What amazing hosts! Friendly, welcoming, informative. The house is beautiful and rooms playful with amazing period pieces. Breakfast was a feast. At least 5 types of cheeses, hams, salami, fruits, veggies and condiments. Not only big spread but also we got the eggs made to order! Did not need to eat for the rest of the day! Thank you guys! Nice house, lovingly furnished and beautifully situated. Unfortunately, some rooms smell very bad, probably poorly ventilated or damp beds. The breakfast was just so. However, the service is very attentive and friendly. And the morning coffee tastes good!

We spent a great holiday there in autumn. You can tell the attention to detail in the service, the room and restaurant equipment, decoration and the excellent menu! Excellent quality of the food, professional service team. As a guest you feel very comfortable here. I can only recommend.

Typical European hotel without minibar or elevators. You have to schlepp the luggage up 2 stories yourself along a staircase without banisters! Apart from this staff was super helpful. Attached to the hotel is a Kroatien restaurant. The food was great. So was the breakfast for €18 for the 4 of us!

Food, as well as hospitality just great

We made a wonderful autumn hike in the Ehrental near Schmalkalden. My students give 999 stars in preparation and hospitality. Warm, nice, child-friendly ... awesome all the staff. We would love to come back. The deer were an additional highlight.

If you want to explore the castle of Wartburg this is THE place to stay. Very romantic and beautiful location with views of the Thüringer forest. Nice room with the authentic feeling of being in a castle. Good restaurant offering local specialities. The staff helped with transportation of luggage from the parking lot to the hotel which is on top of a very steep hill.

This is a super cute b&b with modern and clean furnishings. The staff were very accommodating for my father and gave him a room on the main floor because he was not able to climb the stairs to his room on the third floor. Short-term overnight stays were made possible. Very friendly welcome. Cash payment without invoice. Overnight in a large room with a fully equipped kitchen and a small bathroom, all in the outbuilding (garden shed) of the actual villa right next to the pool. Electric fan heaters in the room and bathroom. Bed comfortable. Restful sleep. Unfortunately it wasn't that clean. A lot of dust in the room....

The location is amazing, easy to reach from the A4. We stayed on the 4th floor and woke up to the most amazing views.

A decent typical German hotel. Views are nice. Parking is free, but can be hard to get if it's super busy. It's can be difficult to communicate here if you only speak English.

Hotel is placed on top of the hill with great view. Restaurant has two sections (inside and outside), both with nice view on surrounding area.

First of all, the restaurant is now closed and according to the boss, the hotel will also be closing soon. The reception was friendly, you can drive up to the barrier-free and covered entrance to unload. The atmosphere is rustic, like the 80s, rooms are OK, but it's very tight around the bed. You can't take off your shoes because there's only one shoe's length of space next to the bed The mattresses...

On the occasion of a family celebration, the five of us were able to experience two wonderful days there. Large rooms with great beds, quiet in the hallway, wonderful breakfast buffet. All in all, the family atmosphere of the Jägerklause contributed to the relaxation. We absolutely have to appreciate the friendliness of these amiable Thuringians. Thank you for everything.

Nice little hotel. So far everything is okay, unfortunately no lounges. No possibility to sit down anywhere as a group, not even outside of meals, in the dining room. Food was ok.

Jaegerklause is still my favorite place to go when in this area. Rooms are clean. The area is nice and quiet and the food is excellent. Even in these harsh, disease stricken times, the stay was great.

We also really enjoyed our second stay. Friendly staff who take care of the concerns and wishes of the guests. The room is functionally furnished and clean, the breakfast is sufficient and tasty. We'd love to come back.

Die Pension liegt in einem ruhigen Teil von Eisenach (also nicht an einer Durchgangsstraße), aber man kommt trotzdem bequem zu Fuß in die Innenstadt und kann auch die Wartburg gut zu Fuß erreichen. The bed was excellent, the breakfast likewise. The location was perfect my purposes studying the lives of Bach and Luther.

The hotel met all of our expectations. The staff in particular contributed to this and were very friendly and customer-oriented. The next time we visit Eisenach, we will book this hotel again.

The building is very old in style and Arcitecture the reception feels very welcoming lots of information and things to look at. Receptionist spoke English too and was very friendly. (Embarrassing) to get Attention of the wait staff.. Specifically the two males .."Not" in Uniform. I was twice in the restaurant before coming in the hotel. The restaurant was famous. Now it is Covid time and thanks to be open. Rooms are fine. Found this by chance on the internet,If you are arriving by train you'd be best advised to get a taxi(if you have a serious amount of luggage). Reminded me of the small family run hotels that I went to as a child . Loved the look of it ,the staff were always really helpful and the rooms were clean and well appointed.
