Where to stay in Bad Sachsa

I have never said this about a hotel stay before, and we have been on five continents. "PERFECTION", yes, really, in every aspect of our stay. You name the category, and it was all beyond our very high expectations at a very reasonable price for how we stayed in a suite package. The fire alarm rang for no reason during the late evening. Out of 3 saunas, 2 were out of order and the last one understandably a bit crowded. Breakfast buffet was however really good.

Have just spent 4 incredible nights here. Our room had a panoramic view of the frozen lake and snowy hills. The spa is one of the best I have visited, ever. Spacious, plenty of rooms and therapies (with no added extras for almost all) and even the sauna area had over 10 different rooms to use. Note the sauna area is ‘textile free’ and nudity is the norm but if you are conservative you can use a towel...

The rooms are OK with view on the water, large balcony The restaurant should be improved, plates quite bad, returned most. The “chef” told us he would do something but didn’t heard anything later on. Can hardly recommend.

Enjoyed our recent stay here. Rooms and food first class. Has a small swimming pool with other spa facilities, all immaculate. The owners couldn’t do enough to make us feel special. Highly recommend!

The only minus for us... there was no tea possibility at the room. Only nespresso. My wife don’t drink café. Further all was very positive!!!

A fantastic hotel in a very quiet location. The rooms are very clean and you can sleep comfortably in the beds. We found it great that the bathroom / shower and toilet are separate. These are very clean and modern (no soap residue etc.). Boss and staff are very courteous and helpful. Breakfast, despite corona pandemic restrictions, rich and tasty. Super friendly lady who served us. Had a delicious German schnitzel, I had the wiener art, my partner the jäger schnitzel, for a German price. We will definitely come here more often to eat.

A very nice, traditional restaurant. We ate at Lindenhof as a family of 7 and both the service and the food were wonderful. The offering is varied and the portions are very generous. The service was very nice and accommodating. A little chat with the chef at the end of our visit rounded off our evening. We recommend!

We 'only' ate here, so we can't say much about the hotel itself. The staff was very friendly and we still got something to eat despite the break. Portions were large enough that some of us had to pack our own food. Parking spaces are located next to and in front of the restaurant. Depending on the season and timing, it could be tight. However, it is centrally located so parking should be available...

The renovated old building offers a stately ambience. In the main building there are many leisure facilities, such as a sauna, swimming pool, children's playroom, pool table, fitness room and a library. We had rented a spacious holiday apartment in the opposite building at a really reasonable price. Super great, super friendly, super BREAKFAST and great atmosphere. In addition, swimming pool, sauna, gym, billiard table and. much more. Everything a person needs to relax. Also ideal for families. There is not WiFi in all rooms, but it didn't bother us since we were on vacation here. We would come back anytime.

Very nice accommodation and very nice staff. Definitely something for spontaneous skiers, since everything such as a rich breakfast, pool solarium, etc. is available. Good value for money and right now an option where the Harz is almost fully booked. I've been there twice, in the summer but can only recommend it... We were the first time with the whole family in the Harz Mountains. It's all a bit older but somehow has charm. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was great too. However, the "fitness room" was very dreary with 3 devices, the billiard table and the accessories were broken and the table football was also broken. These are all little things that don't affect the holiday, but somehow ruin the overall...

+ Beautiful holiday home with all facilities, friendly staff at the main reception. + Excellent swimming pool for kids and adults + Many good hiking places nearby - A bitter experience at the reception of the swimming pool for kids who couldn’t explain their problem in German but only in Dutch and English. Who shouts on kids… They remember this as holiday ruining experience, unfortunately.

We had a great time in Landal Salztal Paradies. The house was nice, warm and well equipped. Very recommended!

Positive surprised by the bungalows and Salztal freizeits anlage. Only 25-30 minutes to wurmberg ski destination, which is very much like many Swedish destinations.

Great hotel Geat small hotel, not far from.the motorway. Owners speak english and breakfast is delicious.

We had a lovely three nights stay. Some of the rooms have been more renovated than the others but all just as comfortable. Shower had very warm water and the heaters warmed up to room super well! The breakfast was very enjoyable with many sorts of cheeses and meats. They make you eggs in the way you prefer them. They don’t have very many parking spots but you can park on the nearby streets if needed

Very nice house furnished with lots of love. Were there at Christmas time, it was decorated, the house was already heated when we arrived. The landlords are very nice and our dog felt very comfortable. You can start from the house directly into nature to go for a walk. It's really worth it

The accommodation is great. But we were only there for 2 nights. The stove of our accommodation could use a renewal. A pizza just doesn't work in there. We stayed in Blockhaus 3 over the weekend. Very comfortably furnished with everything you need. The landlords are very nice. Very suitable for dogs. We will be back definitely.

Friendly, uncomplicated and quiet location. Breakfast buffet offers a great selection and rolls are freshly baked at a desired time. The rooms are getting old, but are still nice and offer everything you need. A perfect hotel for motorcyclists on a holiday visit to the Harz Mountains. I would go there again on my next visit.

A direct hit! The house is neat and tidy. The breakfast is perfectly fine. The landlord will also be happy to park your bike safely. Beware of cyclists: just before the quarter, things go up by 18 percent. Pinch cheeks together and high! :-) In short: anytime again. Thanks very much!

Very friendly reception, good breakfast for loading up for hikes and trailheads just out the door. Highly recommended for single travellers who are not fussed. Bed and bathroom acceptably clean.

For the adventurous hiker the spot in Bad Sachsa. After a walk 90m up i arrived late at this hotel. Were i was welcomed by a very friendly staff. There is free wifi and the rooms are basic but very clean. Bedwise was a little bummer but i am 2m01 so a 1 person bed is not recomendable. The breakfast included was very good. Lot of choices and fresh from that day. Overall 4 stars because they do deserve...

for two nights we had to stay the pleasure of being here. we were very warmly welcomed.the room and bathroom were spades clean...nowhere to be found a mote. the Breakfast was varied and sufficient . the dinner was for a 3-course menu, very reasonably priced and delicious.the entire house made a very neat impression, since it can take some 4 - or 5 - star house is an example. we would love to come again...

The staff was very friendly and accommodated to our requests for bringing along a dog. Everything was clean and the hotel is very close to the park.
