

Excellent location by the main station and next to the Harz steam railway station. There is an excellent Italian restaurant next door if you don't want to use the hotel restaurant.

We only stayed one night but really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again. Room was lovely spacious and clean, perfect fit for family with small children. Front desk staff were lovely and helpful. Continental breakfast was great with loads of choice.

Staff absolutely outstanding, hotel not the newest but very clean and looked well maintained.

Nice little hotel. Rooms are newly designed and furnished. The breakfast buffet and the menu selection in the evenings as part of half-board are plentiful, varied and very good. In addition, drinks are included during mealtimes. The staff are very careful and courteous. Well suited for children, as there is a playground, a game reserve and soon a pool. We would come back.

Everything was good. Good clean room. Room was spacious with 2 queen size beds. There was enough towels in the bathroom and replaced regularly. Also had all other necessary toiletries. There was no mini fridge but I don't think anyone would care since they are the most untouched expensive things in the world. There were 2 bottles of sparkling water already in the room. They also have a nice open roof...

Hi. I stayed for one night, it was an amazing experience, nice and professional staff. The exact location is about 8-9 km far from Hauptbahnhof Erfurt. Room and toilet were nice and clean along its utilities as well.

Das Frühstück ist für den Zimmerpreis mit Frühstück angemessen. Natur pur . Nahverkehrsmittel vor der Tür. Dampflock ca. 700m durch den Wald erreichbar. Von dort in den ganzen Hartz. Alles super. wir kommen wieder. Und man kann dort auch sehr gut essen.

Die Lage im Wald hat uns sehr zugesprochen. Von hier konnten wir mit unseren Wanderungen direkt starten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt.

Don't be fooled by first impressions. The accommodation is gorgeous, nicely decorated, clean. The staff is super friendly and helps in every situation. The breakfast buffet contained everything that was needed and was delicious and plentiful. We would like to come again!!!

This is a typical tourist hotel with the facilities you would expect for families with children. We took advantage of the sauna area and enjoyed the four types of sauna. Breakfast was served in the restaurant. However, there weren't enough places to sit in the restaurant area, so a few tables had been placed in the hallway outside. This would have been okay, if only there had also been put some brighter...

We had booked the apartment/holiday apartment with two bedrooms. We didn't realize that this wasn't directly in the hotel, but 1km further away in Haus Tannengrün. When we arrived, the bed in the second bedroom was unmade. But it was done quickly after calling. The second bedroom is not directly in the apartment, but on the ground floor and you have to go through the hallway. May be difficult for families...

We were very satisfied with the hotel as such, also with the staff, great food, quiet location and a new sauna. We booked two double rooms for ourselves and friends through reisenaktuell, but unfortunately we only got very small two-bed/twin rooms in the attic. According to information, the hotel was initially fully booked and the organizer only booked the small, inexpensive rooms. When asked at reisenaktuell...

If you are looking for a quiet hotel without service, bar and restaurant, this is the right place for you. The hotel is idyllically located in the middle of the forest. No cell phone reception. Free WiFi with 1 bar. Dinner only if you book it, then only warmed up, no changes possible. The same cake was in the fridge all week. "Bar" closes at 8 p.m. "Biergarten" only with self-catering from fridge...

A wonderful hotel.. Not only do the rooms and the atmosphere score points, the surroundings are fantastically beautiful.. I can definitely recommend.... There is a sauna area and a large winter garden invites you to eat. For larger celebrations, a lovingly designed room is available separately... I was a completely satisfied guest...

Rooms are small but nice if you don't have high expectations. In other words, a small closet for things, no safe in the room. Service is friendly and makes an effort. Food is so holla, you shouldn't have too high expectations, you'll get full, everything isn't what it looks like.
