Hotel Residenz

When I saw it was an old and to me slightly dated"Grand Hotel" I was concerned my teen would not be impressed. This was a new and different experience and she loved it. So I would not hesitate to bring the family. This is a look back at hotels of days gone by and not the chain hotels they usually stay. It has a great location, overlooking the tower and the town. Parking was tight, but in our three days, we always found a space. The front desk has limited English skills as this area has very few English-speaking tourists, but we were always able to get what we needed. The spa was very nice. The baths are warm but not hot. The wet and dry saunas small but adequate. The breakfast buffet was very nice, there is only one person doing everything, but we were always directed to a clean table and provided with a pot of coffee. We only ate in the restaurant one night, the night we arrived, we did not have a reservation, but they were able to accommodate us.

Wonderful hotel for a short break. Nicely located above the city. Friendly welcome, nice service staff. Wellness only possible to a limited extent. Closet smelled extremely, so you didn't want to put things in. Food was great
