We were happy to have found alternative accommodation with this hotel. We had a vacation rental through Airbnb and the vacation rental was on a building site. Here in the hotel we were welcomed in a very friendly, happy manner and felt at home from the start! Even if the hotel was getting on in years, I never noticed any smells or uncleanliness. The strenght is to be found in serenity. There is enough peace in Wieda and to slow down is a stay in the hotel "Zur Schanze" perfect. With its nostalgic charm it upgrades the holiday. It is clean and harmoniously decorated. In the area are all points of interest and attractions. Gladly again. Have fun balancing with pure nature.

A nice hotel in which we slept over the weekend. It has a rock solid and rustic decor and everything you need to take care of yourself. The hosts are a dream - open, friendly, helpful - everything you could wish for. If we come back for biking then we will probably stay here again.

Spent one night here on my hike. It's a very basic hotel but clean and has everything you need. The hosts are extremely nice and helpful, the food and beer in the evening was very tasty. Everything you need for breakfast is offered and you will definitely be full. I would definitely stop here again.

We were the first time with the whole family in the Harz Mountains. It's all a bit older but somehow has charm. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was great too. The rooms are getting old, but are still nice and offer everything you need. A perfect hotel for motorcyclists on a holiday visit to the Harz Mountains. I would go there again on my next visit.

A direct hit! The house is neat and tidy. The breakfast is perfectly fine. The landlord will also be happy to park your bike safely. Beware of cyclists: just before the quarter, things go up by 18 percent. Pinch cheeks together and high! :-) In short: anytime again. Thanks very much!

For the adventurous hiker the spot in Bad Sachsa. After a walk 90m up i arrived late at this hotel. Were i was welcomed by a very friendly staff. We had a lovely three nights stay. Some of the rooms have been more renovated than the others but all just as comfortable. Shower had very warm water and the heaters warmed up to room super well!
