Hotel opened in 1994, renovated in 2006. In this mini-hotel 36 rooms, 3 floors.
Policies and conditions
- Children of any age are allowed.
Children up to and including 3 years old stay for free when using an available cot.
Children up to and including 3 years old stay for free when using an existing bed.
Children from 4 years old to 10 years old stay for € 20 per person per night when using an existing bed.
Children from 11 years old to 14 years old stay for € 30 per person per night when using an existing bed.
People no matter the age stay for free when using an available extra bed.
Any type of extra bed or child's cot/crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by management.

First of all, the restaurant is now closed and according to the boss, the hotel will also be closing soon.
The reception was friendly, you can drive up to the barrier-free and covered entrance to unload.
The atmosphere is rustic, like the 80s, rooms are OK, but it's very tight around the bed. You can't take off your shoes because there's only one shoe's length of space next to the bed
The mattresses are completely worn out, you sit on the slatted frame, but the bathroom and cleanliness are impeccable.
You can see the huge investment backlog that has accumulated here.

I've never been treated like this before. Customer service is ignored here. I called at night to ask for another room, it was too loud to sleep. Quote: “I shouldn’t act like that, the guests would be gone soon!” How can you treat guests like that? What kind of backwoods treatment is this? Listen to the concept of the Sacher Hotel in Vienna. The customer should come back and, ideally, make new customers aware of the hotel! Then you understood it. The customer is not king, the customer is a guest. But being treated like that, as a guest I can only advise others not to waste their money here.

Jaegerklause is still my favorite place to go when in this area. Rooms are clean. The area is nice and quiet and the food is excellent. Even in these harsh, disease stricken times, the stay was great.

On the occasion of a family celebration, the five of us were able to experience two wonderful days there. Large rooms with great beds, quiet in the hallway, wonderful breakfast buffet.
All in all, the family atmosphere of the Jägerklause contributed to the relaxation. We absolutely have to appreciate the friendliness of these amiable Thuringians. Thank you for everything.

Nice little hotel. So far everything is okay, unfortunately no lounges. No possibility to sit down anywhere as a group, not even outside of meals, in the dining room. Food was ok.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights on business.
In summary: I didn't sleep the first night, the second night is right now, at 12:31 am.
Positive:
- I had a renovated room
Negative:
- From the parking lot to the hotel entrance, an ascent with a suitcase has to be overcome on foot
- very clairaudient
- I heard every guest as if they were standing by the bed
- Heaters must be switched off at night, otherwise the noises made by the heaters will keep you awake
- Mattress is extremely soft, after one night I have a hell of a backache
- Pillow is available, but no felt content, very flat.
